However, one must keep in mind that even with a dwarf star around, Sol is still the big boy on the block. And I mean big. It's got power. Which means that on the opposite extreme, nothing might happen at all, save us having to write new tide charts on a regular basis.

In either case though, an object that massive entering this system can easily be detected via the gravitational 'warp' it drags around. We'd see orbit shifts in small celestial bodies (asteroids, Ceres, heck, probably Pluto), deviations in solar wind and cosmic particle patterns, etc. So unless Elenin happens to be a dwarf star half composed of exotic matter, we'd have noticed something by now, and it wouldn't be earthquakes.

So, just so that we're clear on this:

You think Scarlett Johansson is dumb because she's young and female? Because... all young females are dumb?

I just want to make sure that we're perfectly clear on your position, here.

Just for my own curiosity's sake - how old does a female have to be before she's no longer young and dumb? Because, clearly, 26 is too young (that being Ms. Johansson's current age).

  16. Ice Armor is fun - I need to play mine a bit more and get him to 50 (he's 45 now.) KM is what I chose, and it works well. -DMG synergy and knockdowns. Yes, I did go Soul mastery for Darkest Night and more -DMG.

Electric Melee would actually work out, synergy-wise. Slot EA for end mod and you should be decently able to sap enemies. Mu mastery to top off, I would think.

Final suggestion would be Stone Melee - the knockdowns will help you and your team survive, and the new crystal texture on Stone can be a nice substitute for ice with the proper coloration.

It's one of the reasons I stopped watching Yahtzee, it seemed like he started to rely less on jokes and more on lengthy author tracts about how terrible and awful the games industry is.

Now if you want to see an example of a reviewer who can be humorous AND optimistic, check out Vangelus. He's one of the few people out there who reviews toys in a semi-professional fashion, and is really funny about it too.

Only if you're worried about getting every single damage tick out of Burn. The initial hit on Burn under similar conditions (95% damage enhancement, no build-up, AAO or FE) is 25 points of damage less than Shield Charge. It has a smaller radius and doesn't do any knock-down, but it does recharge much faster.

You really don't have to stay static to use Burn effectively.

And, on Electric Melee, Burn outdamages every attack except Lightning Rod on the initial hit alone.

I find that Shields tends to reward less mobility as opposed to more, because of AAO. You want to have as many mobs around you as possible to buff your damage before using Shield Charge, which really makes the movement portion of the attack rather less useful than it otherwise would be.

For offense, the choice between SD and Fire comes to preference: Would you rather jump into the mob, hit BU, LR and SC, or would you rather hit FE, BU, then LR into the mob and drop Burn? Follow with Chain Induction and Thunder Strike to taste. (Still, under no circumstances do you "drop the patch and pull enemies onto it." That hasn't been the case since Fire Armor got its reworking.)

Fire does pull significantly ahead if you are going to team with a Kin all the time, as FE can benefit from Fulcrum Shift.

If you're trying to do this, you're doing it wrong.

Most of Burn's damage is up front, now. If an enemy is not in the patch when you drop it, they don't take that damage.

Also, SC vs. Burn is not the important question when it comes to SD vs. FA - it's Fiery Embrace vs. Against All Odds.

Xavier saying things like "they'll never accept you that way" and "we got to hide" and things like that are signs of a weak and overall negative outlook on the situation and this is antithetical to Xavier's character who is a loud and proud mutant who wants the X-Men in the spotlight to show what good mutants are doing. Xavier is the complete opposite of what a "visibility" movement leader should be in this film and they don't have him showing signs of changing either.

Emma Frost's scenes all played to what I know about her character (though the whole squeezing a lady wrapped in diamonds to get her to change back is kinda dumb I dunno exactly how her powers work, but that is still dumb). I have a feeling though that this was more due to the actress than the writer... I mean her main scenes were walking into a place in underwear and giving a psychic lapdance...

In fact, thinking back on it, the Female characters were all pretty silent and almost always half naked or completely naked, so getting Emma Frost accurate to the point the movie did is no large feet considering she doesn't have to talk be clothed for most of it.

And now that I think about the movie really gave off an anti-feminist vibe with all the nakedness, lack of females talking, the talking of not accepting based on looks, angel saying the way she didn't like the way the guards looked at her... it seems to me that the entire movie centered around how they should look or want to look rather than this issue that they're dangerous to themselves and others and either that new paradigm has to be accepted or curtailed... even the main villain with all his power ultimately was relying on nuclear missiles which doesn't show how dangerous he and mutants are but rather how dangerous mankind is to itself.

Like I said, badly written and the more I think on it the worse I tend to view it.
Have not seen the film. I do have something for you, Durakken, though. It's a test for how well a film portrays female characters. I forget what the test is called, but it has a name out there somewhere.

Anyhow: The Test for Female Characterization
    1. Is there more than one major female character in the film?
    2. If so, do those female characters ever talk to each other?
    3. If so, do those female characters talk to each other about subjects other than men?

Gotta hit all three points to pass the test. Not many blockbuster movies do.
