It seems like the Phalanx is going to sort of be replaced with some new people such as Penny Yin. She's like a replacement psyche.

I believe they're trying to go for photorealism and next gen graphics, but I'm not particularly fond of the look myself.

As said by Lothic, the nuke abilities are rather poor once acquiring abilities like your Judgement power. They have about the same cool down except one is only slightly less powerful yet doesn't destroy your end and/or HP.

Normally I'd say "Yeah I guess" but after TPN...

Wicked useful for getting your PPP for heroes, though. I do agree it's a bit pricey, but I guess some are willing to pay a good $15 to skip waiting 4 days.

Quote:Eh, if I paid the money I deserve the benefits and advantages, but I can't argue with you. Your statement's pretty air tight. I look forward to seeing more buff pets but perhaps there's a way to categorize the little buggers in the coding?I doubt they are going to reverse this change anytime soon. They did this not only as a possible means to save load on the servers but also probably to limit our ability to have a whole collection of vanity pets that provide multiple buffs active at the same time.
In case you are not aware there is a brand new vanity pet being tested on the beta server now (a cute little leprechaun actually) that provides a bonus to INF earned while active. This is the first time we've ever gotten a non-Vet vanity pet that provides a buff like this. Clearly this means that the Devs intend to add other new pets over time that will likely provide other new buffs. Ultimately they probably didn't want people running around with 5 or 10 pets each providing multiple buffs all at once.
I don't like the change they made with this. But given the likelihood of where things are going it does sort of make sense.
Husky, Snowman, Vanguard MVAS, and the Vet noncombat pets could all be in their own category and stack since they don't provide any buffs, while the pets that provide special benefits are limited to one out at a time.

So you can jump between Hero and Villain right away? Or just from hero to vig?
-
Was thinking dark armor, so I guess brute then?
-
What the title says. I know the values aren't set in stone yet so it's hard to compare, but haven't noticed much of a difference in damage when trying either on beta. Only got each to about 15-20 though, so it may still be too early to judge. Part of me says I should go with brute, but thought I'd ask the smart people first.

Quote:Buh?The OP was suggesting that secondary powersets be made to work with the guns out, thereby eliminating redraw. As such, the secondary powerset's animations would need to each be remade to work with the guns out.
D'oh.
Must've read over that. My bad. Yeah that's just ridiculous. -
That's the spirit!
I've been a victim of an extra 0 mistake but shrugged it off within a few minutes. -
According to the terrible famicom version of the game, neither shot first. Luke crashed the land speeder into the bar and killed Gredo.

Touche. I just hope you're not actually trying to say the Phantom Menace was good.
Wouldn't mind seeing GB3 though. The third movie's script certainly sounds interesting. Never played the video game made a couple years back though, so not sure how much of the plot was worked into it. -
You're a really good person. Normally I'd congratulate this, but you can't be a good person when business comes to play. Let your inner corporate demon take over!
In all seriousness, don't worry about it. It's nigh impossible to find out who truly spent that much on the money and putting all that accidental money to waste isn't going to make him/her feel any better. -

Quote:Sorry couldn't hear you over the sound of Reactive Interface and Fire Ammo combo being awesome.3. The secondary effects of the Swap Ammo power are so weak they are useless.
Quote:To expand on why there is redraw with any weapon set:
Drawing a weapon puts you in a different combat mode than normal. To go back to the other powers, you have to go back to the normal mode, unless the other powers share the combat mode (such as Archery and Trick Arrow). To make the other powers work in Dual Pistol's combat mode, you'd need to redo each animation 6 times. Why 6 times? One for Female, one for Male, one for Huge, one for Female flying, one for Male flying, and one for Huge flying. So for EACH power, you'd need to redo 6 animations for every weapon set you'd like to do this to.
So, to make a set work with one weapon powerset would require as much work as creating a whole new powerset.
Let's look at Corruptors, who have 12 Secondary powersets and 8 Ancillary pools (plus 9 Power Pools). That is a total of [(12 * 9) + (8 * 5) + (4 * 5) + (5 * 4)] * 6 = 1128 animations. So, to make this work for JUST Dual Pistols would take as much work as making 125.3 new powersets.
Which do you think is more worth it?
Edit: Of course we could always just raise the damage on DP instead of redoing the animations. I admit, though, the flashy animations are a bit much on more "serious" toons. -
If they DO make it, it should be now or never. Rick's not getting any younger. Whether it's terrible or not, it'll still make a good bit of money. Ghostbusters 3 could either be REALLY REALLY good or REALLY REALLY awful.

My friend played a Street Justice/Regen brute and it played kind of like a melee glass cannon. A bit less sturdy than most brutes but was doing a significant amount and at least had some self heals and a self rez. He's also new to CoH though, so he may not have enhanced well.

Some of y'all outta get paid for your textures, or at least get a heavy in game reward or extra game time for it. These are remarkable.
-
I've seen it work in MMOs before. As long as the damage is scaled down from the usual damage (perhaps tanker-esque damage) it wouldn't be too OP. But if it got accepted, more melee sets would have to get ported over.
