I was taught in my Bronze Age archaeology class that tartan of two colors was fairly widespread, seen even in China. Tartan in Celtic countries often signified where you were from, or what rank you were. It was only in relatively recent history that particular setts were assigned to particular families.
As a person of Celtic descent, I am glad to have the kilt. I don't generally play male characters, but I am considering one now! -
*jaw hits floor*
NOOO!!!
You are a wild and witty woman, and will be much missed. Best wishes on your new assignment.

Echoing a previous poster here. I tested with 2 different characters, my level 28 bots/FF mastermind and my level 20 en/en brute. 2 different experiences of the Mayhem mission.
Mastermind had a reasonable time until I got into the bank. I had noticed the bots were a little slow to respond but thought nothing of it. Well, the process of getting into the doors was a chore. They came in very slowly it took probably 3-4 minutes for them to get in and decide they were really 'there'.
Proceed to cause destruction and pop the vault, still ok. The hero shows up, and I was down in 2 shots. Ok, I can take defeat. End up in the jail, it took me quite a while to get the door down, and then the bots ran off. So I find the door and leave, telling the bots to follow. They take an age but finally do. At this point I have maybe 5 minutes on the clock, but I figure I will go back to the bank and try the hero again.
The bots take a fit at the bank door, they zone in and refuse to leave the door. They won't follow me, won't attack. I ran to the hallway with the hero and TP'd them into his aggro range - and they ran back to the door. Luckily the clock ran out and I got booted.
So the pets issue is a big one and needs fixing badly. Also the Protector bots have decided they are not healers either, and refuse to repair their mates.
Now the Brute had no trouble, in fact I had a glorious time wreaking havoc. My new favorite thing is pounding on payphones til they jingle.
So my mastermind will not be rushing to another one anytime soon, but my brute is looking forward to I7 hitting live. -
How wonderful!
Thanks so much for doing that JanLee! -
Awww, you will be much missed Alexa. Best of luck in your future ventures!
Stay evil! -
Just a thank you, Statesman. You have given me back some measure of faith.
Regards, Riot Girl and the my crew of cranky middle aged gamers. -
I think there are just a few too many of them. One of the casino heists I had so many I could hardly get across the room.

Excellent news! my small SG/VG (small group of rl friends with jobs and families) has been playing daily since CoV hit and we have only managed to earn around 300,000 prestige. Kind of demoralizing.
Will we be able to 'convert' the base we already have to the new one? Honestly, I wish I hadn't bought it, but everyone was very excited..... -
Thank you very much. The vast array of sliders was causing me unease!

I wish you well on your new projects Gil. Always enjoyed the articles and the posts explaining/debunking the mythos surrounding the game. You will be much missed.

I am so glad Cim got her thread back! It's nice to be able to read one where people aren't ripping each other apart.
I have my picture of Cim up next to my monitor, so she can oversee all the happenings on the Protector server. That and she is just sooo cute!
We may take a trip over the mountains and go see Cimmi in person in September.
Best wishes to everyone! -
I did extensive testing with my level 36 blaster (eng/eng) over the weekend. What I found is at her level once she hits the area on the health bar that activates Defiance, she is already dead. I had hoped I'd be able to get off a 'parting shot' at least, but activation times, villain attack speed, alignment of the stars are not in my favor. I have NEVER lived long enough to profit from this idea. Very disappointing, especially in light of the loss of any defense I had gleaned from Stealth.
Just for grins I rolled up a new blaster, and Defiance does seem to be helpful in the early levels. But where my main is now, no. I am going to respec and keep trying, but her rising debt numbers are driving me to consider shelving her. -
Totally agree. The events need to happen with greater frequency. THis is something the game badly needs, a little more rambunctiousness!
