Quote:It's a Nemesis plot.I was just checking out the Titan Weapons Powerset and came across a page on a new powerset called Staff Fighting. I have read no mention anywhere on the City of heroes pages or anything from any known dev that this powerset is even being considered, much less coming out soon. Where did this info come from?
Did the writer get it from a reliable source or did the same Prince of Nigeria who sent me an email in my spam wanting to wire him ten thousand dollars so he can wire me a million dollars write it?
Anyways here is the page: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Staff_Fighting -

Well done. I'm hoping to try the new trials over the weekend.

Truth. Six of us took down the Seed of Hami yesterday afternoon. I was surprised at the relative ease of the task.

Quote:Placta, thanks once again to organizing these runs. It's a lot of work building the teams, and prepping the league in advance with detailed instructions. It probably doesn't get said enough, but again, "Thank you!"I'm beginning to wish I'd started a log of ways Green Stuff failed when I started this. It's aggravating now, but when we get there, things like "Truck stopped backwards movement, wasn't quite out of the beam" will be funny. (That was me, a couple of months ago.)
So, yeah, only did a successful Bunker Buster today.
We were missing a lot of regulars and semi-regulars today. I suppose with the holiday season, it's to be expected, because after all...
I won't be able to do this next Sunday. To make up for it, I'm going to try to do it next Saturday when I get home from work (likely between 4:00 and 4:30 PM EST). To answer the concern expressed by one of the regulars who can't make it: In the event that the comedy of errors doesn't continue, I'll still keep the Sunday runs going for a while. Although I may put them on hiatus until January.
I should be able to make the Saturday run. I'll occasionally pop into these forums to see if you post any updates.
You know, it's going to be especially sweet when we nail Green Stuff. Should have had it last week. Should have had it today. We're on the doorstep, knocking away. So close. We'll get it. -
Very frustrating day. On our 3rd attempt, we were nailing Green Stuff and had gotten past AM's third regeneration. Then, some genius in the league decided to rez in the middle of the frakkin' obliteration beam. Game over.
No amount of preparation can overcome that kind of stupid. Sorry if I sound harsh, but there was no valid reason for that attempt to have failed, when we were literally seconds away from finishing the trial.
On the plus side, the remnants of the league (six of us), took down the Seed of Hami. Thanks to those who stuck around for that, gaining me another badge. So, the afternoon wasn't a complete loss. -
Quote:Or, if you had a second account, 96.Well.... considering the limit on the number of members a SG can have is 150...
and the max amount of character slots you can have on a server is 48...
I'd say you could conceivably have 48 alts all in one SG...

(What? It's true.) -
Quote:Well played Paragon Studios. Well played, indeed. This ensures I'll be blowing 800 points on TW and the weapons pack right away.Yep, here's a link: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...6&postcount=48

I'd forgotten about the end crash. Frankly, I never notice it on my main, who keeps Hasten on auto-fire (only about 8 seconds down time between Hasten expiring, and re-firing). The end crash shouldn't be a factor in determining whether to auto fire or not. IMO.

Quote:This was my thinking as well.I think if I do ever get around to using this set I'd do it with a tiny sized character so that the weapons look that much bigger compared to the character. If I'm accepting the concept I might as well make the size difference as silly as possible.

Quote:There's nothing about the set that would warrant, IMO, a deviation in the price from previous power sets. I've been assuming it will be 800 points.I knoe they drop tuesday but what they gonna cost 800 pp like the other sets>?
Being the cheap bugger that I am, I still haven't picked up Street Justice yet, hoping it will go on sale at some point, like the Beam Rifle when it was first listed for sale. So, I'm not sure I'll pick up TW immediately. Eventually I will buy it though.
I'm a bit uncomfortable with three of the last four power sets released (Time Manipulation, Beam Rifle, Street Justice, and Titan Weapons) have been placed up for sale on Paragon Market (i.e. not free for VIPs). But, that said, having four sets released in pretty quick succession is pretty impressive. -

You'll definitely want to get onto some global chat channels:
1. Champions United
2. BMT of Champion (strict rules, invite required)
3. Champions Unleashed (newer channel, used infrequently)
4. ChampioNexus (strict rules, invite required -- send /tell to @Amygdala)
5. Champion Trials
6. Champion Redside
I think BMT of Champion and Champions United might be full. Champions Unleashed is a newer channel, aimed at folks who weren't able to get on either BMT or United, but, it hasn't really taken off. Nexus is a newer channel, not too many folks on it, but it seems to be getting some traction. Champion Trials is more geared towards 50 incarnate content, but I do see it used sometimes for lower level content. Champion Redside is geared toward villain content.
I'm on all these channels, but Champions United is my preferred channel, as it's open to any content discussion, or even just idle banter. Some of the other channels have rules against, for example, discussions about farming (there are some rather overzealous mods that power-trip and summarily kick from the channel at the slightest deviation from channel rules). Champions United also seems to have the most people on at any given time compared with the others.
So I don't miss anything, I have a tab window dedicated to only these global channels, which helps ensure I see everything being posted to them (i.e. messages don't get lost in other channels' chatter, such as broadcast, local, etc.).
I wish you luck in your quest for teamage. -
Gunslinger costume parts look interesting, I'll probably pick those up.

I pay by the year anyways, so this is a no brainer for me.

Quote:Yeah, it's a noggin-scratcher that's for sure. It was our third run, with 15 pretty tight knit folks, I'm certain any culprit would have fessed up. But, no one noticed any other person in the beam, and everybody was confident they'd avoided it. Makes no sense. I'd really like to see the server log info.Yep, just got the same email. It's disappointing, and I'm not sure how all of us missed it.
Ah, well.
Maybe someone ran into the beam by accident, after it had started firing?
It's a puzzler.
I'll be back again on Sunday, but this inability to get Green Stuff is really starting to rub against the grain. -
Lame. I'd really like to know who was determined to be in the beam. Because, none of us noticed it. None of us, despite close monitoring. I'm sorry, but I'm calling bollocks on the server logs.

Hello again,
I was able to determine from server logs that a member of your character's league was in the path of the Devastation Beam during the Keyes Island Trial last night. This is unfortunately the reason members of your league were not eligible for the Avoids the Green Stuff badge. As such, I cannot grant it to you by request.
If there's anything else, please let us know!
Best,
GM Lloyd

Got the same email, that they're still looking into it, also. So, hopefully this is a case of no news equals good news. I agree with Placta: we got Green Stuff on that last run, irrespective of our petition's results.
Edit to add: gratz to those who received badges from yesterday's run. -
If I were to apply the codes, I'd probably do them in chronological order, which would mean:
1. CoV
2. CoV CE
3. AE
4. GR
YMMV
