I finally got to the point where I was just carrying too many of the damn things on a couple of alts that I play a fair bit. Only having 7-10 free recipe slots on a toon with 34 of the damn things is a little tedious when you need to stop every 10 minutes to delete temp power and generic recipes. However, pretty much all of my 50's had one or two purples in their tray.

So I decided to sell up.

    All of them.

No 'Ah, but I might need that' get out clauses. All purples must die from all my toons. I was never going to use any of them anyway, since I'm not keen on their set bonuses, and there's a reasonable possibility of the prices dropping in the medium to long term due to more people playing 50's with the incarnate system imminent, so it's as good a time as any.

This was Tuesday/Wednesday of last week.

Before this happened, I had four and a half toons at the inf cap, courtesy of my Generic IO manufacturing and selling routine.

Now that all bar about two of the purples have sold?

Oopsie. And there're a few more toons with liquid assets in the 250-700M inf range.

Now that I can afford anything I might want, I find I don't actually want anything. (also known as a Vienna moment, as in Ultravox (about 1:20 in) - 'This means nothing to me, Ohhh Vienna....')

I've almost totally stopped my Generic IO sales routine, because well, what's the point now?

(OK, so this post is about 50% legitimate comment and 50% gloat, but hey, what other use do I have for the inf, other than gloating... I gave about 600M of it away because, well, Vienna.)

I've got one alt with a half-baked IO setup, and even with that, she's hideously effective by my standards, (MA/Shield Scrapper, at the lower right of the composite screenshot, defences at 44%melee, 42%range, 34%aoe, enough recovery to fight more or less constantly.) the others are a mix of SO's, Generic IO's and occasional IO sets from when I could be bothered. I find the process of putting together an IO build to be a complete faff on, so I don't bother, because I don't need to.

Anyway, this has been a 'Look how Ebil I am!' gloat post combined with a bit of random waffle, and a side order of 'What now?'.

    Later, folks
You can always sell superdyne to little children and make lots of money!

It'd be nice if Castle could change that for Regeneration, when you die the current recharge time is halved so they recharge some what faster in order to compensate for using those powers and dying.
  4. I see a lot of primaries benefiting from the AS, having a lot more recharge will allow people to obtain the necessary recharge without needing recharge bonuses which can allow them to focus on other aspects of their builds.

It's not that Stamina is now going to be inherent that is the problem. It's that it doesn't add any more endurance benefit to characters that already have it, while affording them more powers to use endurance on. It's spreading what little endurance we already had even thinner.
That isn't true, a small example, my Dark/Shield scrapper Murcielago now has a higher recovery rate, has Dark Consumption and Conserver Power while increasing his endurance consumption by a marginal amount. Having inherent Fitness has made his endurance problems non existent.
  6. Not really, go stand it a +0x8 group with 0 defense to every type/position and see how long you'll last. DP and IH will not be enough to keep you alive.
  7. Its personal preference some people prefer CoF over OG, personally I don't like CoF due to its high endurance costs.
  8. I'm not seeing how you're getting a few of those numbers, regen and recov are lower than what you're stating, what do you have slotted in health and stamina? Otherwise it is a great build.
  9. Meh just ban the people who make the farms, makes decisions a lot easier.

However, you got you some IOs, so give an Indian Burn and BAM! You have defeated Porter. However, while they are all dead, how do you pass the time for 30 minutes? I take out my Imps, don't let them have a bubble, and let them die...slow...

Not saying that I'm not glad they made MoG no longer a complete pile of suck. I just find that if things are heading downhill fast, Instant Healing does way more for me.
Not even close, without significant defense bonuses, IH isn't any where near a god mode power, its regeneration increase can be over came pretty easily in PvE and PvP.
  12. Will MoG and SM be detrimental to a characters DPS? They both have long animation times.

  15. Passive regeneration: 500% +/- 30%
Recovery: That depends on how many toggles you're running but I'd say around 3.8 end/s should be more than enough.
  16. I'd even take 500% passive regeneration if it meant I could have IH as a toggle.

Hell yes I would, I hate how clicky Regeneration is. I would love if they reduced the amount of click powers to two or three at most.

A sorcerer who wields magic-- not so much. Accordingly, I currently slot for endurance usage and take advantage of the various recovery bonuses available through IOs on most of my characters.

However, in a short amount of time, that will all be moot. The concept of 'Endurance Management' goes out the window and the newly re-retooled Inherent Fitness Pool is here to stay.

Unlike many of you, I'll only have a handful of characters who need to respec around inherent fitness. Most of my characters will simply have a handful of new slots in which to drop a single IO. I've embraced the change and have been working for Numina's, Miracle, and Performance Shifter procs to drop in to place when the day arrives. (Tuesday, maybe?)

Interestingly, I've still run into a few odd situations with my respecs:

    - My Cold/Dark defender has a Miracle proc slotted in Frostwork. I've mentioned to teammates that this is to 'keep me honest' so that I hand out Frostwork as often as possible. Reworking my defender's build to move that Miracle over into Inherent Health has left me genuinely worrying about changes I might make or need to make to my playstyle.

    - My archery/psi blaster has a Numina's proc in Drain Psyche. It's otherwise slotted with Numina's and Efficacy Adapter for Franken-slotted fun. Breaking up the set of Numina's, however, will leave me without the 12% regeneration bonus having a pair of them grants. I'm either going to have to work in another Numina's IO or rethink my slotting entirely.

    - Likewise, my Dark/Invulnerability scrapper has a Numina's proc in Siphon Life. She's also heavily optimized for 'Necromancer' type play-- depending on taps and drains for a great deal of her survivability. While moving the Numina's to Inherent Health, my initial testing showed that she still gets some distance out of it that play style. Still, I'm not entirely sure that having inherent fitness won't make it rather redundant. I'm going to have to test several builds before I come to a conclusion one way or the other.

If you're speccing from a fitnessless build to a build with inherent fitness, what difficulties have you run in to?
12% passive regeneration on a Mental Blaster won't make much difference. You'd be hard press to notice a difference in survivability.
