Could it be the OP created a new account, instead of re-using an existing account?

Quote:Just for counterpoint purposes, my last three computers were Dells (two desktops, one laptop). My current desktop is pushing seven years in age and, while I am now seriously contemplating replacing it, it still functions perfectly well, and runs CoH just fine (I did upgrade to 6G RAM and a new video card about two years ago, for about $300). My most recent single-player game I've purchases is Deus Ex Human Revolution, and it runs fine as well. The Dells they got did not impress me and have been royal pains in my butt(Vista has "quirks") to keep working right.
They're not bad, but Dell is not a "premier manufacturer" like Alienware, Voodoo or Hypersonic(I think they still exist).
On the occasions where I've needed customer support, they've been very responsive.
Not discounting Immortalus' experience at all. Like I said, just providing a counterpoint perspective from a very satisfied Dell user. -
Quote:You really are a glutton for punishment, aren't you Amy?This Sunday April 8th at 3pm Eastern in Pocket D I will host a few consecutive Keyes runs aimed at earning the badges for MoKeyes, specifically Avoids the Green Stuff and Loves a Challenge.
These badges can be extremely difficult to get. For this reason I will ask that you are familiar with the basics of the Keyes trial. E.g., it's not your first time, you know what I mean by "Obliteration Beam", etc.
Hope to see you there!
I'll be out of town, so won't be able to make it on the 8th, but I wish you the best of luck! -
Quote:I've got my beast/poison to 50, so all my pets have all the upgrades. I find all of the pets have endurance issues, not just Dire Wolf. They seem to burn through it with reckless abandon.Ok, so I hit 26 last night and tried my Dire Wolf.
Not bad... but it has one big problem. His endurance usage!!!
My Dire Wolf can run low on endurance just from two fights and I don't even have 2nd upgrade.
This is a big issue. I have experience with Demon Prince, Commando and Oni. They mostly only run low on endurance with two upgrades but my Dire Wolf is low on endurance all the time at lvl 26.
Am I the only one noticing this?? Yes, I will put some -endurance in it but I don't know if 2nd upgrade will cause it using even more endurance. I just think it's a bit too much? I don't have any pet sets right now (won't get any until lvl 35) so I had to keep passing blue inspirations to it! -
Quote:Frustrating as heck running a mastermind on an incarnate trial. Last night on a Lambda with my beast/poison MM, at the end just before the Marauder fight starts, team was gathering, buffing, etc. I have my pets on absolute passive mode.Exactly. They stop for a couple seconds in acknowledgement, then the AI overrides the command and they go charging away.
So, what do they do? Completely aggro onto Maurader and zerg him, from 50 yards away. While still in passive mode. Seriously, WTF? Spamming my passive bind has ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT.
So, I dismiss them all, and re-summon. Set to absolute passive mode, and the new pets completely aggro on Marauder and zerg him. Again, WTF? I feel like a complete idiot, thinking people in the league must think I'm sending them into battle deliberately.
It would be nice if passive mode was just that. Passive. As in, stay put. Do nothing. What a concept. -

Cinn wrapped up the DA day job earlier this week, now sitting on 1357 badges (badge hunter, of course, only acknowledging 1356). Now awaiting issue 23.
I rushed Cinn through the new DA content without reading a lot of the storyline, so I'm running through it again with my newest 50, a Beast/Poison mastermind, taking the time to read all of the text and storyline, this time. -
Quote:This advice cannot be overstated. There's some really smart people over on the Tech Issues forum that will almost certainly provide you with some excellent advice. For technical issues like this, you'll often have better luck in the ALL ACCESS: Gameplay / Technical Issues & Bugs section, different people often watch those threads to help.

Are you perpetually this unpleasant? Your little rant over on the Archetype thread, and your most unhelpful snark here....why post at all?

Quote:Assuming you're looking in the new Dark Astoria, I believe you'll need to visit the old Dark Astoria for the old history and exploration badges. An "echo" of Dark Astoria can be accessed through a portal in Ouroborus. The portal is located behind the main building in Ouroborus. A Galaxy City echo can also be accessed here. This portal can only be accessed through the hero Ouroborus.Did they move the Dark Astoria plaque for the Authority (history) badge? I did a rather extensive search of the area where it's supposed to be but to no avail.
If you're searching the echo DA, none of the plaques or badges were moved, AFAIK. -
Quote:Disregard. There was an NPC I overlooked, and of course the only one on the map with anything of relevance to say in advancing the mission. Just my luck...Okay, what exactly am I supposed to do on the first mission of the new Destiny Follows red-side arc? I've spoken with all of the NPC villains and there appears to be nothing left for me to do. It's a small map, and there don't appear to be any glowies to click, or enemies to fight.
The mission is called Infiltrate the Meeting Grounds. The objective given is, "Gather information from the other Destined Ones."
I'm quite certain I'm missing something glaringly obvious, but a little help would be much appreciated.
Cheers... -

Quote:The arc kind of tricks you into thinking that mission #3 is the last mission of the arc. (Well, I was tricked.) On mission #3, there is no option to "turn off" the NPCs.And for "lone wolf" where's the option to ditch the NPC help??? I didn't see that either!
In fact, there are a total of six missions. It is on mission #6 where you get the option to ditch the NPC support with respect to the Lone Wolf badge. -
Quote:Clever. Of course, I ran it twice just last night.Just an FYI guys, you can actually get both Deadly Combatant and Dignified Combatant in the same run.
After making your choice and leaving the mission, you'll have to go talk to Graham Easton to actually finish the mission.
If you simply abandon the mission, you'll be able to immediately pick it up again and start over from the "search warehouse" portion of it.
I grabbed both badges within maybe 10 minutes.
Oh well, it's a fairly short arc anyways. -
I was coming here to post the question, but I think it's answered. My in-game badge count is 1349, but badge hunter only has me at 1348. I'm assuming this particular badge is the reason.

Quote:Congrats!!!1Sorry, I just really needed to share.
I had given up on this badge because I didn't want to take the time to PVP or deal with another account. But the itch for badges finally won out last month so I created a free account and leveled two villains up to 15 and headed out to Bloody Bay.
And today, after many boring, grindy hours in the waters of BB, I've finally gotten my Longbow Warden 2 and Disruptor badges! -

Quote:Quite a few of us noticed this back in January. What we discovered (when we petitioned) was that, apparently, those who took advantage of the 12+2 month sale back in December had their monthly points stipend date changed to the 28th of the month (or thereabouts). Not sure how widespread the problem was, but those of us discussing it in a forum thread all shared this characteristic, and we all received the same answer to our petitions. My anniversary is the 23rd, and except at the very beginning of Paragon Points, that is when they have been showing up. Ditto my Reward Tokens. I saw some notices flitter by that everything was going to be consolidated to something like the 1st of the month, period, for everyone... and then my points continued to show up for a couple of months on the 23rd as usual, so I figured the announced change was being stored in the City Vault, if you get my drift.
Except now.
My Reward Token has arrived, but not the Points.
There could be many things at work. Example: The previous Forum maintenance said that all VIP names would "default to gold." Mine did not. The answers I got amounted to that "default" meant I still had to take some affirmative action and only the NEW VIPs would "default." I figured it meant everyone would be set to gold and would have to take action to change to white, but concluded I just misunderstood. This last Forum maintenance changed my name to gold, which is what I figured was afoot--- I have never taken any action on that.
So is it that after months of announcing a date certain that everyone will get their Points on, it has finally happened, or has the Points computer belched and they will show up a little late, or have they gone the way of the emails I no longer ever receive or what?
So, if you signed up for the 12+2 deal in December, your stipend date has likely changed.
If this doesn't apply to you, I suggest you send in a /petition to query further.
Good luck!
