Seriously, cybertech looks pretty nice. The back detail and trench coat/jacket are worth the points... They look nice with celestial (another set I want so badly :/). Now to wait till they put it on live

Oyeh, and also important, nice design ^^
  2. Well... it's a good idea you try to use social media more to open the information to as many people of the community as possible, but my only question is, will this be limited to twitter? I personally only use the CoH forums (I don't have twitter or facebook or anything for multiple reasons).

You guys said in TwitchStream there would be special stuff given away that can only be obtained with twitter. If this is new stuff (let's say a costume piece) will it be eventually accesible on another way? Also the screenshots and the pictures, will those be twitter limited too?

I have no problem that you guys use other stuff than forums, it's a good idea... but you have your own forums and tbh lately some things have been posted on facebook and twitter and not on the official forums (like the downtime last...week(?) iirc...) You asked in Twitch, I think. You saw the responses (psychotii said something very good I think)

Either way, good idea, as long the special stuff wont stay limited to twitter only (I don't mean that if you give a new costume piece away it should be put on the market instantly, but perhaps later on after a few months or something...).

Anyways, guess I best wish everyone good luck for the coming tweet code thursdays! It certainly seems interesting

PS: ignore spelling/grammar mistakes, english isn't my first language
  3. Hehe first time I"ll enter a cossie comp on the forums, seen a few nice costumes already...so my 2 entries...

The first one is the current main, newest and favorite costume of my main, Sebaddon. He's a Praetorian mutant origin and the suit doesn't give him any powers exactly, it serves more as some kind of extra protection during the Praetorian wars. It looks techy-ish to me so...Sebaddon:

Next is Astromech, also one of my older Praetorians from back when Prae was new. He's not so active anymore, but I still like his cossie. He has control of a small robot army, and his suit is gives him the ability to project energy (force fields, energy blasts -epic pool- ).

    So there, my 2 entries.

    Good luck everyone!
  4. Well on union people did the 2nd one since it's highlighted in LFG and they got the bonus/notice... I guess the devs clicked the wrong box

Not sure or they're going to change it back, but atm i'ld say respec 2

As I said in my reaction, I never claimed they wanted to do it. I said it was due to the new public. Again, like I said, if you make a movie now with puppets, while also using more advanced technology people will just start whining. When it comes to that sort of thing, they kind of have to listen to the adience in order not to create any people being annoyed.

As I'm pretty certain, as many people are now complaining they... well I wont say better, but "upgraded" the movies. I'm pretty sure more people would've been upset if they didn't...

And again, I really don't get how you can be against it and complain. If you don't like it, don't watch it.

I find it however rude to say he's a "ego-driven, eccentric and utterly used to getting his own way as anyone would ever suspect". Because, and here's a shock, it's *his* movie. *He* chooses what he puts in *his* story.

As for what makes a good movie. It is, and I'm sorry to say this, utterly rediculous that you make some kind of defenition of it. Or even objectify (or however you spell it, English is far from my 1st Language, sorry about that) it. Everyone likes a different genre, the fact that Golden Girl and I are 2 examples of people who don't think the movies are "awful" is an example of that. Sorry to say, but the movies you like are a subjective choice.

I also don't really understand what you mean with not being able to rationalise ones actions... believe it or not, there are people that have no problems killing entire families in real life, including children. Who you don't expect it of. And let padme skip over it, I don't know, his mother was killed... he was angry... what he did may be wrong but at some points you don't need yet another discussion in the movie about it.

Another thing I kind of disaggree with is this, i think his vision is his story.

If you don't like the story. Don't watch the movie.
If you don't understand the story. Don't watch the movie.
If you think the characters are not believeble. Don't watch the movie.
If you don't like the movie, don't suggest it to others.

It's really as simple as that I think. Also, I don't understand how you can be against updating your movies, years ago they didn't have the digital technology, so they used puppets. It didn't always look very good, but they had to deal with it. Now they have the technology, and unfortunatly with todays public they have to "upgrade" it, for both stop the complaining (FAKE!!!) as to make the movie have more sense (for example the emperor is replaced in the V and VI with the emperor from the III).

Please don't take any of this offensive or aggresive. But again, how much you like a movie is subjective. Because you don't like it, that doesn't mean nobody does. And if you don't like it, don't watch it. In my eyes, i think it's as simple as that.

I know, and I respect that. I also think I made clear that everything *I* said is my, personal opinion. And for that reason isn't the same as others.

I never said it was a bad article, I only said it bothered me that if you introduce someone to Star Wars you don't even show them all the movies.
  8. Now I'm a hard core star wars fan, I love the books (i can get, hard to find them in Belgium) and the movies. The only star wars thing I don't like is the old republic game. *I* for one don't think any of the movies are bad, or should be watched in a certain order. I watched the original trilogy first, then the II and III, but only because I got them for my birthday from my uncle. I got the first a few weeks after that. I usually try to avoid posting in forums other than the costume redesign thread, but this article... bothers me.

First of all, yes, many people dislike jar-jar binks. But if you think that ruins the entire first movie...I've always seen the first movie as something that introduces Anakin. As well as the beginning of the War between jedi and Sith since the first time (again) in 1000 years.

Also, apart from the jar jar binks reason, other things that you don't know from watching the first movie can become a problem if you are further interested in the rest of the movies. The midi chlorians being mentioned and anakin having no father (virgin birth)... it has a connection (*hint*: Darth Plagueis lives a part in the first movie... remember what Palpatine sais about him in the third... it's about Anakin...).

Granted, the order the writer suggests leaves out a few confusing parts, other things like "a trade dispute <-> systems leaving republic or Obi-Wan with <-> without beard are no real confusing things to me. I've watched the movies first time when I was about 12 years old, I understood most of it, so I hope not many adults have problems understanding the movies.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not saying this is a bad or wrong article, I'm mainly bothered by the "leaving the first movie out". For the main reasons of Jar Jar... and some confusion. Most people have heard of Star Wars, when they're interested in watching the movies, I'ld simply begin with either the one or the fourth (personally). Then they can decide or they like it, and watch the others.

I got introduced to star wars with the games (battlefront I and II), then watched the films. Ordering people to watch the movies in a certain order is just a bit weird to me. You're making it, in my eyes, more complicated than it is.

Of course, this is my personal opinion. I wouldn't do it like the writer suggests. But hey, that's me +

PS: I love all the movies, even the first. The pod racing part and the duel of fates is just epic.

    Its pretty dissapointing.
New powersets are (iirc...I could be wrong so people can correct me...please be nice when doing so) not till way after issue 23, around issue 24, the SSA's aren't till issue 23 (which is next week..or at least any time soon "before summer"/celestial removes next week). For costume sets we have:
1: Retro sci-fi: Zwill said in Ustream it's only in the summer
2: Cyberpunk: Zwill said in Ustream it was only in the developing/drawing phase, the pictures they showed were not in game or anything)
3: The apocalypse (or whatever) from this year's summit, since retro sci fi still not out I guess another year :/

T9 VIP's get ofc mecha (leaving the goodies to them! >.<), and all VIP's and premiums get chainmail and leather (meh...) at issue 23....

    (am I forgetting some?)

I aggree with you completely, it's been a rather uniteresting month(s) for a lot of people with just the sets, and the 4 legged rig stuff, yeh...too much...

And the summer event will be in july, also iirc, so could be wrong (again).

Looking at the bright side, issue 23 will bring us some new stuff, so let's hope, oh let's hope we get some interesting stuff then
  10. Yeh I just realized after I posted it... Thought it already was friday >.>

Already edited it, but the shame is on me, not fast enough :-P
  11. There was a lot of confusion on Union about it, thougt it would be up already (damn you time zones!)

But I do think this is a great idea, hope we get something interesting, and if not... Well it's free =D

BTW; I think this is a great idea
  12. I had the same problem when incarnates just got out, a hero went villain, started ramiel's arc, then went back hero but couldn't continue the arc. I contacted NCsoft and they said that at the moment the only thing I could do was going back villain do complete, then go back hero. And unfortulatly for your friend, this hasn't changed, so he'll have to go back villain

As for the DA arcs, you only get contact after you unlocked your alpha slot... so either you have to buy it in ouroboros with (I think astral merits), or he goes back villain side, completes ramiel's arc, then goes back hero.

Anyways, good luck with it :/
  13. Hm awesome survey, I whined in Union Chat (as you can guess, "the" union chat channel) that people should fill it in...
    ...
... and well they have to say cyberpunk is awesome
From the glance on Ustream it looked great, still haven't been able to find a decent picture of it... *looks at Zwillinger*

I personally am really looking forward to the whole "put your character in a movie" thing, and the magistrium trial (please don't mind the spelling )...well many of my characters started there including my main.
    Luckily they never liked Cole.

For what I want in the Paragon Market, nothing special really, some really nice ideas been mentioned on this thread. And I am pro-Tier 9 VIP (celestial when it disappears in issue 23 for example) to be available to all VIP's after... and perhaps even Premium *after*.
  14. (first response on forums ever )
Thanks a lot you guys, surerly gonna try one of them (still have to decide). Think I'll go with ideon since I'm more than happy with normal cap, but then again, still comparing. I'll let you guys know how it turned out
