After playing a DM/DA to 50, I had soooo much fun getting my EM/WP to 50. But you're right, my bf plays a DB/WP brute. His doesn't hit as hard but he attacks much faster so effectively kills more than I do.
I have a lvl 38 FM/WP. Perhaps that will be my next 50. Then again, I have a lvl 27 Claws/WP...sighs...my altitis is acting up again. -
Magik mentioned it but for the most part I don't see too much about energy/ brutes. Why is that?

Umm, if you have a dm/da brute already, and your damage is low, you did something wrong. I have a DA/DM tank and it has solid damage output, and it isn't even optimized for damage. Your damage output with that combination on a brute should be fantastic.

My DM/DA is lvl 50. I had fun getting her there and the survivability is good. But her damage is low. SM/DA sounds fun. Which other primary would work well?

I want to make a dark brute but not DM/DA (because I already have one). I've been reading the boards and have seen favorable comments on DM/WP and SM/DA. Pros & cons? Any other suggestions? For Pve, mostly solo. I already have a nrg/wp, fire/wp, claws/wp, and just deleted a mace/da. And did I mention I like to S-M-A-S-H?!

I agree with everything you said about Dark/Cold. Dark Blast does not have enough damage for my taste but I took it because I felt I needed a self-heal since, as you said, /Cold does not have one. I used two slots in TT to bring the range a little closer to Nightfall. Although this is the least favorite of my corrs, it is fun to play when paired with a Brute.
Which primary is on your /Cold Corr?

The fire/dark was so much fun to level that I made an ice/dark. I have a dark/cold that is level 47. It's taken me a long time to get her there because I don't like her that much. That's why I was wondering why you picked that combo...thought you knew something I didn't know.

(skimmed through the posts) OMGosh...so far I'm loving what i17 has to offer. I've been waiting for in-game email since Day 1! More badges w/ more accolades...Yes! My altitis is killing me. Now all my teens and twenties have something to look forward to. And how sexy will my tail look when I walk down the street.

Ok, maybe I took off for a little bit. I tried Aion. I love it but it has all these clones running around. You can tell which class a player is by their clothes. Maybe it gets better as you level? More options, crafted stuff, better armor drops? Or something?
I tried Champions Online. One word for it...eww! Is that a word? Ok, in all fairness I only played it one night so the jury is still out but I'm thinking their minds are made up.
