    Well there's Dark Consumption in Soul Mastery too. I wasn't including Death Shroud as a PBAoE. Then there's Dark Obliteration... But none of those are in Dark Assault anyway, so every other Assault set benefits just as well.

    I took a Mind/Dark up to level 10 today on Beta and I've found that it actually defeats things quite quickly and safely.

    Midnight Grasp is melee. Pair it with Soul Mastery and you have two PBAoEs alongside Heart of Darkness from Dark Control.
  4. It should be bigger and the wolf model should be more transparent so it looks more like a blob of shadow than a ghostly wolf. Throw in some glowing eyes and it's set.
  5. Well, if Dark/Dark was meant to be the special bone that the Devs were throwing to us then it's been completely overshadowed by that Mastermind set that was leaked.

    Well Dark Consumption is in Soul Mastery so it won't be repeated. I also hope Moonbeam isn't in. Out of those multiple choices I'd say Shadow Maul and Night Fall but I suspect Death Shroud will be one of the powers.

    I think the only thing we know for certain is that it has Gather Shadows (which is a self-buff that does +Dmg and +Special, like a combination of Build Up and Power Boost) and Life Drain.
  9. What I would do with Dimension Shift:

    1) Give it -KB. This would mean you can safely plant things inside.

    2) Allow allies to phase when they enter it. This makes it so characters who can handle aggro can still fight whilst the Gravity Controller/Dominator is safe for a bit.

    3) Change the FX to make it more noticeable.

    Other than that - I like these changes! Thank you Arbiter Hawk.
  10. Could this be why my Gravity/Earth Dominator is having such disappointing results with the lack of rubble being formed from his attacks?

  14. Perma-Hasten is different to Perma-Dom because you can slot it with recharge enhancements. That 205% needed is actually 110% because of the three recharge IOs.

    So yes, you are perma-Hasten. Which is good to know because I also have a Gravity/Earth.
  15. Dark/Dark Dominators will probably be beastly because of the control, the Build Up/Power Boost fusion, the self-heal and the to-hit debuffs. I don't really know much about Dark Affinity but it has potential.

  17. The way I see it, Dominator APPs are some of the most useful for several reasons:

    1) Fast recharging AoE attack
    2) Defensive power
    3) Debuff power
    4) Utility power
    5) Self healing power

    Basically, it makes Dominators even more self-sufficient.

  19. Well by exempting the Control powers from survivability then they'll end up being more fragile than Blasters because they do a bit less damage. Taking into account everything, I'd say that they are about equal with Controllers; whilst Controllers can mez and debuff they often can't deal enough damage quick enough to survive prolonged fights, whereas Dominators can do damage to defeat things quickly, however hard Control powers have relatively short durations compared to debuffs so you have to kill quickly or be killed yourself, just like Blasters.

    I'm not enthused about these changes. It's tantamount to looking at Ninja Summoning and making the blasts better, or looking at Trick Arrow and giving it some minor damage.

    I.e.: It doesn't need it. If anyone takes Gravity just to do damage then They're Doing It Wrong.

    Telekinesis is probably the most skippable power, followed by Total Domination. I can see the combo having some synergy but you lack a pet to take advantage of the buffs. The lack of pets will also make melee more difficult if you plan on using Time's Juncture but you could eventually build for Defence to get around that. As for boosting effectiveness against Psionic resistant enemies - don't get Mental Mastery as an APP, until then make sure to use Levitate because it doesn't use Psionic damage.

  23. It's the best MMO I've played simply because they got me to subscribe. Other than that I can't be a superhero/villain in real life so I use this to do that.
  24. I am disappointed.

    Instead of Impact I would have preferred a gimmick that would basically do splash control. We have splash debuffs on Poison, another heavily single target set, so why not with control? If you're creating localised fields of anti-gravity or increased gravity then it makes sense that things in the extreme vicinity would also be affected.

    For example, you use Gravity Distortion and anything within 5 to 10 feet get hit by a weaker magnitude Hold for a few seconds. Same for Lift and Crush, and possibly the AoEs. There would be a clarifier that means a single target can only be affected by the splash once. For balance purposes, those affected by the splash controls should not take the same amount of damage as the initial target, so either half the damage or no damage at all depending on the magnitude of the splash control.

    This would make Singularity a lot better, the controls overall a lot better, and would give Wormhole's teleport a use because it would allow for targets to be bunched up in tight groups so they can be easily affected the splash controls.
