..now just need to come up with a name ...

Cosmic Power toon are fun to play ..in the right setting .. i have made and played two such Toons .. but have only RPed them in suitable company .. one started of as a way to "deal" with CP toons in Pok D..in a light hearted mannor using the most evil weapon of agreeing with them ..

for everyday RP , CP toons are a major problem .. and tend to negate most plots or story lines ..

I also hold the view that there are CP toon , that are CP not because they have passed the peak of power usage ..and now their fire bolt can cut a rikit mothership in half .. but because of the vast width of their powers and assests ...they are so rich they can buy islands , big ones , they have personal AI, personal armies , homes ((not bases)) that are the most well defened thing on the planet , they have the ear of the goverment , UN , Vanguard , longbow , and Malta . they are untouchable by legal system ..are one first name terms with Statesman and his crew.. These are often worse than the " i am a god " toon

Clearly we need to set up the ..Home for Powered Persons that have crossed the threshold and are now just to big for the universe day care complex ...

Hmm i think in the CoXverse there is to many and to wide a range of "powered" for any Hate faction to find a focus ... in the X-men ( talking films here as most will have seen them ) all the Powered are mutants , and a clear divison between them and us is possible ....In Spiderman ..the anit-spidey faction has a single clear target ...

In the CoXverse there is such a range of Powered to hate them all would be like saying ..i do not like sport ..except snooker . ..and water polo ...well hang on what about swiming ..is that a sport if you do it on your holidays or to stop your self drowning ..

However , saying to Hate the Powered is Stupidnot a reason to prevent such hate , a person is smart , people are very very stupid ..as history shows us over and over again .
If you can find a focus you can direct peoples attention . Label the Powered as Demonic , or Communist or racial impure , or supporters of the wrong football team ..and you can start building the hate .


Back to the OP question ..yes i have a Toon with backstory elements of being hated .. a obvious Mutant .

Nathan Vicks sat in the cheap plastic chair the PPD provided , the worn surface of the table held a new crisp PPD report .. Vicks opened the folder and carefully read from page one to its end , his eyes never leaving the pages... he closed the folder and his eyes , sitting silent for a few minutes .

With slow movements he pulled a brand new notepad from his jacket , and ,with a similarly pristine pencil , reopened the folder . Again from page one he interrogated the PPD report , this time he made notes , the only sound of pen on paper as another hour passed ..


Vick next turned to a fresh sheet in the note book and began to shape his thoughts ...

1.Where the bodies hidden in the bush , or just dumped ..
2.clothing ..parent of kids choice of style , quality /age of clothing
3.content of pocket ..typical kids , or anything odd.
4.Teeth ..signs of regular dental checks
5.the Symbol..what sort of paint , what level of skill needed to reproduce the symbol , would it have been painted on a resisting person .


Vicks , left the room and made his way to the toilet , to freshen up ..the atmosphere in the station worried him , he lingered at the main desk , slowly filling a contact form , requesting to be updated if the PPD uncovered any new facts ..he dragged this out waiting for the shift to change ..

Using a talent for shadowing Vicks let the off duty cops lead him to their local drinking hole,
hoping alcohol might let slip a few more facts .., an hours of this used up Vicks slim funds

..next would be the park , reconnaissance of the ground and maybe a chat to the locals.. Gemini Park would have its collection of homeless and street people ...

The PPD desk Sergeant looked up , and was not impressed by the figure before her , her lips started to form a snide comment , when she noticed the Hero licence ..giving the figure a second look, she still failed to be impressed .. a ordinary looking guy in a old worn jacket ...” yes Sir ..” she managed with a degree of civility ...

do we know , yet, if in game Vigilantes will be classed as criminals by the PPD and Paragon agencies ?..thus meaning for RP secret ID's will be more important ..?

IMHO Vigilante at the most basic level is someone who operates outside of the existing criminal law enforcement organisation/s .They seek to punish law breakers who have , by what ever means , not been punished by the societies system .

This means they hold the societies criminal code to be the rule of Law , and the target of their vigilantism is a clear cut law breaker , in other words the Vigilante is not making up their own , new , laws .

Which then moves on to the punishment fitting the crime . In the Cox world I don’t think we at looking at the repeat offending of getting a parking ticket , more it is a case the major crime boss , the untouchable assassin , the crazy scientist , the Psychopathic billionaire , the corrupt City hall official . These being the sort to have committed crimes on such a scale and/or being so beyond the power of the courts that there is zero chance of them serving time in the Zig , thus the punishment become death . Unless the Vigilante has their own Zig on their private island /space station / alternative Earth .

A Vigilante will admit that they are guilty of breaking the law , that there actions are there own and not justified by some other means , and that they would stop if the legal system worked as it is intended to .

It should also go with out saying that the Vigilante should not gain anything by their actions .


To answer Tech ‘s “Who says the Vigilante's are actually wrong?”

The simple answer is everyone .. as they are breaking the codes of the society that they live in , remember where Paragon is …

…and in other news.. Molly “execute” Longstaff is again in the spotlight …PPD report attended a breaking in to the Longstaff Tech Office building early this morning ..

At around 3:20am the Police responded when the on site security guards reported coming under fire , from what turned out to be a “beanbag” stun gun … no one was hurt …

First indications are that persons unknown entered the administrative offices of Longstaff Tech and targeted the main work area ….there is no information as to what , if anything was stolen , but some damage to the rooms was reported …

We hope to get to speak to Longstaf Tech spokes person on this matter when one is available ..
