  1. Set out to trash Anti-Matter. Did so. after beating on Neuron, Bobcat, Marauder, and Shadowhunter first. Celebrated afterwards.
  2. I still remember the time I got chewed out for my Tanker's build. I didn't take Taunt, because the way it was set up at the time (pre-NGE... oh, sorry, "Enhancement Diversification". Same damn difference.), I drew more than enough group aggro from one-shotting a yellow Minion or blue LT. And if something got by me, well, they were next, and they didn't like being next. At any rate, this guy just rails on me about how I'm not playing a Tanker correctly. I just told him "sorry I'm not your aggro monkey, now shut up and watch". We were in a full group, and taking on Freakshow at level 47 in a mission. My Tanker was 46 at the time. I told everyone to stand back and don't do a thing. Fifty seconds later, every Freakshow was dead, and my health hadn't gone below 80 percent. I didn't hear a peep from him after that.

    The 600 Club!

And I thought I was doing good with my main sitting at 258... sheesh, y'all put me to shame. Congrads to all that have hit this milestone.
  4. It's weird. It snowed here last week, and yet today, while I'm doing house cleaning, it's 71 outside. Supposed to be 74 tomorrow, which is my birthday (which means I ain't doing a flippin' thing except play CoH all day). However, we're supposed to go to Denver on Thursday for the Rockies-Brewers game, and they're saying 45 and slop. Which means, when we get to the Eisenhower Tunnel, it'll be snowing to beat the band (and Berthoud Pass on US 40 will likely be closed). Crazy next couple of months, I guess.

    Nintendo Hard

Final Fight. I did complete it, several times over, but you had to play it about a thousand times to be able to do it in less than 20 continues.
  6. Yeah, we had over 350 inches between 12 October of last year and 15 April this year, which was actually down from the year previous, when we pushed 500 inches out of the way. I don't mind it so much anymore.
  7. Again, could log in the tanker for at least Sister Psyche and Moonfire. Might ahve to work an overnight that evening, so I'm not sure on the respec TF.
  8. No, Fedor, just up in the mountains. Had to bring in the plants last night, had a freeze warning out. Real fun when you get home from work at 10:30, and it's already 28 degrees outside. Didn't even get a chance to light up the fireplace before the lure of warm blanket and soft pillow called me away.
  9. Again, for this one, I'd be bringing my Invul/SS tanker.
  10. Well, Rookery, you can be thankful for your rain, it snowed here yesterday and last night. 5 inches on the car this morning. And once again, it doesn't make it until my birthday to snow.
  11. I can log in either my Invul/SS tanker, or my emp/dark defender, whichever might be needed. They're both level 50, but if I understand the auto-exemp right (it's been a while), it won't matter, they're just jones'ing for that badge.
  12. My solution to this is to give them a one-way trip to my Ignore list, and write down their handle so that, when I keep adding influence spammers to it, and theirs comes off the list because of it, I just re-add it. I've kept no less than 25 people on that list that way.
  13. I blame the twin weapons of Nerfbat and Banhammer.
  14. Same here, on Virtue. Loading bar hasn't moved a quarter inch in 10 minutes of waiting while loading into a mission. Cold killed CoH, restarted, tried a different mission, same result. Nice bug, not the message you want to send to returning players.

the 57 month badge makes as much sense as giving a glass of water to a fish.

By 57 months I know I did and would assume most others that 50% off talioring fees considering the different methods to obtain additional costume slots, free costume changes etc won't care about a tailor discount. In fact it's insulting to someone like myself who has played for so long to get such a lame "reward" for playing so long.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I believe that is for new characters. Be insulted, you're clearly in the minority on it.

Because we want them to go to log in on Monday, find out that they can't and resub...

    ...yes, we're evil like that.

What? We never said this was a non-profit organization!

Yeah, but some of us suckers have to work on Monday...
  17. I'm still waiting for them to make the costumes unlockable options at Icon. (Kill X of This Faction to unlock)
  18. Hmmm... guess that counts out trick-or-treating in Dark Astoria... After all, it could end up like this:

    *knocks on door*

    *Adamastor answers*

    "Uh oh..."

    Hide Your Heart

(*sigh* Guess it doesn't pay to put up short stories... doesn't seem like anyone appreciates them.)

    Hide Your Heart

(Just a story idea that hit me like a lightning bolt after hearing a song. "Hide Your Heart" by KISS. Has no in-game relation other than the two factions mentioned.)

Deanna begged and pleaded for them to stop. The two people she cared most in the world about, her boyfriend and her brother, refused to listen to her as they stepped towards the center line in the road, face to face, their eyes burning with absolute hatred for each other. No more words needed to be said between them, none would serve to defuse their animosity now. Her begging fell on deaf ears.

Her brother, Simon, was a former Hellion that served time in the Ziggurat for armed robbery. Having earned a college education while behind bars, he had attempted to clean his image, working as a counselor for kids that were being swayed by gangs. He used his personal experience and prison tattoos to try to convince them. More often than not, he was successful, though he bore no ill will towards those that joined gangs, since he knew their lure was very powerful indeed.

Her boyfriend, Jeremy, was a Skull that reveled in the drug trade in his section of Kings Row. He carved out his own little territory, though he made sure to give part of his take to the Bone Daddy that he worked for. His ruthlessness was known throughout the Refinery area, though some had remarked how it had toned down a bit since Deanna came into his life. He was less prone to drawing a pistol, and even had done a few things in his neighborhood to benefit people.

The conflict arose when Simon made contact with Jeremy's brother, William. William had been leaning towards joining the Skulls alongside his big brother, when Simon arrived to talk him out of it. His intentions were altruistic, but Jeremy was incensed. Simon tampered with his family, and he had to pay. The fact that Simon was a former Hellion only added fuel to the fire. At first, it only came to sharp words, which Simon tried his best to ignore. However, when they started getting laced with vulgar descriptions about what he and Deanna did, that's when Simon finally started to retaliate. Soon, their heated arguments became an almost daily occurrence, occasionally coming to blows.

The final straw came when William rejected the Skulls, and instead went on to star for his freshman football team in Steel Canyon. During a game against Skyway South, several of Simon's former Hellion friends came to watch the game, unaware that an even greater number of Skulls were also in attendance. A discussion turned into a fight between the sides, and several guns were drawn and fired. In the confusion, a single shot strayed onto the playing field, striking William and killing him instantly.

Jeremy was livid, claiming that the Hellions killed him in retaliation for being his brother. Simon was equally incensed, stating that the Skulls wanted to send a message to him. Whatever the reason, the line had been drawn, and a Blood Oath had been declared. There was only one way to settle their dispute now, and Deanna was trapped in the middle of it. For seven days, she begged and pleaded with both of them, to try and get them to listen to reason. Her tears had no effect, so focused were they on ending their feud. Even pleading with the parents of both sides had no effect.

So it was down to their showdown. Backs to each other, they called out ten paces, then turned. The gulf between the two foes could have been infinite, yet their blazing gazes would have found each other. An Outcast by the name of Miguel that agreed to be a neutral party called out.

One. Deanna called out again for them to stop this. She got down on her knees, crying harder than she ever had in her life. Her face was streaked with countless tears, and her mouth was dry, yet they kept falling freely.

Two. She tilted her head skyward, begging for some divine presence to stop it. Her tear-filled eyes looked up to the clouds that teased Paragon City, but never dropped rain. The water she had cried could have made up for it, as she screamed to the heavens for it to stop.

    Three.

    Two guns were drawn.

    One final scream was heard.

    Two shots were fired.

In the silence afterwards, only one person could be heard crying.

  21. I don't like it. It's inevitable that someone will use it to accuse someone of being a spammer just because they don't like that person. Then, CS is going to have to waste the time to verify it, find out that it's not true, then the reporter gets away scot-free.

No, ignoring spammers isn't the solution. Getting rid of them at the source is.
  22. LR: What is with you people? Can't you see I'm in the middle of an interdimensional crisis here? My peanut butter is missing!

I agree. I am not a huge fan of PVP but I love RP. I'm one of those freaks whose guilty of making a story for a character then building the character around that story instead of the other way around.

    Guilty as charged.

Seriously, though, I'm up for it. Global is @StevieK, drop me a line.
