An obvious fix/change would be to make an automatic merit deduction if you do any mission at -1, as well as a non-master available. Even ignoring the STF/LRSF/masters, running TF's at all -1 is going to have a big affect on the times of the runs, which will have an eventually affect on the merits.
Really confused with wtf they were thinking on including this setting.

Oh, and on the raid last night?
Who's bright idea was it to have non-level 50 team leaders?

And what the heck is with the -1 setting?
What is this, just so people can cheese/rush TF's easier? Why do I have the feeling that this is going to lead to a merit nerf.

As I said, the previous ranking system in the old forums was removed for a good reason; and THAT didn't even let you leave "anonymous" messages.
I went around and checked other characters that used to have numpad numbers bound to selectteammate+02boost or veng (all those had been changed to select only a long time ago) but they were all fine.
This character was the only one with a screwjob numpad going on. Annoyed that I had to reset all binds; fortunately, know how to type, so I could redo them all in a few minutes. Only thing was remembering the syntax for numpad - and +.

Vood; I thought the person who wasn't sure if they'd get merits was a level 50 who hadn't done the intro arc.
Never saw the repairmen before either.

I am MASSIVELY digging how my fire/rad controller and fire/thermal corruptor are now looking. Funny how something like changing the colors can make a character so much enjoyable.
I really hope they continue with this. I'd love to be able to turn off the glowing on MA/SS attacks, practice brawler, unstoppable, power pools, etc.
All the new animations for ss are very well done. And I'd freaking KILL for new animations for the eye and mouth based attacks; especially for rad, fire, and ice.

I got "not helpful typical forum cartel."
Still wondering how long till they remember why they removed the first rep system. -
No one tell him about Phipps. :0

Well. Totally reset my binds. That appears to have worked.

Correction:
Options loaded from file d:/games/City of Heroes/options.txt
Options saved to d:/games/City of Heroes/options.txt
Getting that in system tab. It should be noted that I never use the save file; was expecting there to be a pop up or something.
EDIT:
Through it should also be noted that making changes, saving to a file, then reloading doesn't appear to do anything.

Saving / loading to a file doesn't appear to be working. Not sure if that's related to the current problem.

Four year old fire/therm corruptor, been sitting at level 39 for near three years.
Previously, I had numpad1-8 set to select teammate + powec Thaw.
I finally decided to respec and IO out this character and make a push to 50. Changed the numpad binds to select teammate only.
But every time I zone, they 2/3's of them switch back to select+thaw. But they're all random. 1 selects person 4, 2 selects 2, 3 selects nothing, etc. Only the numpad 1-8 is getting junked.
Any suggestions? Never had anything like this happen.

ITF is usually a pretty easy one to get off the ground. Just shout out in Victory Forum and Victory Badges.

Hmmm. Could always try uninstalling and installing your video drivers. You're not trying to run this through Steam, by chance?
Also, the Technical Issues and Bugs is probably a better place to look for help for this type of issue.

Quote:I wouldn't waste a costume token on such a low level character; the amount of money you're saving is so minor. High leveled characters are where the costume changes are nutzo; 2 million inf to change your level 50's hair! Bah.LOL... that is me too. I already used three free tokens on my new lvl 12 Iso toon alone! Just a little more adjustment...
But I haven't even tried the mission slider and Voo mentioned traps and a mastermind... I may have to try that with my lvl 50 bots/traps.
I love the new spines look too. I never made one since I didn't like, as someone said, the banana look. But now...
I love this issue!

You should have made allegations of his relationship with his parents and then kicked him from the team.

Previously, my characters do all task forces when they were at the upper range of the TF. I'd only exemp with a task force with a level 50 character; this was both for merits and to give me an opportunity to play the level 50 again.
Now? When any character can get xp when exemping? I honestly don't know what I'm going to do now. Use this to concentrate more on leveling the current/newer character? Continue playing like always?

Previously, I would always match up my powersets so they'd look good together. Fire/fire balster, en/en blaster, ice/ice blaster, elec/elec blaster, etc etc. I just couldn't stand powers that didn't look like they belonged together. I even deleted a level 20 or so fire/rad controller partially because of this once.
Now, with color customizations? My God is the anal retentive freak in my loving this. My new fire/rad controller for Isolators? The fire and rad powers now mesh together beautifully and look like they BELONG together.
Oh, and storm? Storm wins the award for The Powerset that Should be Banned From Customizing It's Colors. Mother of God can you make some horrible looking storm effects that will cover the entire room in yellow.

Quote:You too look the same. Why is this directed at me? Ele and I really are different people >.> I think he meant this (Isolators) was fun. He usually lets me PL him through the first while because it's hard to find competent players on the fly at super low levels.
The tanking was a little difficult with two scrappers running lightning field and I only chilling embrace; I had to Des ahead just to get initial aggro. Never taken taunt this early before, and I'm loving the free end cost on it now.

This is also to keep people from pulling the 'ole "Oh, I dc'ed 'accidently' through no fault of my own and never managed to log back on but I still get full reward lol" trick.

Well, we also wasted a bit of time street sweeping in Atlas to get a last tap to 5 to go into KR. In hindsite, should have done the street sweeping in KR.
Ryxx; low level teaming is always a different experience. Especially red side; most of us never even KNEW there were boss level Infected.

In City of Heroes you can make pretty much an eight man team of any AT and still have it viable.
When you're just starting out, I really suggest using a Scrapper. It's the most soloable AT, is generally forgiving of mistakes due to having defense/resistances/mez protection, and had good damage output. This makes it a good platform for learning a lot of the game mechanics.
Since Tuesday, they revamped the way teams work, so generally any level character can team with any other without a huge hindrance.
On chat... In the guide section, there's a few good player made guides. If you right click on your chat tabs, you can add/remove the chat types that you have per tab or even create a new tab. Generally, for communicating, you're going to want Local, Team, Broadcast, Request, Private Messages, and later Supergroup and Coalition (if you join a supergroup).
Also, try looking into the Global Chat guides. There's several good Global Chat channels for game discussion / teaming, most notable Victory Forum.

It's just that the right arm and the chest symbol make it look extra bad.
