Hey I can roll with it and enjoy the game. if you can't, that's your problem, not mine, and not the devs.

You're one of those guys that thinks he can boss around cops because you're a taxpayer, aren't you? Yeah, that works SO well.
Actually I'm a paying customer and I expect the product I'm buying to have some semblance of quality. Would you buy a hamburger that had only half a patty?

I have taken the vial of blood: from Montague. The blood is the cure for the Rikti virus in humans. In new words, I discovered a cure for the Lost.

Recent humans are the only terms affected.

....pretty much "spoils" the fact that Rikti are, in fact, humans.
Except it doesn't. They're talking about the Lost.

As Cathulhu points out, unless you're assuming birds are also humans in terms of H5N1, you cannot assume that Montague's arc is assuming Rikti are humans. It doesn't spoil anything.

Yeah, the Rule of Cool isn't always justified. In most instances it actually flat out sucks.

Ok, you fund them, get them more staff so they can spend the time developing massive game wide revamps just to accommodate a strict 1-50 timeline.
Lol, as a VIP, I am technically funding them.

they are updating things and bringing them into line with the 'modern' story but it takes time. The free to play model means they have to keep putting out content, which means story pushes forward and we get the patchwork method. Sorry if it doesn't grok for you, but beggars can't really be choosers.
Again, as a VIP, I'm not a beggar.

    DarkSideLeague: Incorrect.

    And... which arcs are those?

Seriously, I'm curious, as I don't remember any of them. Steven Sheridan and Levantera occur in the same level range (35 -39) where the reveal is made.

Oh, do you mean Timothy Raymond? Not only is that a grand total of one (1) arc, even though he's more in a position to know even he's uncertain of how or why. All he says is: "Something else I've remembered. Rikti: Humans. They share a common ancestry with us. Some How. Some Way."

    This logic fallacy: Bunk: Removed.

Story has always been a hodgepodge. I really don't see it being that confusing.
Event A causes Event B but Event B takes place before Event A?

Now we've got characters and plots that are crossing over and moving forward. The story is actually -developing-. And the 1-50 model just doesn't support it in the way people want.
But the Incarnate system does. As I recall, according to Positron, "the Incarnate system has no end?"

The wonderful thing is, I don't care if other people can't deal with it. The devs are going to do it how they're going to do it, and it's pretty much tough luck if you disagree. So you either have to learn to hand wave it or sit and sulk.
So terrible storytelling and inconsistency is justified by coolness? Yeah, no... I don't subscribe to that.

Except in order to actually modernize the setting, you'd have to update everything to actually reflect the change. And that's pretty prohibitive.

No, my thought is that this has to do with some new Incarnate story arc (they said we wouldn't be getting a new iTrial, but they never said anything about a new Incarnate story contact). According to Positron, the Incarnate content doesn't end, so each new arc and/or trial allows the freedom to add these developments in the storyline.

Faultline has kiddy Penny (15-25), Independence Port has modern Penny 20-25), while Lady grey's TF has the in-between. And the new SSAs start at 30, but if you have to go strictly by level they'd all be 50+. Every 'new' event would have to be 50+ without going in and retconning stuff when you make lower level content.

Leveling as a timeline doesn't work if you can't progress the level cap, ever.
Except Twinshot isn't the invasion; it actually feels more like small scale operation like a sleeper cell. Apex and Tin Mage are the actual damn invasion. Penny (Lady Grey TF should probably be retconned with the new Penny anyway) and Sutter are outliers, and the SSAs are admitted to not adhere to the level timeline and were never meant to.

But because we have two outlying mistakes, a story arc with alternate interpretations, and an alternate time line arc that never pretended to fit with the leveling arc, we should just break consistency even more? "Who cares! It's just a bunch of dumb words I don't even read anyway."

Some of us like to keep a bit of cause and effect in our progress, even if it has been on shaky ground lately.

Because it'll no longer be consistent and some of us actually care about story? You'll have Roy Cooling and Maria Jenkins fretting over the Praetorians and their invasion while Marauder's kicking it in Atlas and Cole's prisoner? All sense of immersion would be dead.
  8. Unless they plan to **** up the so-called leveling timeline even more, I doubt these "changes" will take place before the post-50 Incarnate content.

  10. Revamp one of the Hero zones (like Boomtown) and add a new Villain zone. There are several islands down south on the Rogue Islands map that I've been wondering about.
  11. Wouldn't mind seeing more tights patterns and whatever comes with them. I'd love seeing some Kirby-esque costume pieces too.

Eh, I'm usually pretty quick with re-toggling with it only taking me a few seconds, but I suppose not everyone is that quick.

There are only so many Dark/Invul Brute + Scraps or Invul/Dark Tanks anybody needs. To further say, oh, it is Dark/Invul/Nrg every time? Also, it is not an option for Brutes, the most efficient users of Invul in my opinion, they get no conserve power option. I also think Unstoppable is slightly wasted on Scrappers, due to their lower resist cap. Other than that a decent idea. Keep makin sense
I will point out that Conserve Power isn't STRICTLY needed (but it does help), that sometimes just a couple blues on hand is enough until End. recovery returns.

My guess is that Johnny just sucks at playing tanks.

I understand wanting to be overpowered.

I still cannot understand why Johnny does not play brutes when he claims they do everything that he wants his characters to do.

I swear the fix to this is for the devs to code it so Johnny's UI creates a brute when he selects tanker and just hides this from him.

Same here. My Tankers do just fine in this game. In fact, they're actually my most survivable characters.

Personally, it is my hope that the devs take the former stance, rather than the latter. Ignoring negative feedback and only listening to the positive side of things have led to some very, very poor decisions in other games.
Unfortunately the forumers appear to view it as the latter.
