Quote:I have many fond memories of Tabula Rasa. Even today, I still really miss it.I can think of only 4 MMO's that have shut down
Motor City Online
Asheron's Call 2 (but the original is still around)
Star Wars (to make room for the new one)
and Tabula Rasa
of course Tabula Rasa was by the same company that runs CoX
but in general it is very cheap to run an MMO if you put minimal dev work into running it. So turning one off that has even a few thousand paying customers probably doesn't make much sense. -
I thoroughly enjoyed SSA#5.
My favorite part: RAIN!!!!! -
Quote:Missed the part where the OP referenced his "rogue." You're quite right, of course.Strictly speaking, that's true. However, there are two slightly different versions of the Ouroboros zone. Heroes and vigilantes have their own Ouroboros instance, and the echo of Galaxy City can only be accessed from there. Villains and rogues use a different Ouroboros (with different missions inside the pillars of fire and ice, different zone destinations at the exit, and no echo of Galaxy City).
So no, villains and rogues cannot visit Galaxy City's echo.

Finally got Dreamwalker and MoMoM earlier tonight, bringing my total to 1306. I'm effectively "finished" badging until the next issue -- first time that's happened to me.
Now if only they'd do something about the Passport badge...... -

Quote:To my knowledge, the echo of GC isn't gated in any way, including by alignment.I was grabbing CoH exploration badges on my Rogue last night, but when I went into Oro to go after the badges in the Echo of Galaxy City, I couldn't find the Oro portal that suppoedly takes you there. I had other things to do so I didn't bother to go looking for it on a Hero/Vig last night.
So, if I want those badges, do I have to be all the way blue? I will be eventually just to get the badges for doing that, but I was curious. -
Congratulations on the badges.
That's hilarious the end boss wandered out of the room BEFORE the cut scene. -

It's honestly long past the time for this thread to die.

I was sitting on seven tokens, so it was a no-brainer to burn three of them for these nifty pieces.

Congrats to those who got the badges! I was busy leveling up a new lowbie Street Justice character, so didn't make it out to help, but it sounds like there was plenty of help to go around. Well done, and good show Champion!

Quote:Think I'm going to agree with Tenzhi here. I don't see the advantages this exploit provides to be particularly game breaking. It shouldn't be happening, I agree, but one of two things is at play here. Either, first, the devs cannot figure out a solution to the problem. Or, second, it's not high enough on a priority list to devote resources for a fix. Either way, posting it here is probably going to be frowned upon by the powers that be.Nope. The advantage to it is minimal at best. For the most part you don't manually dodge in this game. If an attack gets initiated on you it doesn't matter how well you move away while attacking it will still hit you. It might make kiting - an inefficient strategy - slightly less irritating in certain circumstances. They could remove rooting altogether and the only bad thing about it would be the wonky animations that might ensue.

Avoids the Green Stuff -- simply due to the sheer satisfaction of finally nailing this most difficult of badges.
-
Quote:I can attest to this. A few of us, just before Christmas, nailed Green Stuff and MoKeyes after literally four months of trying (and failing) -- the most frustrating failure was when a player used a wakie right in the middle of a beam, and this was after AM's 3rd regen when we were literally seconds from success. But, during that final run when I saw that text on my screen confirming the badges, I literally yelped with joy, and believe I did a fist pump, or two.As for keyes, I hates it , but getting them will be so much sweeter when it finally happens.
MoKeyes has been proudly displayed on my badger since, and I don't foresee removing it any time soon.
Now, if I can only nab Deathsurge during the first phase of MoM, I'd be "finished" badging until the next issue. -
There's not much about the iTrials that I hate. In fact, I enjoy the trials by and large. The exception is Lambda -- I don't hate the trial, it just bores me to tears for some reason.
The incarnate system and the iTrials have breathed fresh life into this game for me. Before incarnates, my interest in CoX was on the wane and I was playing infrequently (I'm a seven year vet, approaching eight years). The incarnate system gave me a reason to dust off my main/badger and play her through the incarnate system. This new found enthusiasm has also manifested itself in leveling up new characters in recent months, something I hadn't done in probably a year and a half.
So, that's my take on the iTrials: love 'em. -

That's not my experience (although I have heard this working for some folks). The first time it happened to me I tried both logging into another character, and completely logging from the game, and restarting from the NC Launcher. I still couldn't log into my character. I just had to wait a few minutes.
-
Quote:Known bug. It's happened quite a few times, to a few of us. TPN's are a crap shoot, essentially, until this thing is fixed.Alright, so I just crashed out of a TPN for the first time. I tried restarting my client/launcher/computer, and I'm still having this issue.
I go to log in and I get the, "This account is already logged," or whatever it is that's typical when you're kicked.
I try again and I get in. I go to my last played character in hopes of requing to catch the rest of the trial and get this:
I wait a second, try again, and then I get this:
I've never seen or heard of this before. Help is appreciated.
Edit: I just checked and I'm able to log in other characters just fine.
Just have to wait a few minutes to be able to log back into your character. -

Largely agree with this. I really (REALLY!) wish Cimerora access would be sold on the market. Similar to the cape and aura unlocks, the access remains free to those who want to run the arc. But an option to buy access for, say, 400-800 points would be nice.
I wouldn't say this was high on my wish list, but it's an it-would-be-nice item.
