The pillbox badge is also setup poorly in that it encourages *not* using the pillbox once you've taken it. If you're after the badge, the best thing to do is release the box to go find another (or to trade it off and take it again).
This seems odd to encourage not playing the game.

A tall bookcase is exactly 2 levels deep, so that's a pit with 256 bookcases carefully arranged in it. I originally wanted to make a firepit out of torches using a combination of bookcases and floor torches (which are also exactly 2 levels deep if you subtract the flame), but it didn't look nearly as good as I thought it would.

I would like to see some controls put on the permissions options for storage, such as how much of something a person could take. I'd hate for an unhappy person to raid our storage and run off on us. However I'd like to be able to give everyone access to the storage items for them adding stuff to them. This is especially true when it comes to slavage. if someone runs off with 200 pieces of important salvage this could be devastating to a group.

In japan, respect for blades is emphasized originally because steel and iron were rare, and the blades created by smiths had to be top notch or else they'd be a waste of metal. Over time legends began to develop about katana having their own souls (actually, in shintoism, everything from trees to bobby pins have souls) and some would gain sentience. The most infamous are swords crafted by Muramasa, which were frequently used as killing implements and were thus regarded as demonic in nature.
My character, Sacred East Wind, has a blade that takes that approach.
Rensai (It has a longer name but i hate typing it, oh and it's not a real blade, i've just been using it in my creations for a while) was fashioned using the most modern of methods: a nearly indestructible alloy, plus sharpening with lasers. The sword didn't begin to gain sentience til it began slaying demons. The "Greatest Story Ever Told" thread has a lot of info about it, but once it leaves that story for good it'll lose a lot of its power. Basically it's the pinnacle of technology, science, and magic, combined with Sacred's ungodly training involving blades, and it's a weapon to TRULY be feared.
If you don't know how to use it, it's just a fancy giant sized kitchen knife though, like all swords.

Mines kinda like that too, its a cross breed(aka a hybrid)sword, it was originaly a holy sword givin to knight, Unit 428(aka The Knight of Iron Star) has the technology to make any exsisting weapon more durable, power, etc, through nano technology, when the nanites started to changed the sword, the swords supernatural/holy energy fused with the nanites, now it has a beam cannon in the middle of it and its also a double blade or a double edge sorry but my info on swords inst all tht good, but anyway.... -

We all have bio's and info and back storys on our heroes and villains but what about thier weapons, aka broad swords, maces, axes, etc... I'll start off with mine, my toon, the Knight of Iron Star has a broad sword that was built using a supernatural metal made by a magc blacksmith, knight being an 8ft tall robot built from alien millitary technology, nano bots inside knight transformed the broad sword into magic/technology hybrid capable of firing energy shots at a target, it has ancient ruins and gear paterns grafted into the blade, anyone else?

I understand that a key argument/assumption the anti-Isolators have held is that it would take "too much time and effort" for the Devs to implement a "fix" for Isolator. I also understand that the mere existence of RV Isolator fundamentally dismisses that argument because, well, there now -is- a fix for it of sorts. That's fine.
But I would offer that the pro-Isolators have at best a Pyrrhic victory with RV Isolator because a reasonable solution to the problem has in fact proven to actually -be- a "waste of the devs time" as far as they seem to be concerned. They didn't put any significant effort to address the problem in a balanced, thoughtful way at all and that's the real tragedy here.
Long before CoH went live I'm sure the Devs developed editing tools that would simplify their ability to establish MOBs in zones and missions - little GUIs perhaps that let them set spawn points, critter types and levels, spawn frequencies and so on. I'm sure they've used these tools so many times that the average Dev could probably set up a new MOB spawn in a zone in the quick matter of a few seconds.
To think that after well over a year of people arguing about Isolator in the forums, people deciding whether or not to throw hundreds of hours away on rerolls and people coming up with numerous workable scenarios that could've provided positive solutions for everyone concerned that were seemingly ignored, it all came down to a couple of quick RV MOB spawn defines that for all it took could've been done within the first minute of Issue 2 going live in some back corner of AP long forgotten by this point.
The sad idea that people like Beef_Cake have claimed that they've already defeated many dozens of Contaminated since I2 in various 'buggy' mission spawns only screams for that extra little step in logic that if these little buggers were already slipping out of Outbreak it could've been so simple to have just let it happen 'for real' long ago. Gods how much happier this forum would've been if those little misspawns had been intended all along.
It astounds me that people here in both the pro and anti Isolator camps continue to sling arrows at each other over this when it's painfully clear that A) the Devs allowed the pre-I2 toon Isolator problem to happen, B) the Devs let the problem linger and pretended it didn't exist then finally C) in a tacit admittal of the mistake lowered themselves enough to twitch their pinkies on their mice to click a few GUI buttons calling that a day.
Does no one else see that that Devs have laughed at us -all- over this? No one here really got what they wanted, and we all got to see how they are willing to patronizingly handle the concerns of its player base. People with valid arguments for why badges shouldn't be tinkered with as well as the toon rerollers got brushed aside, and people who pleaded for so long for a sensible solution for the original Isolator oversight got slapped with one of the most insanely simpleminded yet diabolical schemes one could have imagined for this game. Basically no one -won- anything here...

Like I have previously mentioned in this very thread, the devs have made the decision to put it back in, on test, and it will presumably go to live in a couple of weeks when I7 does. I could see myself having further discussions on the idea why it was bad to put in with several pro-isolators, because it would be civil and intelligent. I hate to inform you that you do not fall under that category.

The only people who have an honest, legitimate (in my opinion), reason for asking for Isolator to be put back in outside of OutBreak are those that rolled up their characters prior to I2. Badges were implimented in I2 (I think) and people who rolled up prior to that and who wanted badges had no way (short of re-rolling) of getting it.
Everyone else had the opportunity.

Okay, 2 summerize those 2 threads, number 1: An incident in the hollows, IE a server glitch caused many ppl to go into the hollows showing how desperatly how bad they want the badge.
number 2:Someone posted an idea on how lvl 50's should get isolater and how a few ppl said it was a waste of the devs time, I think it was a good idea for isolator, anyway thier are contaminated in rv, so what, I bet your gonna be hunting them too, all I see are pluses for leting ppl have a second chance at getting isolator.

There were a number of minuses that people pointed out in those threads as well. I know because I pointed some of them out. (Disclaimer, I will also admit to being a bad netizen in those threads as well and directing it towards flamesville at times).
That being said, the discussion of this is moot as the devs have made the decision that, on I7 test at least, there is at least one contaminated wandering around RV.
With someone interested in discussion, I would gladly go through and pick out the negative points. However, from the tone of some of your posts, I do not believe that a reasonable discussion will take place about the negative points of putting Contaminated outside of Outbreak.

According to the forums over at vidiotmaps.com, the TV gives the badge: Media Junkie - Destroy Books - Lvl 45-50 - Contact: TV - Zone: Grandville
Oh and it gets better. Apparantly this badge is required for the immobilize pistol, the villain version of the Crey pistol.
I think it is absurd to make people choose between loyalty to their SG (staying in SG mode and earning prestige) or getting an accolade power (earning the inf badge to unlock the TV). Surely a different badge could be used to unlock the TV if its badge is necessary for an accolade?

Or make it so you can earn influence/infamy past lvl 25-35, sry I forgot the cap lvl for it, or make personal presitge badges to make it worth it or make it so prestige goes towards the money badges or cut reduce all the requirements for the moneys to 1/3rd. -
