  2. Run and never look back. Dark is pretty much the worst secondary for brutes. Die often, (losing fury), weak mezzes (I hear this decreases fury), and weak resistances. Dark has nothing going for it that makes it better than the other sets.

    Someone please tell me this game isn't going to implode? Redname? Is this a "access to everything" side switch, or a "pseudo-side switch"?

  4. Yes I was just using villains as an example. I still think villainside will become even more empty. Even if it's not as bad as I think it will be, I still really hope this is a temporary side switch or a zone only kind of thing, rather than combining so much of what was so unique.
  5. If people can switch sides...and we see Masterminds and brutes running atlas park...It will be bad.

    1.) Every server with low villain population will lose even more because people will move to heroside because of the bigger population, making villainside even more deselate.

    4.) Some archtypes should not be in the same world. Tankers vs brute? Tankers would become nigh useless vs a good brute.

    What about SG's? How about PVP?

    Villains who are level 50 switch to heroside and have no idea what they are doing? That doesn't sound good.

    I really hope this "side switching" is a zone only thing or a temporary thing...Cause I'd really hate to take away the diversity in this game. Plus, the only reason some people play villains is because of the cooler AT's.

  7. Yup. Patron powers are effected by damage buffs and debuffs. Example: Use ball lightning after rage crash...you see ticks of 1's. Use ball lightning at 300 percent damage boost...see ticks of 16's and 24's.

    You farm with this? I'm thinking about rerolling my ss/shield as elec/shield because rage crashes is not my style.
  9. Signed 200 percent. Travel Suppression is the part I hate about pvp. I can stand ALL the rest of the changes... but TS is pointless unless ONLY melee attacks activate suppression.

  14. I put it in my footstomp...It usually goes off once per mob (one mob consists of 1-2 footstomps).

    It appears that it is per enemy, not per activation.
  15. Soo...I can slot it in shield charge and footstomp to get to the recharge cap for 5 seconds? (assuming it hits enough people)

    PVP Builds

    For melee your best bet is a stalker. If your pvping with a stalker, make sure and get Stealth IO and Stealth from Concealment pool. If you go stalker I would highly recomend Willpower, Regeneration, or Ninjitsu. Any primary will be good, but you might want to stay away from Duel Blades.

    I cant comment on Corruptors, I know pretty much nothing on them.

  18. I don't know where the info is, but i13 did a HUGE rehaul on the pvp system. There was quite a stir from this change...

    Everyone gets mezzed, only offensive toggles drop. Maybe someone can direct you to all the i13 pvp changes.
  19. I'm pretty sure I've been surpressed even when an attack missed me. Might check this tonite.
  20. Willpower has almost same regen, no dullpain. Willpower has crashless nuke that will net you about 50 S/L. Willpower has more resistance and def but willpower has another heal and MoG. Willpower has Perception and Repel resist.

    I like Willpower for the perception.

    Once again, claws is not good compared to other pvp sets. Particularly because of buildup. Most pvp, some would way *real pvp*, follow up is VERY unefficient because it's nigh impossible to stack it on anyone with skill. Buildup is key to getting kills in the common pvp situations.

    He said Claws sounds good to him, unless someone has a better choice. I do. Anything that is not dark melee or claws, once again because of buildup.

    I s'pose this just an opinion, but I'd be safe to say I'm not the only one who feels the same way...

    Seems like your view is kind of biased. Its obvious claws it not the best pvp set and there ARE sets that are much better especially for a new pvp'r. I'm not saying your claws scrapper is bad in any way, I'm just saying there are better choices for him, IMO.

  24. Claws is no good, neither is dark melee. No buildup.

    Regen is one of the best secondaries for scraps, IMO. Can't go wrong with heals.

    SR is pure defense. Defense sucks. SR is pure suckiness.

    Regen scrappers arent that hard, all you gotta do is keep beating them until they run out of heals. And stay out of melee. Unless your in melee to use Power Thrust
