People have been asking for it for ages so it makes a lot of sense to do if the new tech allows it.
I don't think the new tech allows it. It sounds like these trials aren't instanced, just like hamidon. It just makes arranging for the runs easier.

It also makes me wonder how effective the Seers really are at seeing what people think about Cole's administration, and exactly how far out of line citizens of Pratoria can get before something bad happens to them. Even if they think not being slaughtered by the DE is overall a good thing, everyone gets annoyed by things the government does, or they think the government does. There's a big gap, though, between planning to blow up a praetor, and thinking that Cole's administration could use a shake-up because it lets bunches of heavily armed Syndicate and Destroyers run around the place (or that they're idiots because they're planning to outlaw curved cucumbers).

I haven't played through all the Praetoria missions yet. What's the most petty thing that we know from the story arcs that someone has been arrested/punished/disappeared for doing or thinking?
Being 1 minute late for curfew, had knees blown out and rest of family executed for trason. First power mish talks about a disgrunted citizen who took the law into his own hands and killed the officer who dealt that punishment.

Autocracy is unstable for one reason only: the lifespan of a person is limited. As for examples: A democracy which the opponents are oppressed is not a true democracy. A false democracy with one centeral leader can therefore be considered a dictatorship. Having said that, I'll give the example of Singapore once more, which many people have argued that it is not a true democracy, and that Lee Kuan Yew has managed to turn a 3rd world city state with no natural resources with only human labour, to a 1st world city state with world class standards in almost everything, except freedoms.

And now having said that, prove me wrong.

One possibility is because o-portal, like other clickable summoned entities, creates an actual physical object that can be stood on. It's possible to trap yourself while summoning an o-portal if done right.

I'm more of getting a vibe similar to GW and WAR non-instanced "group quest" events though, or simply, similar to the current praetorian events except a much larger scale. It's now plainly obvious that those praetorian events are being used to test the waters for these new events.

Second change: Scrappers got PPP pools, brutes got APP pools. (benefits non-weapon sets)

Third change: Brute fury damage cap reduced, easier to maintain fury.

    Fourth technically note: Kinetic introduced.

Fifth, I'm almost certain that the single target blasts in the scrapper APP were buffed. (benefits non-weapon sets)

Bill Z Bubba has a very good analysis of the best attack chains and the DPS potential of the different melee sets.

What I got from that thread is that, IMO, Katana and Dual Blades have the highest ST DPS potential, due to their good DPS and the procs you can slot in their top attack chains(Achilles' Heel and 2x purple procs in particular). DM/Shield with 10 targets will still be better for ST DPS, but it won't thrive when facing less enemies and it won't provide -res to the team.
Well, other than the fact that the thread is horribly outdated..
  13. Just a little wary... no temp powers... does that mean no jetpacks and ninja run too?

My point is that after playing that mish about 100+ times on the other side, I can't think of how it can be made epic.

    Anyway my thoughts, both ouroboros:

    1) Rikti original invasion. Including the whole laser beam from sky and obliterating places of interest moment. (They should have done something similar with the Praetorian invasion..)
    2) Nemesis original invasion. 48 people glowie-fest! (delivering the cure)

Anyway, they seem to be going for the next best option: B.A.F. riot! Also, apparently no temp or earned powers allowed, no more warburg nuke shivan combo. (also, maybe no ninja run, so people better start getting actual movement abilities..)

All using thugs and calling gang war. And took traps for FFG and seeker drones. 960 entities.

That and the fact that (1) it is not proven that he knows what the warwalkers are for, (2) he may truely believe that Prime is sufficient danger to society, and (3) if it was solely built by him, he'd make sure that it'd be perfect: taking down only threats with minimal external casualties. Chances are he's only in charge of making sure the whole darned thing works, while Neuron deals with the mass production anyway.

Also speaking of human rights, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_r...ional_security

And in effect, if considering Praetorian Cole's definition of a nation, he is absolutely justified in his actions. It's just that many of us disagrees with his definition of what constitutes a nation.

It's not tank level offense when your offense consists of temp powers, power pool attacks, and brawl.

Your tricks are great, but my trick is leveling everything before anyone can do tricks. Just relax and watch your rewards window. You do have a rewards window set up, don't you? WHY NOT?

You could always play "Inspiration Tetris" while I do the heavy lifting.
I find it unlikely that AIM BU NUKE (yes, even RoA mini-nuke) levels everything and is ready for the next spawn, unless for some reason that spawn is more than 200 yards away. Leveling spawns implies that you're moving to the next spawn in the next 5-10 seconds, it's why two (or more) elec/shield scrappers leapfrog spawns (or just go seperate directions).

Also, BU SC LR arguably hits spawns just as fast as AIM BU NUKE. (and recharges faster than the long recharge nukes. Since it recharges equal to buildup and aim, the AIM BU miniNuke has no advantage over the BU SC LR combo too.)

I could see Marauder as being mostly okay, though. He's an angry man, and pretty dangerous if you get him mad, but he doesn't seem that evil. Not a saint, but not too bad either.
Technically I think that's under the orders of Cole, so that doesn't really count, though Anitmatter's own invasions into other dimensions does. I'm still unconvinced that it's completely his own decision though, he seems to be a perfectionist and wouldn't bother others without reason (well, save for Neuron, though I don't know where that bad blood started at), at least based on his arc.

AFAIK there's only three sources of DDR in shield def: Battle Agility, Active Defense, and Grant Cover. Grant Cover's DDR is also non-enhancable, so the only ability helped by nerve for DDR is Battle Agility.

    @TrueMetal
Interestingly, Provost Marchand would probably agree with you, given his dislike for some of the praetors. Also, I wouldnt' say ALL the Praetors are "deranged despots, psychopaths and selfabsorbed megalomaniacs". Praetor White actually seems reasonably ok, though with a few "loyalty baggage" issues which can be fixed (most notably with Cleopetra and his old destroyers gang, which are both notably fixed in some of the Praetorian arcs), and though technically an ex-praetor, Antimatter seems to be ok too, if not for some jealousy issues.

Though as I mentioned, both spines and claws are already semi ranged (a ranged attack, and a ranged cone), and with epic can do just about as much ranged damage (if not more thanks to the "ranged" attacks using melee modifiers on scrappers) as any assault set. Main problem is that both spines and claws are heavily lethal based, meaning issues with lethal resistance/def. Also, you cannot use Shield Def with either.

    2) The membrane affecting active defense is officially a bug.
