had to start in safe mode with networking and start the game with windows in safe mode and it updated fine and now works.

Thanks Kheld for the reminder I had to do that the last time.

EDIT: now it updates fine but won't actually launch the game. back to square one.

It's back...

Last night It worked fine. Today it keeps trying to fix the cityofheroes.exe file.

Windows Vista Home Premium

Live works fine.
UAC turned off.

I started to have this issue so I deleted the checksum file, issue persisted.
I tried deleting just the .exe it won't let me
I copied everything but the .exe to a place holder on a different drive.
I tried deleting the entire folder, everything deletes but the .exe

I tells me I do have permission to to do anything to folder. I can't even change the name.
