Quote:You say cheap, I say lazy. All that said, there's also one other factor that does weigh in your favor-- all artistic decisions aside, this art style is incredibly cheap to do. By limiting character angles, making more abrupt movements the norm, and keeping the detail low, viewers don't notice just how littile work needs done in the "tween" frames. If you did something like that on a more realistic model, it would be much MUCH more visible. It makes for much more cost-effective production work, but it does also contribute to the "cheapness" feel for one used to higher-production-cost work like a Disney feature film.

Quote:I see you're misrepresenting what I mean by a square with eyes and legs. I mean a literal SQUARE with eyes and legs! Timm's characters reasonably resemble people, Tartakovsky's DO NOT. What the hell is wrong with Deedee? Where the hell is her torso? She's a head with arms and legs!!You do not understand the definition of "critique" sir.
Do not try to change your argument and the answer is yes, just about every male character looks like they were chipped from a block of stone.
If he was bad at his job, he wouldn't of survived in the industry as long as he had. Because you don't like his art work, does not make it bad.
(Dexter the mutant square in background.)
A child can draw this crap. -
Quote:He IS bad at his job. His characters look like they were drawn by a child, which by the way, since you missed it, was the actual critique after the first reply.um.."art sucked" isn't a critique and wouldn't calling someone a hack imply that they're bad at their job?
Quote:I could say the same thing about the Timm-verse. -
Yes it did. Squares, rectangles, and circles with legs and faces is not "good art." If this is what you call "stylized" then I have a few drawings from my childhood that will probably "do it" for you.

I'm getting tired of this poster that produces interminable complaints about the most inane and trivial and pointless things in the game.

Quote:This happened to me when I zoned the other day.I've been logging in characters what have been inactive for some time, and I'm starting to see that anyone over, say, 100 days inactive has lost everything that was in his or her trays. All they have is the Winter Event powers (the presents) in slot 1 and slot 2 of tray 1, and that's it. All other slots in all other trays are empty.
This is at best a minor inconvenience, since I can just replace the powers back down to their slots, but it's annoying in that if I log a character in for just a few minutes, that character is almost unplayable without major maintenance. -
Wait, you mean they haven't fixed that in the revamp?

Here's a bit of trivia: All of that filler in DBZ was made because the anime and manga were being released roughly at the same time and the animation studio didn't want to outpace Akira Toriyama.

Then why are you just now complaining about it?
-
Um... and this wasn't a problem when fitness wasn't inherent why?
-
Is that a slight toward the DCAU? Because the DCAU were quality cartoons and very few cartoons today can compare. Mostly now we have cartoons designed by that hack, Tartakovsky.

I've had people buy me comics I already had as gifts, but that's not really the same as doing it myself is it? I never forget what I've already bought, so I don't do this myself.

Soloable =/= solo-only, so don't worry about that.
