Quote:Well than the melee tree with defense should be nice. Could than replace a set that gives some defense for MOAR recharge.Ironically, if the damage buff is applied as a +X% dmg buff, it will be terrible for brutes, just like musculature is. Hopefully they will keep it useful for ATs that don't benefit much from damage buffs or are already sitting close to or at the damage cap (kinetics)
Quote:There was that rumor it was going to be two slots, but I have learned to ignore those in game rumors because it is usually some snot nose 14 year old winding people up.
What AT do you roll for your melee's the most Stalkers, Scrappers, Brutes or Tanks?
I thought it was more than a rumor, as in something that was said during a coffee talk or something. -
Only one incarnate slot? Disappointing.
But improving your control powers sounds amazing and something I've wanted for a while. We'll see how it works and if its any good.
and I'm sure my melees will love the MOAR damage route. -
yay for a couple percent more resistance to S/L.
I guess I'm the only one who wants this kind of thing.
Just figured with seeing the occasional "we need a morph power set that isnt khelds".
How about just give us more temp powers than?
They used to come with each costume bundle. -
oh, i knew thats how it worked. I just thought it applied that to the non fire attacks. Not sure what I was thinking applied to the fire attacks. Either damage boost or extra fire damage, more so than the non fire ones got. I guess at least I'll be using Fiery embrace now whenever its up rather than waiting however many seconds for pyronic to be back up first.
-
nope, not just your machine hopeling. That actually might have to do with the game crashing when I misclicked it and instantly clicked the x to close it before it loaded at all past the main outline.
-
Fiery embrace boosting fire damage is one of the reasons i went pyronic.
I guess the faster animation time is enough to keep it. plus the dot. using ionic on my brute was bothering me. -
I'm not making assumptions but compared to having to create a whole power set for or even a custom character model which only applies for a few, my idea is much easier.
Paragon has made it very clear that the art teams time is precious and a lot of ideas they want to do arent going to be done anytime soon because they have other stuff already on the teams plates. Kinda like color changing epic/patron powers.
If they can code powers such as mystic fortune/secondary mutation/ & the robot self destruct to be sold in the market than the coding for another such power cant be all that much of a stretch. -
Yes, anything past that button we see while playing is more than enough. Granted it can be turned off. Tho I'd rather it not be able to be and have no other buttons. But look at it from their point, where "oops i clicked this button" becomes "ooh, look at that item thats directly in front of me, i need to buy it". There are a lot if impulse buyers. Which means more money for them. Not necessarily a bad thing, just annoying when I'm trying to quickly go between savage window, black market window, and recipe window and hit any paragon market button and bring up that window. Which maybe it was just that one time but it apparently doesnt like being closed instantly before it can load.
-
I will say i did not know this but it did seem like things were not dying any more while firing them off when my rage bar was filled compared to when I would fire it while it was practically empty.
Am I right to assume this means fiery embrace does not boost pyronic? -
I've been thinking about this for a while and how it could be done so simply that the devs could actually implement it very easily with very little assets.
Rather than make a power set for this kind of thing or making it like the coyote travel power (with its own character model) which both would require work on the art team. (which apparently is very limited to how much they can do) Why not make a power that lasts say 60 to 90 seconds and gives good resists, moderate recharge, recovery, and perhaps even some damage and to hit bonus along with costume changing you to one of your slots when you use it. Say its tied to costume slot 5. If you haven't unlocked that one yet, than i dont know. But i figure whatever slot it uses would be programmed in and not able to be set which one you want specifically. (Remember, less work for paragon the more chance it has being made)
Think melee armor T9 without the horrible crashes and not as strong but still worth paying money for to have on all your characters. I personally have a bunch of characters who I wouldnt mind this kind of thing on. (if not all of them as its very easy to fit into theme) Kinda like a DBZ super mode (hence the costume change), only not. Sure there are a lot of other examples of this type of thing in manga, comics, cartoons etc. Only have one character at the moment who currently has this type of thing going on but luckily they dont need a costume change, they just click demonic aura and force of nature and it counts for his "rage" mode. Costume change would be quick and efficient and takes place during powers activation so its not like im actually manually changing my costume during battle which is just asking for npcs to beat up on you. I'd say make it take no longer than teleports activation time and even than thats kinda long. Acceptable i guess tho.
So pros
+Very little work. None by the art team essentially. You could even use teleports little flash for animation and activation time to be super lazy about it.
+Money earned to work/time spent ratio is huge
+Because it doesnt use a specific character model and uses a costume slot look it can be used by just about anyone. Which means more people buying it (Where as while I like travel powers, I will never buy coyote or panther or anything transformation cause no character i will ever make would actually turn into those things.)
Cons
-What happens when a player doesnt have the costume slot its tied to unlocked. (Perhaps make it not change appearance under those circumstances and just default to slot 1. So than it would just be the buff until you did get that slot. Which could be a pro for people who have no desire for a "power mode transform" ability.)

Awesome Stargeek. Already printing out your work for future reference.
Thanks again to everyone. Becoming a bit of a min/maxer lately and this info will make my builds even better. -
Thanks hopeling. That also helps a ton. I did not know I could do that on Mids.
-
Awesome. Thank you very much kitsune. I wasnt sure if getting back up to 95% was near impossible with a +4 or not so I decided to ask for something more reasonable.
-
I dont know if its my massive headache at the moment but I cant seem to figure out the Accuracy needed to effectively hit enemies that are +1, +2, +3, and +4. I do see that base to hit is 65%, 56%, 48%, and 39% for those levels. So by my understanding it would take massive to hit to balance those numbers out, and by assumption even more accuracy. I guess my most basic answer is how much accuracy does an attack need to get those numbers back up to base 75% chance. If you can please give me the numbers for base 80 and 90% too that would be great.
Thanks in advance and please no redirect to attack mechanics on the wiki. looked it over a bunch before posting this. -
no clown winners? There were some amazing ones at the morning session. Including mine.

"Darrin Wade, Sashay away"
ok. I need to stop now. -
I think the real question we should be asking is does Wade have
Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, & Talent -
Kyriani, very glad you did. Provided a great laugh.

He absorbed their powers so he could be strong enough to merge with Ru.
Otherwise he was just a man and he would not have been able to do it. Tho technically, even with that massive power he would have supposedly still been overtaken. -
I feel like I had a harder time defeating the last fight in number 5 than this one. :/
-
Think he's looking for an opinion.
Warworks used to be king of damage, so that would prolly be "best". -
Yeah, been using DA late at night. 3 speed heather runs and now 1 repeatable mission a night for 1 component (usually common), 2 astrals or an emp, and 20 threads (so another component).
