Hey Protector! I've posted something like this each year, and I think I am late this year - usually I post it before your Thanksgiving. (Happy Thanksgiving btw!)
T'is the season for giving!
Please don't forget your local Food Bank this holiday season. If you can spare a few non-perishable items to drop off in your local grocery store's food bank box, please do so. Or, make a pet food donation to the local animal shelter (a bag of 'nip wouldn't be unloved! Or, a few dog treats!). Or drop an unwrapped toy off to a local shelter or charity for a child who won't be expecting Santa to visit. Donate to Coats for Kids. Call the local school and see if they participate in any kind of drive for families around Christmas. Drop off a few warm blankets or hats/scarves/mitts at the local shelter. Donate to the local soup kitchen. Give some money to the Salvation Army Santa. Or, since we're all gamers, donate to Child's Play and give a sick kid in the hospital a better day.
There are so many little things you can do to help someone less fortunate, and it all adds up. It doesn't take much to help spread the magic of the season, and make someone's day a lot brighter. -

Quote:Honestly, I look for the initial announcement in the forum and then show up when it's announced. Willing to bet that this is how a lot of people play it too. Set a 30 minute cutoff. If people aren't there at half-past, call the event. It creates minimal wasted time and sets a trend for people to be timely in showing up.
Why bother to wait 30 minutes for people to show up when you've already announced it's canceled on the boards? -
Quote:And I see this after I take the trouble to snag nukes.
Oh well.
Someone drop me a tell if a raid is actually going to go off one of these days.
What's the shelf life on nukes, anyhow?
Go enjoy the raidless weekend, leaders! Run a TF with some friends, or work on levelling a toon you really enjoy playing, experiment with a new powerset combo! You've earned it, and the Hive/Abyss will still be there next week! -
I'd think maybe most new players would be going through the Praetoria arcs. A brand new player who purchased Going Rogue with the full CoH has to start out in Praetoria;they dont have to stay there long, but new players may not know that. Is there a way to hold your event in Praetoria instead?

Let's do this tonight. I SHOULD be able to do it this evening, barring friends coming to kidnap me to get me out of the house.
I was thinking around 7 EST. Short notice, but hey, RL has me up in the air right now and this is when I should be able to do it.
So, I was thinking we meet in the Library @ Steel, then head to Dark Astoria to see if Adamastor is there. Then, we can either ToT, or follow the slew of zombie attacks around the zones. -

Quote:Not really sure, I've had some Real Life pop up and haven't given it a lot of thought.I loved this idea on chat, sounds fun! Any level / zone in particular?
I was thinking of starting it in the Graveyard in Dark Astoria though... I mean seriously, where else would you start a Buffyverse theme night?! -
Quote:I like this idea.
There's a lot of great characters to draw upon. Except for those silent floating guys. . .That episode creeped me out!
You mean The Gentlemen?
(btw that episode, Hush, was the only one that got an Emmy nod for Outstanding Writing... )
There are so many good ideas popping into my head for this... I already have a Dark Willow costume, and I was thinking of several more... and maybe even a Whedonverse themed TF or something. -
I was thinking of doing a ToT door-knocking extravaganza, but themed.
The theme: The Buffyverse!
Let me know if you're interested - I was thinking about doing it sometime this week in the evening.

Like I said before, it's just debt. It goes away fast enough.
No worries! -

Quote:So the weekend immediately after the Halloween event ends, the Rikti attempt to invade again (Nov 4-7).
No rest for the wicked, nor the heroic either.
Running the Numina TF will be... interesting.
Bwahahahaha! No way man, I learned my lesson this weekend with regards to Numina and zone events! -

Quote:As I am the one who checked the line and verified there were only 8 and invited all the contestants. Were you on the platform with the other female contestants? I am not saying I could not have made a mistake, however there were 4 of us who were checking the area.
You mean the post you posted in multiple times. Someone could of bumped it, I will give you that, however it was here for a few weeks. Obviously you were not that interested in attending or you would of made a point of taking note. Also, for time conversion. They are stated as being in eastern. If you feel so strongly about PERC policy, volunteer, we need Protector reps.

If this is the number of people who are interested... we almost have enough for two full teams!
How long does this TF usually take, anyhow? -
Quote:I'd think that if you ran a Lady Grey with all heroes, it'd spawn in the hero zones, villains only in a villain zone, and a mixed, maybe both? But also according to the wiki, it is also "Depending on the make up of the team completing the task force".
This is the info that the OP was going off of in a previous thread (my fault). I couldn't find anything to support this statement, so I went ahead and changed the wiki info. -
Quote:Yep...Was thinking there was no proven rhyme or reason to it, that it was just random.
According to Paragon Wiki
Quote:Editor's Note:
Upon completing this mission, a Rikti Invasion will be triggered in a random city zone.
