  1. Yum.

    Lynx is gonna love this.

  2. That's a really sweet and wonderful piece.

And to think, she was just messing around... wow.

Take the game as it comes and instead of complaining about what you don't have enjoy what you do.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You know what I do when I'm REALLY pissed off about the crappy performance, the bugs, the constant whining of crashes (that I never see,) the inability to exit buildings, the random 50% drops in performance exiting missions when teamed, the incompatibilities with ATI's drivers, the base kick bug, the COMPLETE lack of communication from Cryptic regarding all of the above, etc, etc, etc?

I log in, turn on hide and ghide, turn off showfps and netgraph, and solo my scrappers and brutes.

The cause of my stress is also my escape from said stress.

    Now THAT'S ironic.

If it wasn't a fun and engaging game, none of us would be playing it.

Yeah, it needs work. It's not up to WoW's quality standards.

    But it's a fun game.

Which is probably why we're all so passionate about it. States included.
  4. OOOH!

    I LIKES.

You have this lovely 50's comics style, which goes well with the golden-age heroes in the drawings.

*wonders if Spectre would consider a Boris Vallejo-ish 'Savage Land' version of Soul Train at some point*
  5. OWWW.

(( Posts like that definitely reveal the G.I.R.L.'s... ))

    Zayra Final.

i think it's really nice, man. as I commented on dA, the expression of her face is sweet. Very coy.

Might get more of a response from the Fan Art section.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wait, this isn't the Fan Art section??

    Oh, SNAP!!

Seriously, I'd keep an eye out for the 'Draw people for free' threads. There's a few of them, one of which is most awesome (Celtic_Bolt). Just... don't expect to have it DONE for awhile, his waiting list is quite long.

and for my way out of left field pick...

    Inspirations

Not that I'm an artist by any stretch...

But I'd have to toss out Boris Vallejo and Hajime Soriyama as two of the artists that I've ALWAYS thought were the top of the game.

Oh yeah. Vargas. Can't leave out Vargas.
  10. Soul Train

    Dang it all.

*cough* Dreamweaver version 3 or later *cough*
  11. Unfortunately quite a few have... or have left for greener, newer pastures for other reasons.

As much as I dislike the bugs (hello, invisible objects... I'm in mortal fear of being AS'd by a cobbled-together generator on a Freak map, here.) I still play this game pretty much every DAY since I bought it... and thatw as 18 months ago.

    Yes.

    Every. DAY.

At my worst EQ moments it was once every three or four days. WoW, I jumped into it for a few hours a day over the course of a week or two, then backed off.

So, yeah, as much as I like to moan, whine, [censored], and complain... I'd REALLY have a lot to complain about if this game were to, I dunno, go away.

Kind of how I keep my sense of perspective, there.

  12. Planet P - "King for a Day"

    And I'm surprised this isn't on everyone's "I just hit 50" list.

Make me a rendevous, and keep me alive,
Point me away from you, and hope I arrive,
Put up a monument, remember my name,
Will you shine up my memory, when it's all that remains?

    [chorus]
Build me a castle and throw a parade,
Put my name in stone so the words won't fade,
Start a religion and name it for me,
Build me a city and give me the key,

    I'm King for a Day,
    I can do no wrong,
    I'm King for a Day,
'Til the next one comes along,

Heroes are wonderful... I'm forced to admit,
But out here past the Sun, That doesn't help me a bit,
When you wake up tomorrow, I'll be light years away,
But you'll find some other hero to be King for a day.

    [chorus]
Build me a castle, and throw a parade...

  13. This is a really good piece Alex. It's a showcase for your talent, even better than the one you did for the 'Three Friends'.

  14. What got me were the signs posted along US-50 in Nevada, out of Ely about 20 miles east.

We are talking middle of NOWHERE.

And you run across these signs saying "State Prison - Do Not Pick Up Hitchhikers"

I'm looking around, thinking, what prison? Is it underground?

And about a half-mile later, there's a gravel road headed off of the main highway, says Nevada State Penal Facility yada-yada-yada. Again, no prison, just the road that leads you there.

I talked to a waitress in this diner at the next gas station (60 miles east, at the Utah border). She says yeah, that road's a good 40 miles southeast before you get to the prison itself. But because US-50's the only paved road that's even CLOSE, they put the signs up at the junction. Go figure.
  15. Soul Train

    Dang it all.

So far Imageshack hasn't got on my case for anything posted.

Although *cough* some of the images do show a bit more than is what's allowed on over-the-air TV....
  16. S'alright, most know I'm a guy too. *grin*

As for Supes.... wow. That's REALLY good.

Mind passing the shortcut along? Cos' I'd really like to try inking some sketches in GIMP (the poor man's Photoshop) and perhaps trying to get the basics of coloring down as well.
  17. I think what he means is, why is the sign AND THE CAR in the prison yard?

Did someone see the sign and decide not to stop before plowing thru the fence?

  18. Actually I didn't. Not that it makes much diff really. Talent is talent.

But I apologize for any *ahem* gender mis-assignments LJ.

DaosX is pretty intense. And he skirts the edge of what DA will allow.

Thanks! Am I really, though? Oh god...the mods are gonna coming after me REALLY soon then...

    <.< >.>

    *runs and hides*

    LOL

No worries, man. As I said, your work is some of the best I've seen anywhere.
  20. That's an understatement, TA. And LJ's work is REALLY nice. *makes a note to pay particular attenton to HIS deviations when they get flagged by DeviantArt*

But I gotta give kudos to Sexy Jay, because the Samurai Armor has got a LOT of detail in it that you don't notice on the first pass. It definitely deserves to be a Vet Reward.
  21. Hey good to see you back!!

And as always, your stuff rocks. Massacre Melanie looks (pardon the 80's term) "bitchin'!!"
  22. Whooooah! That is intense! Gratz Brandon!!
