Thanks for the advice folks!

I knew this build wasn't too hot--I can build blasters and scrappers like no one, but this tank thing is all new to me. I figured an early Taunt was a Good Thing...I'd spotted some of the other issues you kind folks have raised as well and figured if I was silly enough to make those goofs I should wait on you lads and ladies before I rebuild.

And now I know how to get Mids showing right on this new forum!

I've not a lot of cash to burn on this toon, but have a combined total of close to 2 billion on other toons on the same server, so purps are def something I'm looking into when this toon makes 50.

Wow, fast advice!

And this is why whenever I make a toon on another server I feel like a cheating dirtbag. :-)

Well, with August being Tank month (heh) it's about time I make my first tank. So I'm trying to decide on power sets. Everyone seems to have different opinions on this one, so I'm turning to good ol' Champion for advice here.

I'd like a primary and secondary that are 1) fun to play, 2) fairly solo-friendly and 3) will be decent fun in endgame pvp.

I know fire / ss is supposed to be a blast, as are a few other combos, but I'm not really up on the changes tanks may have undergone in the last few issues.

Opinions?

I thought Manticore was a better fit--the Chariot also concerns creating harmony out of contending forces. Manticore himself is the most conflicted of the FP and the one who struggles most with his nature.

You can do them alone. I've got most of the Oro badges myself, including All For One, and have soloed every mish (using an NRG / Fire blaster).
Generally I tend to go for three badges in a single--two days ago I did an arc with only AT powers, player debuff and no inspirations all at the same time. It is very very doable. All of them.

I hate 'no enhancements'...much tougher. Still doable though. If you want a real challenge...enemies buffed + player debuff + only AT powers. Whoo.
