    Bind question

I wanted to set up some inspiration combining binds to the movement keys but I use the arrow keys rather then wasd. Would I insert say "up arrow" in place of "w" to make the bind work correctly for me?

Ok. Just tried in game. didnt work.

    /bindw "+forward$$inspcombine insight enrage$$inspcombine luck enrage$$inspcombine catch_a_breath enrage$$inspcombine respite enrage$$inspcombine sturdy enrage$$inspcombine break_free enrage$$inspcombine awaken enrage"
  3. My reasoning behind the suggestion isnt to buff tankers solo through use of their own powers. It's to buff their potential thats gained through buffs from the team they are protecting or the red inspirations they are hoarding.

Tankers would be getting a boost. It may not be the best one but its still a considerable something to have.

Maybe its just me, but I wouldnt just drop from a team just cause of what it was made up of. Seems kind of rude and lame.

Because the boost is probably significant and they dont want you to have that always. Can we make power boost an auto as well?

Not sure if this is some when pigs fly snark or if your genuinely saying your ok with them having a higher cap.

As for everyone else commenting about my previous post, I just figured it would be a way to throw tankers a bone without giving them too much.
  10. In before JB mentions Tanks.
  11. Hopefully no one berates me over this but is it really so horrible if tanks got a higher damage cap? The tank still doesnt have fury and conceptually I dont see why they are in the lowest tier. If it was up to me I'd just give them the extra 100% potential. Not like they are always going to putting out that extra 100%. And if JB is still complaining even after that, well, we'll all just pretend he doesnt exist.

It's no threat, but I have been seriously considering yanking my monthly sub every time I see a promotion of this type and I am getting that much closer to hitting that button to remove my card from auto-bill. I'm sure there are many that will go to that extreme if they too get tired of this type of slap in the face, as that is how I see it.

Someone already said it and it's true other games that have tried this method could afford the loss of some of their players, CoX is not one of them that could afford to loose many. They might think so with the introduction of the PM even if the subs go premium. I tell you this though: the day my account(s) go free I will not make a single purchase on the market and CoX will be more for casual play, because I would have moved on to something else and paying that company my CoX sub fee.

Agree. The moment they release something that would be "vital" for my main and my chances of having said item is near impossible It would really cause some distaste for the game. Luckily the dots aura, loyalty aura, black wolf, and void skiff are things I really dont care about.

Point was, my main in another game had an affinity for ice and I wanted every cool ice weapon and when they would constantly release ice weapons all through december for a week at a time that required real money and were gone forever after that week, well thats not cool. Pardon the pun. Luckily paragon is doing that right. They dont release some must have every week, and even if they did, things like powersets and costumes will still be there in a month or longer. Which means I'm free to pay my bills and getting things when its convenient.

    Recharge Cap

Is the recharge cap base 100% + 400% or is the base included meaning so long as you didn't have any negative recharge on you you'd only need to get an additional 300%?

That could free up some slots elsewhere, just slotting a LOTG Defense Io in Weave and Maneuvers would get your fire defense back up to where you had it. This may let you slot up another attack power or proc in one of them. My farmer only has about 27 Fire defense and runs at max settings and usually has no issues.

Good point. I was actually thinking about this yesterday. Wondering which of my toons only take tough to get to weave and who could stand to lose it. Ideally on these newest builds I'm trying to hit 33% fire def without maneuvers to save on some end.

Any clarification on this? If this is the case I will need to rework my numbers.

Got a confirmation in another thread. I guess katana is a bust then as I dont think I can account for that loss in 100%. Titan might be doable but at the moment the momentum mechanic bugs me so I guess I wont be in any rush to make one. Saves me some time and coming up with the billions needed to make such a character i guess. Titan doesnt have the pbaoe -def that i liked about katana tho. sigh. Alright. Sticking with my current tricked out SS/Fire and waiting on some new Ipowers to make him even more redic.

    Thanks everyone.
  17. I stopped playing another game a couple years ago cause they started constantly releasing character items that would go rare and never be available again. COH needs to not follow this example. Tier 9 is fine, costume sets in packs are fine, but these promotional aura and costume pieces are not.
  18. Updated.

You can also drop RotP and put in mu lightning, drop a slot off of that and 4 slot apoc for the damage boost and put the extra slot into fiery embrace. With 2 slots and boosters you shave 6 seconds off of it. Which on a cave map I'm sure adds up over the course of the whole thing.
  19. Came up with a new build using katana and fire aura. It requires a high amount of investment to surpass SS but I think that once you get all the right enhancements it does indeed do that. If anyone could take a look and give advice in the recent thread I posted I would appreciate it. Will be going through this thread in a sec to see if katana has been brought up before.

    Illusion dom

Keep the power but increase the recharge for doms. done. The whiners get to keep the power and the devs get to keep the set in check.

The new proc chance is based on recharge amount slotted into the power itself and not global recharge. My current planned build has no slots in build up other then the one it comes with. So it has 0% slotted recharge enhancement value.

  23. How much of a negative aspect would redraw have on farming? SS's biggest things going for it are the fact that it has no redraw plus its ability to make excellent use of the force feedback proc. But while going over the numbers for my tricked out SS/Fire I realized that using spiritual alpha was a waste cause I was so close to the cap. Then I realized the force feedback proc was being wasted as I was basically hitting the cap without it. (For some reason I wasnt factoring in 100% base recharge)

So after going over options I decided maybe I'd roll another brute using katana. Hear me out on this one. With the proc changes coming soon the gaussian proc in build up is going to provide a double build up. So on this new build thats an extra +160% damage every 30 seconds or so. (I dont currently use rage as the crash annoys me. Unless its for ticket farming cause I can finish the map before the crash happens) Also katana's pbaoe is on a shorter recharge and instead of the force feedback proc can use the achilles heel proc. Which provides -20 resistance to all affected critters. Thats -20 res that SS doesn't have access to.

So for numbers this build has 180 Recharge from sets and hasten. Add in the base and your at 280. Plus another 100 for enhancements and your at 380. Plus another 10 at least from Ageless. For 390 and capped at 400 for when ageless isnt at its weakest phase.

As for damage, 100 base plus 130 for enhancements with musc alpha for 230. another 200 with fury for 430. Double build up (160) for 590. 15 from carnival lore pet buff puts it at 605. Mids says I have 13 from sets so now we're at 618. Whats hybrid assualt, 75 + 10 passive If I remember correct. Thats a grand total of 703. Popping 3 reds for the rest to hit cap is easy. Mind you I would only hit about 600 on my SS. Maybe it would be best to go with radial assault.

Anyways, thats my rambling for this morning. Still havent gone to bed yet so if things dont make sense, there are grammer/spelling errors, or this whole thing is a mess and not brilliant then forgive me. A man without rest is a man with madness? I know titan weapons has been thrown around as an idea so I'm thinking maybe redraw isnt too bad? Then again you dont see a bunch of titan/Fire running around. Or do you?

So if your good with numbers go over this and tell me if everything adds up and if you are knowledgeable on redraw let me know if that completely destroys any merit this idea has. Also thoughts and opinions. Please and thanks.

I'll post the build later. So just believe me on the numbers for now.

Thats the one thing I hate about my main who is a dom. I always felt like half my powers were worthless vs the hardest targets.

I'm still holding out one of the incarnate slots will help with that. An extra aoe mezz or an increase to mag on mezzes.
