In my personal opinion don't take Weave as its pointless for a tanker, and is another toggle which doesn't contribute much. However I definately agree, Taunt is a must for a PvE tank and resist energies is vital as invulnerability doesnt have that much energy res.

Morning/afternoon/evening all.

Recently i've just turned 50 on Soulja. And i'd like to use him for both PvP and PvE (mainly PvP though). I was hoping that some of you may be able to help with a build considering I know pretty much sod all about IOs. Preferably I'd like to make it playable for Sirens Call but i am finding extremely hard to fit in both the leadership pool (tactics for stalkers) and the fighting pool (tough) as well as the powers i'd normally take.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

i think you should restart it. it seems by reading the posts here that you will have more than enough candidates for your team, myself included.

Trying to build a Katana/Dark Armour scrapper...and running into a few walls with endurance problems and healing problems. Im finding that i'm having to rely on inspirations a lot, and that my dark regeneration keeps missing. currently at lvl 23 i only have 3 slots on dark regeneration and in later levels will have 6 on it, yet i still dont know the best way to slot it. Any ideas? and any recommendations on how to slot my shields, otherwise ill end up slotting them 3 dmg res and 2 end red.

Any help greatly appreciated

Erm...i'm not one to generally take things the wrong way...but i'd hate to think you was calling me egocentric.
All i want to do is build a damn good controller with the powersets i've chosen...and i'm not going to go around after (and if) i beat a GM or AV and boast about it, i just want to see it as a challenge rather than make a toon thats easy to level and get to 50 in 6 weeks.

I know there are several posts to this question...but I'd like to get a more up to date version of what you guys think.

I'm trying to build a decent Fire/Rad, worthy of challenging and possibly beating an AV.
Also that would be good for PvP.

Any suggestions or comments that would help me build this to the best it can be would be greatly appreciated.

i can kinda guess a lot of you will mention when in granite your DMG and ATK speed is pointless for PvP, so what about just having the other armours on and rooted and stuff like that.
I don't know much about stone/? tankers so if you could just prod me in the right direction...(gently though)

Hero Builder says that Fiery Embrace gives an additional bonus of 100%dmg for 10 seconds non-fire, and 20 seconds additional bonus for fire type attacks. however my hero builder has not been updated in a while, perhaps before I7 so it might and most probably has been changed

What type of tank would you have a tough time killing then?
And with Impale I don't think I could've run very far lol

My main is Fire/SS and i must admit its fairly good in PvP.
The only thing it has no chance against is anything with fear or multiple holds (like a Ninja/Dark MM for example).
Also i seem to get completely owned by Spines/Regen regardless of having the Perma-Rage/Hasten/Fiery Embrace/KO Blow combo.
Spines/Regens are really starting to annoy me and a lot seem to think Tanks are easy targets. This is why I am looking for a build that will stand up to them or at least give them a hard time.
Tanks rule no matter what anyone says and I'm trying to prove that lol

I just wanted to know what you all thought was the best build for a PvP Tank and why.

I am a tank player and I absolutely love PvP so I was thinking of making one specifically for PvP...but I don't have a clue where to begin.

Pesonally (as i have 1 myself) I would go for EM/SR. Sr has always been good...and when you think about it, upon getting energy transfer, agile and dodge...using energy transer as your first attack out of hide its gonna get a critical and then get a defense bonus from agile and dodge, still with the defense bonus from hide. Its a pretty good defense and a especially powerful 1st attack.
My only worry is that theyre going to nerf it lol
