The hell?! Not only are his shoulderpads goofy huge, but he also carries his chair around strapped to his back?! Okay, that's somewhere between insane and Ottoman Empire manly.

Or maybe he's fighting while sitting down. All the flames and the cloak make it hard to tell.

Well, the Perez Park Predator is going nicely. Stopping at 12, so 6 levels to go. At 12 i'll be able to handle most spawns in PP solo. He's an almost plant-like creature with iron jaws where a face should be. Sort of a bogeyman that terrorizes and punishes those who do evil in the park and the surrounding neighborhoods. Something like a vengeful spirit or avatar of the park.

Mmm, i like grits as well. It's hard to find places that make really good grits in New England.

Oh yes. Even in standard military services defying the law and the commander in chief is not allowed. Now, when the commander in chief is the one who writes the laws? Of course.

Largely irrelevant non sequitur that segues into becoming a comment on the quoted post and then reflecting on the thread as a whole.

Good idea. i completely forgot to mention that i use Repulsion Bomb primarily as an attack that does knockdown and occasionally stuns. So yeah, slotting it as a damage power that comes with a couple bonuses is the way to go if you use it.

    For FF Maneuvers>>>Repulsion Field.

Force Bubble can be a very useful power. Pushing/herding groups into corners for more effective AoE use is just one example.
  8. It's working just fine for me as well.

    i have no explanation.

Well if so far they've managed to get a substantial ROI i don't see why they wouldn't. If the investors make back their investment and get a healthy profit it doesn't matter if the game collapses 2-3 years later. By then Cryptic has moved on to their next MMOs and the money is still coming in. Eventually gamers may become leery of any game associated with Cryptic, but it's possible that could go on for many years. There have been other game publishers that continue churning out licensed games that are usually garbage for over a decade and continue to this day. Eventually Cryptic might get a bad enough reputation that new shiny syndrome won't be enough anymore, but by that point they've made their money and the investors move on...

i'd definitely agree that Black Scorpion is the easiest to take down.

And that's from at least one patch back. A patch that didn't actually aggravate the zone lockup issues it was supposed to correct. The latest patch made more zones/characters inaccessible to many players instead of fixing the zone issue (Lemuria aka Lagmuria) it was intended to address.

Increased damage output counters regen just as effectively as regen debuffs do, even more so if you have enough damage, so there's not any actual need for -regen if Shivans hit hard enough, and the way they tear into enemies normally, when -regen is a non-factor, i'm going to go with the added damge.

It's been observed many times before that Shivans are borderline OP, which is why i like them so much.

Well, if we're talking about real-world, competent drive-by shootings, then you do in fact stop long enough to shoot. Attempting to fire while driving at speed usually results in anything but the target getting hit; assuming you hit anything at all.

Sorry, but your answer must be in the form of a Dev currently employed at Paragon Studios. (Admittedly the offer does not specify that. Quite an oversight.)
Also, Jack Emmert was far from worthless, regardless of what you may think of his communications prior to the buyout. During CoH's development he was in charge of all of the good things that keep people playing to this day, even if he also did and said things that weren't as good, so he can hardly be called worthless.
  19. Regarding the thread title: So basically this is an opportunity to take a whiz on that other game?

    ....
Wait, Shivans have -regen? i always thought they just had -def and high damage output in their attacks. Which attack has -regen in it?

It has been postulated by Westley in the general discussion forums that it seems somewhat suspicious that a lot of people with low post counts and join dates no later than about two years ago are starting various whinge/doom threads, never posting again after the first post, then starting a similar thread in another section, and this is all happening right as Cryptic announces an expansion.

Perhaps it's a plot. Or just a particularly venal sort of astroturfing.

You are very obviously not a programmer. Anyway, merging games would be monumental effort. Even if you could get the various companies and development teams to agree to doing it it would still be a task worthy of Sisyphus since you would have to reconcile vastly different database structures and game mechanics since no game would be willing to give up the mechanics that their players have come to know and expect. It would be as difficult to balance as the conversion systems that have been used by pen and paper RPGs, but it would have to be done constantly, in real time. Amusing gedankenexperiment, but not actually practical.

Their misery is more bittersweet and far more solid, chunky even, than ours. They really didn't have to try importing it here on my account since i've been getting all i could want over at the CO forums.
