If someone finds an exploit that allows them to kill something easily, they will be unable to level their characters to 50 in an hour no matter what. In the worst possible case it will be directly comparable to players doorsitting in regular missions while other players PL them.

The caps would be determined by datamining the XP/Inf you'd get on the same map if you were running regular content. Something like this was probably already done for tickets.

The ticket and XP/Inf limit should be displayed for each mission when you're selecting the arc. Players could then decide whether the arc is worth their time, or select their level of difficulty accordingly.

The caps could be waived for Dev's Choice missions and for a new category of arcs that are deemed "exploit free."

    I like this idea...

I wouldn't use MA much at all if they killed XP. I still run some missions with my 50's in MA to check out arcs that sound interesting but no way would I use a sub-50 in MA if there was no XP.

You should probably create another thread to have your arc reviewed as opposed to hijacking a thread from someone who is seriously interested in arc feedback.

However, I did the first mission (Hot Fist Action - had to see what that was about) in order to "critique mah ARC plox". It's a farm and not a very good one. I would assume the devs will delete it soon.
  6. I am pretty sure I read somewhere that the Devs have already stated that DP will not be a Scrapper / Brute powers. I would love to see it as well, just don't see it happening.

    MA/Shield toon

I also wanted to mention that you could swap out fly and hover for combat jumping and super jump or replace hover with Maneuvers.

I will probably end up replacing Hover with Maneuvers once the BoTZ nerf hits. I no longer use Combat Jumping because I have Ninja Run. If I could toggle both CJ and NR on at the same time I would definitely use CJ.

    MA/Shield toon

Here is the build I plan on using. It has the Gladiator Proc, so just remove it. Even without it is still close to soft cap, although the coming nerf to BoTz will make it slightly under for ranged and AoE.

I have to agree. I only played the first mission, but I think the arc can be much improved by cleaning up the spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I would also suggest changing the names of some of the bad guys.

    Here are some examples:

Possessed Co Worker - What makes this guy a Co Worker as opposed to just a Possessed Worker?
Receptionist - This company seems to have a lot of receptionists. I just didn't like the name and thought something better could be used
Level 5 Possession - I just didn't like the name and thought something better could be used.

Villain Description: The same description was used for most of the villains in the first mission. I would generally suggest developing an individual description for each villain. Here is the description:

"The Satanic Servant's are people who worshiped Lucifer in satanic ritual. They are most suseptiable to possession and perfect host's for the demon's."

There is no need for an apostrophe in Servants or demons. There should be 1 or 2 spaces after each period and it should be consistent throughout the arc (if you use 1 space after the period, use 1 space each and every time).

    End of mission statement:

"++You have collect allot of information.Tell God's Gift to make sence of it.It doesnt look like good new's++"

There is no need for all the plus signs. They detract from what you are trying to say. Allot should be spelled 'a lot' and sence should be spelled 'sense'. An apostrophe should be used in the word 'doesn't' and there should not be an apostrophe in the word 'news'.

    God's Gift Statement:
Infiltrate The Verion Corporation Building =+=Chapter 1=+= You bring me bad new's Rude Dog.It seem's lucifer's plan is in full swing. He's spawning demon's,his minions are possessing the people of earth and he is now letting them loose on the street's. Lucifer is a mastermind when it come's to decieving man one word from his cold lip's are like poison to the ear's. If we will have any chance of stopping his evil plan we must strike now! Come back at sundown and i shall have a plan.....

Get rid of all the equal and plus signs. They serve no purpose. Clean up the grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I would suggest just copying/pasting your verbiage into a Word document and using the spell / grammar check as a first step.

I think this arc has the potential to be pretty good and I really enjoyed the trailer. I hope this does not come across as harsh as I am just trying to point out some areas for improvement.

    Good luck!

Regeneration only does one thing: regenerate. You aren't durable, you aren't tough, you aren't battle-hardened, agile, or strong.

Wolverine is all those things. He has battle experience, and tolerance to pain. He can take significantly strong blows because they won't break his bones. He can put up with being shot and cut. He's fast and agile. He can dodge attacks and avoid taking damage. He resists damage, he defends damage, he has a high tolerance to damage, but most of all he regenerates any damage he takes.

    So nyeh.

All good points, but I would still say wolverine is a claws/regen scrapper with power pools and IOs making up for the other aspects you mentioned.

  16. New to PVP and am thinking about doing a Spines/Reg Stalker. Is this build ok? It going to be an expensive build, but it will give me a goal. Are there any powers that I should skip and others I should take? I appreciate any and all advice!

  17. The DP set looks flashy, but it took forever for him to kill those mobs. Seems like the set might be weak. I would also guess it is a short range set, so not sure how it will compare to the other blaster sets. That being said, I still have my name saved for my DP character!
  18. I am curious about this as well. My Psy/MM is only lvl 12, but was curious if they are any good for PVP.
  19. Thanks for the replies.

  22. I have decided to take the plunge and build my own PC after years of just buying a new one every couple of years. This will be my first build and I will be using this PC for gaming. I thought I would ask this group if they had suggestions for the components.

I want to use Windows 7, but pretty much everything else is up for discussion. I do not want to spend more than $3k and I would like to get the most performance for my dollar, so any help is appreciated.

Tho I would really love an actual Spell Control. I really like the Rune of Warding temp power effect and think that would make a unique visual power set. All the animations could be arm movements like a traditional spell caster with nifty magic symbols like the Rune of Warding gets.
The main issue here is that it is not origin-independent, or at the very least must be stretched to fit non-Magic origins. While there are already sets that feel origin-specific (AR, /dev, /traps, most MM primaries) it's my understanding that this is considered generally undesirable from a design-goals standpoint.
I agree. I would prefer to see new animations that would fit the various powers, so you could select a spell caster animation for Spectral Wounds (for example)

    Excellent! Thanks!
  25. Sometimes I get an issue where I will log in and will start playing a character and I will try to do an attack hitting the 1, 2, 3, etc. key. The attack does not go off and I notice that the keys are mapping to power bar 2 instead of power bar 1 as usual. I usually log out and back in and it solves the problem, but this time I have tried it a couple of times and it is not working. Any suggestions?
