Well...
Did an All Scrapper ITF, not many of us who had declared our intent came, but it was what it was.
I feel we should have done better...
I have written a full assessment of it, and observations about it but I'm not sure if its too harsh.
How's about we try it again next Sunday?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd be up for it again. Might bring spines/fire this time.
And I totally want to read your full, no-holds-barred assessment. -
[ QUOTE ]
Ahhh! Guys I am so sorry I completely brain farted and forgot about the TF! Please don't beat me too hard
[/ QUOTE ]
*beats Santorican gently* -
All-scrapper ITF is forming on Virtue! Come one, come all!
Okay, so, we've only got 5 spots. But still!
Edit: I apparently lied. Only 4 spots left! -
What server? I'm on Virtue standing by Imperious, and it's pretty deserted.

I'm right there with you. -
[ QUOTE ]
Hmmm maybe we should switch to an ITF?
[/ QUOTE ]
I would be down for this. Haven't done an ITF in a while. -
I think I've decided to bring my Claws/SR. Definitely my most survivable, unless the RNG decides to be a hater. I added the Achilles' Heel proc, the last LotGs, and swapped Elude for Hasten. I've got a Heavy and Shivans, and 2/3 nukes (gonna get the last one later).
That said, if it's decided immobs are what we want, I'll bring Spines/Fire. Not as survivable, but she's got a self-rez. -
[ QUOTE ]
Bring whomever you enjoy playing the most. I think the rule of thumb is going to be "If you aggro it, you tank it!"
[/ QUOTE ]
*scratches spines/fire from the list*
I think I'll have more fun on my SR, anyway.
Now, about those LotGs... >.> -
[ QUOTE ]
Are we going to go get nukes and shivs or should we already have them? I already have mine locked a loaded lol.
[/ QUOTE ]
That makes this a good time to ask this question.
Who do I bring?
Softcapped, IOed, purpled Claws/SR? (Only missing a few LotGs, if anyone wants to donate. >.> )
Spines/Fire loaded with level 50 common IOs, and a couple of -KB IOs?
DM/Shield loaded with level 50 common IOs, and a couple of useful set IOs (Steadfast +Def, etc. No sets bonuses...and this is assuming I can get her to 50 by the weekend. She's 41 now.) -
[ QUOTE ]
I had to look at it twice. Without changing any powers or pulling slots, I say you should pull the KB protection off of tough and put the res/def IO there and put a botz KB IO in super jump. I see you have it unslotted. That's what I would do short of a total build overhaul.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a good idea. I totally forgot about Blessings.
That said...do you think it needs a total overhaul? -
That time works great for me. Sign me up for Virtue. I might even have a DM/Shield to 50 by then, though probably only fitted with commons.
-
Anything I could have done better/more efficiently? I'd like to make room for the Gladiator 3% defense as well, but I'm not sure where to cut a slot from. I considered Hasten, which will bring its recharge from 127 to 133 seconds. Is the extra 3% defense (bringing me from 10% or so to 13%) worth the loss of 6 seconds of hasten?
Any help is good, I've only IOed out two characters before, and have no experience with making resist sets more survivable.

You added another paragraph just after I responded to you...
[ QUOTE ]
Also, don't expect players to stealth in order to make your mission fun to play. Stealth (and its various other cousins) are not part of many builds and those characters are going to have to fight. Some players like to fight. If it becomes a grind because of your design don't expect them to like it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't make the mission for stealth, I just pointed out stealth could make it easier (the character he used was a SOA, but I don't know if he took stealth). And most enemies could be avoided if he hugged the walls. All mobs were stationary groups in this mission. Personally I fight my way through. 1LT and 2 minions mobs (what I encountered) should not be that difficult.
[/ QUOTE ]
I fight through most of the time as well unless the mobs prove annoying. I have a pet peeve with teams that want to stealth everything. For me it's like skipping the steak to get to dessert. I want both.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd rather clear maps, too. Fighting is too much fun in this game (mostly) to skip all the time.
Also, sigged. -
I would be up for a Virtue version. I've got a softcapped Claws/SR that's IOed out, and a Spines/Fire that only has common IOs so far, except for the -KB IOs. I could probably get a few sets in her, but I'm still researching what best to go for in set bonuses.
-
I've written an arc (#149765) with Crey as the main antagonists. I plan on making it a three Act story revolving around the Revenant Hero Project, as well as some other Crey projects I made up. I wanted to use Invisible Falcon and Shining Light, but I also want them to be as accurate as possible. Is there any way I can get the following questions answered?
1) Is there a set costume for either of the two? Invisible Falcon never really appears, as far as I know, and Shining Light is only shown in a Paragon Protector outfit (again, as far as I know).
2) How about powersets? No clue on Invisible Falcon, though Shining Light seems to be electricity based.
3) Is there a list of other heroes believed kidnapped (or ones whose bodies were stolen) by Crey for use in the Revenant Hero Project? If so, where can I find information on them to answer questions 1 and 2 for each? -
I was about to drop this thread from my favorites to make room, but...
*gets popcorn* -

I wont be running the list anymore. I made it through 31 of them but am done now due to the badge nerf.
[/ QUOTE ]
See, this attitude is ridiculous. "I don't need to have you run my arc because it won't give me any badges any more, so I won't be running any either." This is pathetic. I want people to run my arcs because I want to entertain them with my stories. I want feedback on my arcs so I can improve them.
I was on the fence about the badges being removed. There are some pretty awesome badge titles in there. I got quite a good number of them just running different arcs, and testing my own. I'd see "Badge Earned!" float by and I'd stop and look, thinking "Wow, what's this one for?" But seeing the attitudes expressed in this thread alone put me in favor of it. Seeing some badgers basically saying "[censored] you" to people that actually want their arcs ran to entertain instead of for badges makes me sick.
Cende, I look forward to your updated list, minus the arcs from the quitters who give badging a bad name.
[/ QUOTE ]
See your attitude is what makes me sick.
I hate it when people are so closed minded that it has to be their way or no way. Some people like badging for the sake of badging, and you know what? That's OK. Some people like to make stories, and have them played, and read.....and that's OK too. Hell some people just like to farm, and in spite of what Posi says, that's OK too.
What's not OK, is idiots, who go out and judge you for one or the other.
Just because you don't like something, or you think something is dull, doesn't mean everyone feels the same way. Learn to respect other people. Everyone has the right to enjoy whatever they wish.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nowhere am I trying to say it's "my way or the highway". I respect everyone's right to play how they want. I don't care if someone wants to badge, farm, PL, RP in Atlas, or whatever mixture of the above floats your boat.
In fact, it's the players like the one I quoted that are dictating to an extent. They're mad because the rules of the game changed, so they're taking their arcs and going home. Screw the people that worked hard on their arcs and want honest critique. Screw the people that want to actually EARN their stars.
I don't fault people for wanting badges. I love to collect badges. It's the OCD "OMG I gotta have every single one" attitude that makes the Devs do things like remove these badges. Badges should be about what a character has done. Not about what a player can push the system into doing. Badges have long since lost their meaning, and I think that's sad.
So, fine. The ones who make arcs for badges can go. Leaves more room for the people who make stories to be told. -

The Crey Conundrum, Act I - Project: Sleeper
Crey Industries' "Revenant Hero Project" is infamous for producing the Paragon Protectors, clones of heroes both living and dead. But what is "Project: Sleeper", and what connects the two?
First in a planned three-part story. Look deep inside Crey and their machinations. Help bring them down once and for all!
Arc ID: 165082
Gypsy's Day Off
It's Typsy Gypsy's day off, and all she wants to do is get a little work done in the base, and then take a nice long soak in the tub. Unfortunately, Tyrant has noted her recent interference with his plans, and wants to ruin her "me" time! Can you help out so she can finally get a relaxing day off?
Comedy stand-alone arc. I made it for my girlfriend for Mother's Day, and decided to leave it up until I need the slot. Couple of Praetorian EB/AVs, and a decently tough custom group. Not for the faint-hearted.
I'm not looking for automatic 5-stars, I'd rather be rated what you think it deserves. Feedback is always welcomed. I'll start at the top of the thread and work my way down, skipping to those who let me know they ran mine as appropriate. I'll send my arc IDs with the feedback when I run yours so you'll know I've run it. -
Did I miss where the Unique Crey Revenant Hero lab map was removed?
-
Things went well at my daughter's appointment; no emergency trip to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
So, I'm good for tonight. -
