The Alpha is not account-based, it's per-character. There's no reason to think the others will be any different.

Keep it for I20 to craft higher-level Incarnate components!

Quote:This. In my view, Tyrant lacks the most important element of a Mary Sue - the story is not *about* him. He's just the face on the latest piniata we're supposed to take swings at for shinies. To be fair, that's only because he's the villain of the moment. When the Rikti were invading for an issue all the new systems and rewards were about them, it just wasn't "endgame" content. This is just a longer storyline than we're used to.
The writing on the Incarnate storyline has 99 problems but a Mary Sure ain't one. -

They've bitten off more than they can chew, and now they have to sleep in this bed they made, walking the walk in addition to talking the talk... someone help me out, I'm running out of cliches...

Quote:In *my* experience, I was on runs where BM spent less than 15 minutes on the map and I didn't get the badge. The wiki disagrees with you, as does my experience. On my last Master Run it took us more than 15 minutes from the moment we started fighting her (counting the time she was off the map) and I was sure we had blown it, but we still got the badge.

Quote:Okay, so if you're only concerned about those furries who make a big thing of their fetish... why exactly would the Animal pack mark a sudden uprise in those sort of characters?Hear me out sugar, I know there are some good furries out there, as well as Scalies. Heck, I'm friends in-game with a few of them. But then there are others. Others that fit the stereotype so perfectly it makes me happy to have napalm at hand.
Do you think a lot of CoH players will be like "well I've never had any interest in yiffing thus far, but now the newest costume pack lets me make a lionhead character and SUDDENLY THAT SEEMS SO SEXY"?
Or do you think a lot of furries will be like "well I've never had much interest in paying $15 per month to go around beating up Nazis, but for another one-time $15 I can do that *and* try to find people to have hot TOS-breaking yiff with, BABY SIGN ME UP"? -
Quote:You accuse the people who make the game of *spitefully* trying to make things more difficult for you, and when we don't agree we're fanboys? It all seems to be more about *decreasing* quality of life than improving it.

Yeah, you have to set it separately for each character - but on the upside, once it's set up, you no longer have to open the costume window at all, just hit the key or macro and watch the costume change!

Quote:Since there is a connection to the open air, Silver Gale can easily send a message/magical homing beacon out, then sit back and relax (there's no immediate danger in the cell, after all) while eight of the Do-Gooders crash through your front door, beat you up, disarm the laser tripwires, scrap the Scrapheaps, disable the explosives, and free her. The nine of them will then probably free the other prisoner, make sure the place is clear, and then send in PPD to mop up.You are locked within a cell. The bars are made of solid adamantium. You have a sink, a toilet, a cot, 'reading material', and a window leading outside, that is reinforced with adamantium bars and a force field (as it is my specialty, after all).
Having friends you can rely on is awesome. -
You can bind a key or macro to change to a specific costume with a specific emote.
For example, if you type the following in the chat window:
Quote:From now on, every time you press 'k' you will change into the first of your costumes with the "Flip" costume change emote./bind k "ccemote 0 ccflip"
The costume slots are numbered 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. It doesn't matter how you unlocked them, just which order they are in the window.
See here for specific costume change emote names. -
Well, if we're expanding on existing villain groups, the Praetorians (who had several faction, each of which was either citizen models with auras or one minion, one lieutenant and one boss all with the same model) are a good place to start. It's just a pity they decided that was enough and it's time to make ALL THE CONTENT be about them now.

Quote:It is also unmanly to be under 6 feet tall. The standards of masculinity in our culture are arbitrary, constricting and occasionally contradictory.A pony is just a size classification - and at the top end of the scale it overlaps with the size range that was often used for cavalry horses.
Several breeds, like Arabians for example, lie across the cut-off point, so some of them are ponies, and some of them aren't.
The difference between horses and ponies is the same difference as the one between humans who are over 6 feet and humans who are under six feet. -
Quote:Yeah. I don't have a dedicated farming character, because I don't find farming fun. I also don't have a dedicated PvP character, because I don't find PvP fun, and I don't have a Tank because I don't find Tanks to be fun. I feel no particular pride about any of those./this.
This thread is as pointless as "Who's proud not to have an RP toon!" or "Who's proud not to have a character that wears green!" Who cares? I play powersets because I want to play them, or they fit a concept. I don't care if SuperJoeSchmoe uses the same one to farm. I don't keep track of it, either. -

All the bonuses - Double XP, double merits, Notice of the Well (if applicable) are only given out the first time you run the WTF on that character.

Quote:Last year I spent like 40 minutes staring at Mako (last one I need for Justicar), both of us completely frozen by the lag that comes with 200 people crowding into Galaxy, pushing the buttons for all my powers and hoping for the best. I didn't get the badge. You may want to hold off on any immediate plans to get the AVs in RV, for the past two anniversaries the AVs were spawned in regular zones (the heroes in the Rogue Isles, the Arachnos AVs in Paragon City), and you could get the badges that way. The devs might end up doing the same thing this year.

Quote:You only have one slot, the Alpha Slot. The cooldown is for how often you can change what is in it. What it *does* is add Enhancement to all your powers.Thank you. So my next question. Do these slots have different cooldown times than the original three(core, core boost, Radial)? Having 6 new slots with a cooldown of 15 minutes each will make it hard to use them during game play.
For example, if you slot the bottom-most ability in the red tree, Musculature Boost, that gives you 33% Damage, 1/6 of which ignores ED. In other words, all your powers that can slot Damage get an additional 27.5% Damage on top of what you have slotted in them, ED is applied, and then they all get a 5.5% Damage boost on top of that. This bonus will persist as long as you have the Musculature Boost slotted.
As you go higher up in the tree, you'll find abilities that enhance more than one aspect of your powers at a time, and ignore ED to a higher degree. So your best bet is to see which Enhancement will benefit you the most, and try to craft one of the topmost abilities from that tree. If you just want the Level Shift, craft at least one Rare (the ones in the middle row that has four slots), slot that, and you're good. -
It would also help if the flag didn't reset to "not looking" whenever you leave a team, or zone, or check your enhancement screen, or when a sunspot flares up in the wrong way.

Quote:I'm not sure what you're talking about here. You can craft Alpha abilities from as many trees as you like, but you can only have one slotted at a time. If the one you have slotted has a level shift, you get a +1 level shift, otherwise you don't. That's it.I created my first notice/favor today. I had all 12 slots before but now I see a whole new "tier" of slots now. Will I need a notice for each of these? Each slot now has 6 slots(2 trees of 3 slots).
My questions. Will each 6 slot completed result in a level shift? It looks like each results in a level shift to me. Is this correct? I was disheartened to see this because it will take time to do this now. I can't maintain two accounts anymore(NA and EU). This requires too much effort. I have 2 alpha slotted toons on Freedom and I can't maturate my other 7 characters on Union. R.I.P CoH EU Account!!
The first tab of your Incarnate window shows your Alpha slot at the bottom, with the ability you have currently slotted in it. Above that are the other Incarnate slots, all of which are locked for now. If you click on your Alpha slot, you'll see all your currently crafted Alpha boosts to the right, and if you double-click on one, it'll get slotted. (You can do that if you haven't been in combat for the past 5 minutes or so.) -
Quote:This, and also, 2/3 of the Tier 4s ignore ED - that means for the Musculature Core Paragon, it's a minimum of 30% additional damage in any power that can slot damage. To be technical, it doesn't function as an addition to all the other buffs. Alpha slot boosts function exactly like putting an additional enhancement in any power that accepts enhancements of the same type as what the Alpha grants. Think of an Alpha Boost as being an HO that slots itself into every power that can be enhanced for whatever the boost grants. For example, if a power can't be slotted with an endurance reduction enhancement then Cardiac's endurance reduction has no effect on that power.
Since the Alpha Boosts work just like regular enhancements for each power they buff ED affects how the Alpha Boost enhances a power exactly as if the Alpha Boost was just another enhancement slotted into the power with the exception that whatever fraction of the boost that is set to ignore ED will work past the ED cap. In many cases that translates to about ~6% additional enhancement if that power's slotting already put it at the ED cap. -

Sadly, because of limits of the CoH character creator, you can have skin showing or you can have two colors (and mixes thereof), but not both at once.
