Commission request

Hey yall. I don't have the time/energy to learn how to draw, so I'm seeking out another commission.

I've loved the work I've gotten so far (Thanks to Celtic_Bolt, Brandon McKinney and Starchasm) but there's one piece that's been stuck in my head that I need done before closing this particular chapter:

What I see is Bill on top of a mound of CoT bodies inside of Oranbega, with the body of Lilutu sliding off his arm as he had just impaled her with his talons, right through the abdominal wall, severing the spine.

Yea, it's gotta be that graphic. Lots of blood, lots of gore, the entire image needs to scream madness and chaos.

Any takers? Ideas on who I should pursue?

Deviantart.com has a lot of artists out there. You could try looking there. That pic sounds wonderful! Good luck!

Wow... vexiphne's digital art is rather striking... but not crazed. I need crazed.

Graver might just be crazy enough for ya. But there's a long wait...

You could try Jtran218 over on DA.

He did a really amazing line art of Synergy for me and one of his featured pictures, involving Rowr, is similair to the type you're looking for.

I think his COH forum name is DaosX as well.

Anyway you should check out his work.

DaosX is pretty intense. And he skirts the edge of what DA will allow.

That said, he's also one of the best 'airbrush' style illustrators on DA. I love his work.

Ya, unfortunately, it i a bit of a wait for my work (I really am trying to speed up... the world just won't let me!)... but if you don't mind the wait... I do sooooo love doing piles of dead and mangled bodies... and blood... oh how I love things that splatter and sputter! And after all the dead CoT I've done... I think I'm getting pretty decant at it

That and the imagery you have here is some powerful stuff... something I'd love to sink my teeth into... it brings back blissful memories of the Heaven and Hell piece I did a few months back.

Good luck in getting that piece done... it sounds like it will be a great one!

Graver, I have long loved your work, and you were one of the ones I thought of first, specifically because of your Heaven and Hell piece, so you're definitely in the running.

My only criticism of your work at all has been the colors. While gorgeous, I'm concerned they wouldn't be "in my face" enough, if that makes any sense.

Jtran218's stuff also jumped out at me when I was using Rowr's page for a artist hunt last month. His Rowr "Queen of the Mountain" piece fits the bill mostly, but is lacking Graver's ability to capture madness.

Wish I had 1/10th of yall's talent, and I'd give it a go myself.

ah, don't worry about it... and I totally understand where your coming from. I do work with a very subdued palate (I have a weird kind of weakness for sepia toned photos, old and faded things, etc ). However, my palate seems to get a touch more colorful with each piece... maybe by the time I got to you I'd only have to make a moderate effort to make the colors a bit bolder then I normally would and you'd have the "in-yer-face" colors you want. Of course, I could also do the line work and Jtran or someone else could apply the emboldened color's to it... getting chocolate in your peanut-butter is not always a bad thing

just a thought

Edit: and since color was brought up, it got me thinking about my work and what would happen if I just tweaked the paintings digitally to add a punch to the color. Here's the results on two of them
Tweak 01
Tweak 02

I never tweaked any of them before 'cause it just felt dishonest... not an accurate representation of what the painting looks like in real life.

Just more food for thought. I'm gonna go now... gotta stop thinking about colors... gotta stop thinking about colors.. gotta stop being so obsessed...

I just want to echo this... when the heck did you do Rowr's pic? I checked you DA page and it wasn't there. It's definitely one of my favorites of yours! I'm a sucker for those intense battle pieces you do...

Oh, and BillZ, if/when you get your piece done, be sure to share it here. You described some pretty strong imagery, and I'd love to see it done.

Yeah, from your description I would have said Graver would be perfect.

I'd volunteer, but I thk my style suits glossy characters more.

The tweaks are really nice, Graver... but now you got me thinking...

A Graver pencils w/ JTran inks and colors would be.... pretty much dead on in my head...

Would yall be up for that?

Hmm...a collab with Graver? Sounds tricky (with such different styles)...but definitely wouldn't miss the opportunity.

And collectively, anyone who's ever looked at the Arts section holds their breath in anticipation.

Yes, I want to see this and I don't think I'm alone in that.

Once we get a buy in from Graver, I'll take it to PMs and we can work on the specifics.

*fishes around in his pockets and pulls out a kyt to a broken scooter, 3 pennies, and a cough-drop wrapper*

So... um... is this enough for a buy in?

I wouldn't have suggested it if I wasn't down with it ;p

And, ya, forgot i hadn't posted Rowr yet... it's been a long couple of weeks

That will be rectified in the next few minutes

Ok... guess I know where part of my income tax return is goin....

Graver and DaosX, PMs will be coming after I get some screenies, story and ducks in a row.

Thanks to everyone.
