lets not forget that it's not just MMs pets that are affected by the melee bug. Other pets like Phantoms, which also do not have any melee attacks, also run into melee range

However... brain missed a cycle and I had to re-read that... are you saying that the programming is done at a completely separate site from where the servers are stationed? Is the compiled code physically transferred from site A to B (You said the code can't just be e-mailed), or is it still electronically transferred, but the ENTIRE codebase is transferred every time? I can't pretend to know how things are set-up there, but it sounds terribly inefficient, and I can easily think of several ways to improve the efficiency of the system. -

It's to do with Manticore's poison arrow after effects being immortal and not dissipating, and so is still considered as a threat. Just happened to me

because it means they are actually doing something to either a) add content or b) patch stuff, both of which are good things

I'm guessing you have the same gui colour for all characters. I have completely different colours for each. The first character I log in with has the default colour, when I change it to the custom colour, log out and then log into another character, it retains the previous character's custom colour, and so on...

as a workaround I've set window colour macros for all of my characters using the "window_color x x x x" slash command -
considering both sides have their own portal areas in the 40-50 zones, why not add in a Shard portal to GV that allows Villains to zone to an Arachnos base on one of the other floating land masses in FBZ, or even to the main FBZ staging area.

yup, been a member of AO's forum for 6+ years, which currently runs on 3.8.6, and have never ever had the login issue in that time

Bug management and resolution is a tedious, boring, resource-hungry necessity with any program. -
I've just set a window colour macro to each of my characters, so when I log in to each I can quickly reset it to the colour I wanted - waste of a tray slot, maybe, but at least it doesn't make it a huge issue now

I just hope that this complete neglect of the forums is due to a new improved version being developed. If not, then they should fire whoever maintains it, because a dead horse could maintain a healthy life with far better success.
