  1. I don't think anybody'll be walking after the sort of things we do to them.
  2. I always kind of figured that we beat everyone up and the cops show up afterward to arrest everyone.
  3. I believe that may have been deliberate.

I like SG1 and SGA. I also like SGU. SGU is its own show. It doesn't need to be exactly like its predecessors. If you made it exactly like its predecessors, it becomes Star Trek and then we get stories about the Invincible Lost Science Ship Voyager. Is that really what you want, a ship and crew that never ever get hurt no matter the odds stacked against them? Sorry, but that just isn't realistic enough even for my suspension of disbelief. There's a reason why I didn't care much for Voyager (and Enterprise) and I'd hate to see SGU take that route.
  5. That's about all there is on Tuesday.

Face it your just getting a kick out arguing with someone.
What popular shows? Dancing With the Stars? Are you telling me you actually watch that banal crap?
  7. I certainly hope people are bugging the missions that won't complete. The devs aren't going to know something's wrong if you don't.

Overwhelming Ambushes of Doooooooommmmm!: Let me start by saying that I don't necessarily have a problem with them; fending off a dozen waves of baddies at once can be fun, and I've had myself quite a good time doing so on several occasions. However, if there are any devs reading this, please don't have such ambushes spawn on top of you when you have to escort a killable, and therefore stupidly courageous, NPC to the door. And if you do, because you want it to be tough, please, for the love of all that is holy, please let the mission fail when the NPC dies.

The perfect example of this is the "Beethoven's 5th Symphony" alignment mission, hero side. I free the Longbow captive, and am immediately jumped by hundreds of Arachnos. This is awesome, and lots of fun, but 15 minutes later, when the smoke clears, the Longbow agent is nowhere to be found, and I check the logs and sure enough, she died somewhere early in the fight, but now there's nothing I can do about the mission other than reset it and try again. Why couldn't it just fail like most of the other missions that have a hostage that dies?

Anyone else bothered by this, or am I just crazy?

    Very frustrating.
That's what you call a BUG.
  9. I personally think a tell is far more polite than no tell at all.
  10. And once again, that's not SyFy's fault. Personally, I don't think the writing is bad at all, but considering we've disagreed on everything so far....

Quite, the old lore concerning faerie abduction is almost indistinguishable from modern alien abduction tales. I really love how they connected the two here.

What the hell is on Tuesday that's allegedly so interesting? Aside from NCIS at 8 and SG-U at 9, there's nothing else on that catches my attention.

I think Fireball might be influenced by the D&D fireball which was very much an AoE attack since it was so ginormously huge.

But I agree, what I always loved about 3.5 was the virtually endless supply of content and customization. Think of any character in mythology or pop culture are and 99% of the time you could build a character like that via cross-classing or prestige class. Both from a roleplaying aspect and power-gaming.
This illustrates precisely what I loved about 3.5. Sure, there were the rules lawyering munchkins, but I didn't care about that. It was never my focus. What meant to me the most was customizing my character to my heart's content. I could make a rogue that was radically different from any other typical rogue and so on and so forth. You could be different, and different is good.

    Same is bad.

No I did not miss your point, you're just failing to comprehend the underlying sameness.

Same hit chance. Same damage. It doesn't matter where your miniature is standing on the board, you're still effectively doing the same damn thing to the enemy. There's nothing that feels different down to the core of what your character's effects are.

    4e is just... boring.

My point precisely. Same stuff, different flavor text. Thus, mechanically identical.
  21. None of my characters had fitness to start with, ergo I won't be needing to change any of them.

I haven't seen Paragon paths repeated, I haven't seen epic destiny's repeated (except by me. I love the Undying Warrior epic destiny).
Just because the flavor text is different doesn't mean the mechanics are. I've read through a couple of those 4e classes in the book store. They very much look identical to each other.
