I don't care that all the costume stuff is unlocked, or at least the acension stuff. I honestly don't get why the paths and auras are unlocked since they're no more incarnate-ish than the others we can unlock at 30.
I do care that it took me around 10 BAF/LAMDAs each to get the simple acension armor (still don't have cape/face) over a week. I just dislike how long it takes, bought over half of Judgement with threads, lore still isn't unlocked (I'm sure I could if I wanted to with more threads but then what would I have to make components with?). I wouldn't mind so much if you could unlock an incarnate slot with maybe two or three trials, y'know like how easy Alpha was unlocked, but instead it takes dozens.
No I'm not forced to do the trials (unless I really want the Radient Acension stuff, which I did until I found out shields float a mile away from your arm on the normal set to have room for the floaty bit, I find that less attractive than clipping), but the other way round is insane.
A shard maybe every three missions (same level, equal to 4 heroes), and ten shards can be turned into ten threads every 20 hours, otherwise it's only 5? Then you need 20 threads to make any common incarnate component? That's, at the least, five times more than what you needed for incarnate threads, at the most ten times (4 shards made one of the alpha components, 4 shards- if traded one to one every 20 hours- is only 1/5 what you need to make a thread component).
I haven't even looked at what it takes to make bigger components. So yeah, there is another way to make the actual game changing stuff... but who in their right mind would think that as a viable way, well other than Hello Kitty Island Adventure grinders? Not only that, but doing 2 TFs to get astral merits? That'd take ten runs of each to just get two of the armor bits, taking ten days if you can get on both TFs each day, not ten runs of each to get five of them. Even then it isn't a soloable thing.
So yes, I agree, all the incarnate stuff in I20 is 'locked' out of a casual player's gameplay because they don't find doing the same trial over and over and over again a rewarding way to unlock them.
I've always liked the leveling up from 1 to 50 or whatever in any game more, so end game doesn't have that much appeal to me. I only did those trials for the costume bits, which were more disappointing than I was hoping cause of the shield issue. -
No fix for steampunk corsets? And no fix for having my shield float a mile away from my forearm if I use the acension gloves?
Sigh, End Game demand strikes again. -
Huh, did you say something Primantiss, I got distracted by this giant dancing kitty. Seriously, I stared at it for five minutes before realizing I was still on a message forum.
But yeah, I agree, SR might be excessive for tankers. Scrappers with it are untouchable as it is.
Saddly nothing really screamed at me with this proliferation. Annoyed that Brutes are finally getting broadsword, but since I got my Axe/shield, who I would have liked to be broadsword, one to 50 not too long ago I don't think I'll reroll them.
And right after posting I went right back to the kitty. Okay, it's time for bed. -
Quote:No they aren't, they can't send tells. Just kidding, yes they probably will be. I know I won't lie when they ask me what an SG is good for. Sure I designed a base or two, even figured out the whole lame 'stacking' scape goat they did to make it more customizable, but I've yet to find an SG which actually does something together...Face it, the F2Pers are going to ask VIPs at some point about other aspects of the game... and I don't think we're going to lie.
Well, there was SG-1 back when I used the Liberty server on my brothers account and Hami raids were worth it. But now if you want a big group of people to play with, hop into pocket D on you 50 who is only getting content through a round about, lengthy process.
I'm not opposed to buying costume bits I want, but if I wanted to spend hours and hours a day to get them in game I would play WoW. Not really, since I hate WoW. I mean, the acension stuff, okay only Incarnates can use it, so unlock it when you unlock your first incarnate slot. And the aura stuff, unlock that when you get +1 or something at the least. Maybe I just like the whole leveling up more than end game waste, because at 50- even with the incarnate stuff- I still feel like I'm going nowhere when I play that.
Yay, rant. -
Psionic melee/weaponry. I voted for it.

I was hoping for a metallic cape, but I also was hoping it could have the tribal designs the original capes had...
Alas, I may just have to stick with the cloth one on Silver Spider's SG costume. Still haven't decided if the pack is worth $10 to me though so I may just live with the cloth capes. -

I have to agree that making AE a zone for itself is a bad idea, it would defeat the purpose of making the AE building with actual windows which show everything in the zone outside. Not only that, but I appreciate finding a less traveled zone to make/edit/test actual stories my fellow players created.
As for the lag issue in AP for low leveled characters trying to find teams and the rediculous amounts of AE farm broadcasts, go team in Galaxy City. I mean, honestly, Galaxy is as empty as nearly any other zone when it comes to AE farmers. Sure, it may be hard to find a team there, but if everyone who was frustrated with AP being full of AE farmers were to start going there instead you could easily find a team of individuals who want to play the game in the same style as yourself. -
Objective: Lieutenants and Bosses gain way to many attacks when you switch from standard (which does not suggest "easy" in my mind and should have more attacks) to hard (this usually adds most of the tray to pick from). On the flip side changing from hard to extreme Bosses usually just gain one or two of the skills since this is usually all that remains after switching from standard to hard.
Perhaps we could fix this by having an easy setting (what standard is now or roughly 25% of the skills), standard (what hard is now minus two-four powers for each set, somewhere around half of the list), hard (having at least 75% of the attacks available) and extreme (all of them available). Also, if you do this you could work all the mez resists, or most of them, into the hard lists since (as stated before by others) my controller cannot hold a minion with certain defensive. And when I say cannot hold a minion I mean it, I've had easier times holding EBs Devs create on her than the lower end custom created critters who just happen to have fire aura on them because it fits their concepts. -
I have to disagree with the original poster, I may only test my arcs once and fix any of the outstanding bugs before publishing but I have add my vote for the badges. You get a lot just by testing your own arcs, and as to those who publish half baked arcs to get tickets to unlock content I say this:
Why not play someone elses arc? You get tickets from those too and help support the system as a whole if you rate and/or comment on them. The only purpose of playing your own Arcs solo, that I can see, would be to rate your own work and I find that unethical. Granted no one's taken a look at mine other than the exploiters who want me to rate there's yet and a single vote could help, but that isn't for me to make. -
Okay... after two hours of ToTing on Villains, I still hadn't seen a SINGLE Zombie Apocalypse announcement (heroes or villains). Neither had anyone on my team, some who had been playing for several hours. I'm not sure, but if they aren't every 2 hours, then when are they?
And if they aren't every one hour, then I don't think I'll be able to find the time to ever get the pumpkin head. I can't spend the entire week away from college and work for it, and I'll run into the same thing next year.
I remember the Rikti Invasions, it was as if the red warnings wouldn't stop during those weekends and every time I got out of a mission I seemed to be in the middle of one. I'd like the Zombie Apocalypse to be the same please.
Maybe you haven't gotten around to fixing Guardian? But I'd like to see a lot more of those, I'm not really interested in the other bits this year as I have plenty of extra Halloween Costume Salvage. And before anyone tells me, yes I do have the Global Notification thing that talks about Patrols in Grandville and Strikes in Sharkhead in my Global tab.
As for the Spirit issue people have complained about: It was the same way last year. Ghosts were the rarest, then Vampires, then Werewolves. And yes, I never did put the effort to get the Ghosts back then and I probably won't now.
