Unless the zone is a villain zone for a hero group or a hero zone for a villain group. You can get the beacon badges, but not place the beacons for those zones.

Quote:Here are some questions:This has happened once before, but it somehow fixed itself later, but this time, I'm not so sure.
I just hit 30, so I trained and then went to Atlas to see the City Rep about Auras. She tells me it's her policy not to overburden heroes, and tells me I already have too much to do. (You know the spiel, insert "max number of missions text" here) The problem is, I currently have NO MISSIONS in my list. So no Aura mission for me. I go to Talos, grab a radio mision and come back, thinking she's got to see I only have one mission now. Nope, no deal. I tried logging out and rebooting, when I came back, same deal, "You already have too much to do, yadda yadda".
Has anyone else had this problem? What do I gotta do to get her to see my mission list is NOT full?
Are you a Hero, Vigilante, or Rogue?
Did you start as a Hero, Villain, or Praetorian?
While in Atlas Park, what contacts are active that are not in Atlas Park? -
I've been getting this for the last few weeks:

Note that the updater connects fine and I can play the game fine with it. This same error also takes the place of the EULA on the next screen as well.
As I'm not in control of the HTML in question, I'm pretty sure I can't change the characters used for these pages.
It looks like the updater/EULA pages are being directed at the "bad post" page of the forums.
Edit:
Yes, I know that it should be going to here: http://www.cityofheroes.com/updater/live.html -
They are regular reward merits, but yes.

Quote:You went back and parked in a red side zone, huh?I thought it would be interesting to have a mastermind on the blue side as this is the only type AT like no other there. But when I get to the blue side I see the disadvantages right off. In order to get an arc contact I did 5 radio missions and got offered to protect a bank. It was late and I went to sleep. The next day I see that my bank mission is GONE! So I have top repeat all 5 radio missions again?
Plus when I look for a team all I see is the red side zones in the search. I know that if I do 10 more tips I can become a hero, but my villain base access will go away right?
If you leave the blue side zones on a rogue all your missions get abandoned. This includes any radio/safeguard missions. The same applies to vigilantes and paper/mayhem missions.
You have been ignoring the pop up warnings that happen when you go from the blue to red zones (or reverse)?
A rogue cannot do any hero contacts (other than radio/safeguard) of their own.
A vigilante cannot do any villain contacts (other than paper/mayhem) on their own. -
Quote:Just doing 10 of any type of these gains experience, alignment credit, and inf. What do you lose or gain as a rogue doing 10 rogue tip missions?
What do you lose or gain as a vigilante doing vigilante 10 tip missions?
What do you lose or gain as a villain doing 10 villain tip missions?
What do you lose or gain as a hero doing 10 hero tip missions?
If you do a morality mission, then:
I think that answers the question.Quote:Hero -> Hero 50 merits first time, 1 hero merit each time after
Hero -> Vigilante no merits
Vigilante -> Vigilante 30 merits first time, 60 merits each time after
Vigilante -> Villain no merits
Villain -> Villain 50 merits first time, 1 villain merit each time after
Villain -> Rogue no merits
Rogue -> Rogue 30 merits first time, 60 merits each time after
Rogue -> Hero no merits
If you change from Hero you lose hero merits. If you change from Villain you lose villain merits.
What? Nothing of the sort happens. However if you do a morality mission, then all your alignment meters get reset. -

There should be a lot of runs on the redside as well. In fact it tends to be a bit easier as there are more debuffs with "villain" ATs. You also don't have to be a part of the group to participate, only the team leaders.

Quote:Castle told us in the last weeks of beta that Aspect's shield WAS an Only Affecting Self, but at the time they could not reproduce the bug internally. I'll have to assume that they have enough evidence now that it is attacking through the shields, because several players (including myself) have reported it. I've even made a demorecord showing it happening. The only objection to the Aspect being able to attack while bubbled that I can get behind is that it's unfair or that it's a bug (if the shield is really meant to give him the Only Affecting Self flag).
Any time a game critter breaks the rules that players have to live by (players can't shoot through personal force fields), the situation needs to be looked at and corrected. -
Quote:I've been on runs that can't get the shield down due to being attack by a shielded aspect. As for them attacking while bubbled, I honestly don't see the big deal. Yes, it's unfair I guess, maybe even a bug but so? If you're having difficulties because the Aspect can attack while bubbled, you're gonna have the exact same difficulties when the shield is down.

Ok, successful run!
Lessons learned:
- If we stack enough debuffs and are quick enough we can eat at the AV's health without nukes (providing not the storm AV).
- Firm commitments needed for this. During the last minute scramble a few players were left out.
- Players should have nukes before the start.
- I really shouldn't lead these.
- The base needs to be fairly simple for players to quickly use the hospital & get back.
- Multiple accounts both here and in game confuses the team leader as I was saving spots for players already on the team.
- Some players were confused with the "no stinky heroes allowed"
rule for villain bases.
-
We need debuff.
-
-
The stone brute would be wonderful. We need more damage, a few more debuffers, and a couple heals.

Quote:Yes, the ones in a Hero's Hero count still.I have done both flashback Praetorian War and new revamped arc of Maria.
After defeating Anti-matter, I only got 2 Praetorian AV left:
Siege, and the other one I guess is Nightstar, the one from the old arc.
Then, were I can defeat them to get the accolade? A Hero's hero? -
Quote:Neither Siege or Nightstar are in either of Tina Macintyre's story arcs.If you want the badge before we get the fix out, try running Tina Macintyre's "The Praetorian War" StoryArc, that seems to be the one you didn't go back and re-do.
Tina has one stand alone Anti-Matter mission.
Tina's Praetorian War arc has:
Anti-Matter x2 (only one counts for Dimensional Warder)
Bobcat
Nueron
Shadowhunter ( doesn't count for Dimensional Warder)
Maria Jenkin's Hero's Hero arc has:
Shadowhunter (doesn't count for Dimensional Warder)
Battle Maiden
Black Swan
Bobcat
Chimera
Diabolique
Dominiatrix
Infernal
Malaise
Marauder
Nightstar
Nueron
Siege
Tyrant (doesn't count for Dimensional Warder but has Statesman's Pal badge)
Maria Jenkin's Hero's Epic arc has:
Battle Maiden
Black Swan
Bobcat
Chimera
Diabolique
Dominiatrix
Infernal
Malaise
Marauder
Nightstar (doesn't count for Dimensional Warder either in the arc or stand alone)
Nueron
I haven't tested the availability of Statesman's Pal with the new arc. -
Well, we have 15 confirmed/maybes, and 9 slots to fill. I'll check back later. I'll fill the teams from here first, and I guess we'll need to fill the ranks from the globals to do this.

Quote:Yes.Should I bug that then? Cause that badge has reset and now says only 1, when I clearly have made 3 choices?
Edit:
When the badge was introduced, we were told that it was for any 5 moral choices. I suspect that one of the moral choices is resetting the count. What was the last moral choice you have done before the reset? -
Quote:-> Lag/CPU busy/GPU busy. <-I was wondering if anyone knew the reason why it occasionally worked.
What is happening is that cloaking device is actually starting after the smoke bomb in all cases. The text isn't a power/emote & fires off at the same time. Apparently 1 out of 10 times the game cycle shows you the two (smoke bomb & cloaking) at the same time, but it is still doing smoke bomb then cloaking. -
I don't think so as he isn't an Outcast in those missions.
-
There isn't a command to delete recipes.

Quote:There is no "5 in a row" badge. The badge is for any 5 moral choices.Cool thanks, this has been most useful. Got to resistence and working on the 5 in a row badge.
You could go L-R-R-R-L or L-L-L-L-L or R-R-R-R-R or R-L-R-L-R. The only thing that will not work is U-U-D-D-L-R-L-R-A-B. -
I'm shocked! A GM that actually knows the exact problem and they expressed the problem properly. A lot of times it requires patient explaining to the GMs what is happening with a badge.
That is exactly what is happening. -
Quote:That reminds me we need to find out if there is a Peacebringer or Warshade (or other AT) authbit. All the authbits we know about are listed in the OP.
The game file has a section for costume changes, but it's not enabled and it doesn't include the Vigil cc emote. See here for a cleaned up version of the current game file.
Based on the Snowflake unlock, try SigilEmoteBadge or VanguardSigilEmoteBadge.
