I thought it didn't affect end drain, which is why it's so powerful now compared to before.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It effects everything once you go into a PvP zone or arena. Everything from normal SO slotting all the way to set bonuses and accolades.

IMO the reason end drain is so nasty now is because it is the only sure fire way to stop an opponent from attacking. Doms and Trollers used to lock people down with controls but the dont work like that on players anymore but a player with no end cant fight back

I have noticed PB+Power Sink doesn't suck nearly as much end as it used to nor does ED from my SS/EA Brute or Transerence on my Kins. I cant tell you ho wmuch it dropped but it did

    Doesnt effect +hp

    Yes it does

    Hey Ocho

I know of one I do not want to see without pants but I watch family guy and Peter doesnt bother me too much so maybe him too
  4. I sure didnt notice that myself.

Go with 4 Mako Bite/2Touch of Nictus IOs

Should be able to get max acc/end redux/rech with 90ish% damage and 65-70ish% heal

This thread is making me start to hate myself.

If Michael J Fox put them on his hands would it even out the shaking or send pieces of his fingers flying all around the room?

I play less, but anything scheduled I can usually hop in on. Darque Beast needs a break from the game - and he is very enticing when it comes to doing things other than playing THIS game...

I just threw up a little in my mouth.

That wasnt throw up and if you stop again to type I'm leaving

Gloom cant take a Ranged damage set that gives added typed defense on its 4th set bonus. Thunderstrike maybe I forget but the added typed defense is very nice

    [/ QUOTE ]
Thunderstrike is 2.5% En/Ne at 3, and 1.25% En/Ne at 6. It also provides ~2 SOs (68.9% at 50) worth of Acc, EndRed, and Rech with >3 SOs (101.47% at 50) worth of Damage.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    This^^

    and thanks
  8. Just for kicks I slotted the Stupefy chance for KB into OG and it was one of the funniest things to watch. It was on my Spines/Dark so it looked like sometimes the quills would shoot out and knock things around.

    Not practical but funny
  9. Slot Energy Cloak for a little more defense

Mix and match IOs for Energy Drain(3Performace Shifter/3Numina)/ This will give you +hp sets, end recovery, and heal, although the heal is small reguardless

Gloom cant take a Ranged damage set that gives added typed defense on its 4th set bonus. Thunderstrike maybe I forget but the added typed defense is very nice

I dont have Mids at work but it looks pretty good. My SS/EA did not pick tough or weave but managed to cap all defenses except Neg Nrg.

    Hope it helps some
  10. I spent 250 million influence as a fee to swap a billion influence to infamy. Once I got the infamy I added it to my collection and spent 3.3 billion on my SS/WP Brute.

Vego: I also need some sort of theme for you. Are you mentoring something specific?

I can do anything except base stuff.

    I can do:
    PvP
    Making quick influence/infamy
    Slotting help
    Orgamy

This.More and more toons seem to be using fly and snipe lately.
For zone pvp an anti-fly power is becoming a must have.

    [/ QUOTE ]

How much -fly is Impale and does it stack?
  13. Sounds like fun, I want in!!

Just FYI I plan on dressing all slutty so I feel dirty when people bid on me

You're arguing with a forum that collectively has its pants down.

I don't see how you could possibly win. Just drop trou so we can talk about donuts already.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wait a second here. So you mean to tell me I am just supposed to talk about the donut once I got my pants down? Damn I been doing it all wrong.

On an unrelated note, Karl how were the donuts I sent ya?

The reason a lot of people don't pvp is simple...players frilling HATE stalkers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Are you stuck in Issue 6? Stalkers aren't any real danger IF you know how to PvP
  16. [ QUOTE ]
    Maybe because you don't suck.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    QF...LOL..T
  17. [ QUOTE ]
The reason this is important is because I'm 90% sure that achilles heel procs can't stack from the same caster.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sleet is a different caster so the Achilles slotte din it can and will stack with the one slotted in Infrigidate and has the possibility, although very unlikely, to stack with a another proc from a second casting of Sleet

I know from farming myself in PvP that this is the case and keeping one proc up perma is very easy since Infrigidate can be spammed so quickly. I do realize that would slow down DPS, just saying
  18. I guess I need to do some build planning and see if I can come up with a build that has enough chance for heal procs and +regen to whipe out an AV without having to fit in aidself.

With an extropic chaos chance for heal in both T1 & T2 blast, a decent amount of +regen and added hp it might be possible.

With an achilles proc in Sleet and Infrigidate being able to stack, perma Sleet's normal debuff and spamming Sonic attacks, the amount of -resistance is crazy high with a Cold/Sonic

    Sleet = 30%(+20% from Proc)
    Infrigidate = +20% from proc
Stacked Sonic = 60% and up
    Heatloss = 30%

You should be able to peak at around 160% -resistance but keep a consistant 110% assuming perma Sleet, 1 proc and Sonic blast

Add in assualt and some damage sets and the DPS starts to climb pretty quickly .

Looks like I know what my other build for my Cold/Sonic will be used for
  19. [ QUOTE ]
be sure to watch if they cast invincible before they attack you as that is a tohit buff

    [/ QUOTE ]

This can make a huge difference too.

Unlucky streaks just happen. During a mission the other day fighting council I ran into a LT class Wolf who managed to hit me 3 out of his 4 attempts all due to his tohit rolls.

As far as your herding ITF mobs I am leaning to believe you were running the mission fighting +2s or higher. I farmed the walls around Cim pretty often when I get bored and have gone to the restroom in the middle of a full spawn of even level mobs to come back at just above half health but been in the middle of a mob of +2s with 1 boss who hit me hard enough to almost equal the damage all the other even levels managed to accomplish in several minutes.

My recommendation is about what others have said and I believe you may have answered and dismissed the idea. Eat a few oranges. All I carry when playing my highly defense based toons are a few greens and buncha oranged. I know I am going to get hit and besides my DM/SD none of my defense based toons have any real resist outside of just tough or scaling resist which do nothing at full health. Hell I used to run my SS/EA through the ITF pulling lead and using Taunt and /EA has crap DDR when compared to /SR

back to what Mojo said though you need to do more test and pick a mob without tohit buffs before you conclude your defense is broken
  20. I know Rad/Sonic Defenders have downed a good bit of AVs in the solo game especially after the introduction of IOs to boost defenses/rech/etc. Well this weekend I started to look at what makes the Rad/Sonic such a good Defender for the job and I noticed something when I compaired it to Cold Domination.

Besides a self heal and Acc Metabolism, I didnt see anything rad does better. The -tohit portion from Rad Infection is resisted pretty heavily and since you can build for softcapped range defense with IOs that portion of Rad Infection isnt really needed anyways. So the main power that stands out is just the heal.

    What I mean is this...

Rad gets Enervating Field for -resist (-30% toggle so its perma)
Cold gets Sleet for -resist(-30% long duraion and stackable for more than perma AND slotable with an Achilles proc)
EF also gives -damage but so does Benumb for Cold as well as all kinds of other effects to lower the AVs holds/debuffs/etc which are further dampended when used with PBU
Rad gets Ling Rad which is a very hefty -regen(the -runspeed is mostly useless for AV fights
Once again Cold has Benumb for -regen which can be perma with enough recharge in your build.
Rad Infection is -defense but so its Sleet AND Infrigidate
Add another point for perma end with Heatloss and another spell of -resistance to up the DPS. With my current Cold/Sonic the +recovery of heatloss is down for 10 seconds before its up again.

So besides a self heal and AM, and I do realize thata heal is a huge boon to AV fights, what does Rad/Sonic have over a Cold/Sonic for trying to solo AVs?
  21. Everything gets hit by DR in PvP
  22. Snappin_Turtle

    First solo AV!

    [ QUOTE ]
He only used it once against me, but I only fought him once. Sounds like it's variable. Just keep plugging away. You'll get him.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I remember way back in Issue 2 or 3 on my BS/Regen when IH was a toggle I fought him and he used it a few times. I thuoght that was bad until I fought someones custom AV who had Aid Self. They used it at least 15 times and healed for thousands of HP every damn time. I was fighting it on my SS/EA Brute so anytime I had to use aid aelf, it used aid self. Finally beat it but geez Aid Self on an AV is horrible

    Grats on Infernal!!!

I did this 5 times, with 60 kills each run, which means that i spent around 2 hours and 30 minutes, along with a total of 350 kills, and I got nothing.

LOL sounds like my type of luck.

Literally ALL I do is PvP. I think I've gotten a total of like 2 recipes since they came out
