Dark/EM tank build
Are you set on DA/EM? Because that's really not a good combination.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
Well, it's what I've been PLing the last few days ... Figured with the stun/fear/stealth detection, and high dmg it would be good. Guess it doesn't need to be.
Problem is Dark Armor relies on offensive toggles for its mitigation, and those will get dropped. It also relies on a PBAoE heal which requires a tohit check. Energy Melee has good damage but lacks any sort of ranged attacks, which are almost a must in PvP.

Thanks, I went with Ice/SS Tank... thankfully it only took me a few hours to get to 40, so shouldn't be a problem changing builds.
When you say offensive toggles will drop, does it occur oftem now that tanks get mezzed? I pvp'd pre-I13, and I'm trying to get back into it. I never saw a tank get mezzed back then.
I don't know where the info is, but i13 did a HUGE rehaul on the pvp system. There was quite a stir from this change...
Everyone gets mezzed, only offensive toggles drop. Maybe someone can direct you to all the i13 pvp changes.

Paragon Wiki just states that they're were pvp changes, but doesn't go into detail.

There's no mez protection, only mez resistance. So when you get hit by a mez (which will happen on a non-defense-based build) your offensive toggles (Cloak of Fear, Oppressive Gloom, Death Shroud, in your case) will detoggle and you'll be un-held a second or two later. And by the time you toggle them back on, you'll be mezzed again.
In the case of Ice Armor I think only Icicles and Chilling Embrace get detoggled.

Hey all,
I just made a tank to mainly PVP, and was wondering if someone could critique my build. I didn't pick a lvl 47 or 50 power, because I don't know what I should put there. I used all the slots though, so unless I move them around, whatever powers they are, I won't have any slots for them. I'm trying to keep an inexpensive IO build for the toon (no purples).
