I thought that with the release of the newest trial in the new issue and with all the power gamers and min/maxers (I'll admit I've become one) we have on this server I fully expected to see to see some sort of DD until the cows come home kind of event. Sort of a get twenty Emps in a day kinda thing.

I have a second account (so my brother could try the game and I wanted to try dual boxing myself) and I subscribed it so I can start incarnating my one toon on it. Problem is even with the new DA its still difficult. I try and get on whatever trials i can but not many are run at 6 to 8 west coast time. (friday night and only found the 1 keyes ) Yes I can hear it already, "Start a trial yourself". Two responses for that, I've asked numerous times if there was any interest in a BAF or LAM and the globals remain quiet. Also, I dont like leading. Having to explain everything and spam all the different channels and keep track of PM's, whats going on in each channel, and in league speak. It's a bit overwhelming and I applaud our regular's who are putting trials together for being able to do it.

But anyways, does a multi run of DD sound interesting to anyone? I only ran it once but it didnt seem like it took too long. Plus I'm sure if our big name veterans were involved it would be a cake walk. (You know who you are)

But yeah, not explicitly trying to form this up but rather hear what people think about such a thing. I think if the end of the sub starts creeping up and I'm still not T4 across the board I'd push more for this idea. Also excuse whatever typo's or whatnot. Havent gone to bed yet but will in a moment. Be back in about 6 or 7 hours Champions.

Just a suggestion, people generally don't respond to that question. Instead, if you actually start forming it, that's when you'll generally get responses. Sometimes you just have to give it a few minutes, send some tells, etc.

I'm not sure why you want to run the DD over and over when you can run different trials, get full value on Emp merits and not get burnt out on the same trial. Personally, I would not want to do the DD over and over again. I prefer variety. If you're interested in the breakdown of Emp merits for trials, see here.

Again, if you want to do it, go ahead and start forming it up. You'll get a better response if you commit to forming it rather than deliberating about it on the forums/channels. Also, there's no reason why you'd need to do the DD specifically to T4 out your characters. So if you have questions on how to craft Incarnate powers, let me know. I think there may be a misunderstanding there.

I've never been keen on repetitively farmin' things over and over again, which is what this is to me. Even for those that ran BAFs again and again, I wouldn't stick around. So, for me, to do the same thing over and over again, with no real regard for the rewards, doesn't entice me at all. Plus, it's easy to get burned out that way. Why not rotate the iTrials so that you still get Emps, and you don't get turned off from'em.

Yeah, I'd be one o' those people that would tell someone to start one on their own. Honestly, it gets easier as you go on. Some people even create macros to cover the big points for the specific iTrials.

As for the querin' channels, that's almost never worked or gotten a large response. The best way to see if there's interest is to simply start formin' one up.

When it comes to multi-runs, for me especially, this is only o' interest when there's a badge involved (Avoids The Green Stuff, et al). Or if I've already done a Lambda, and there's another later that has trouble gettin' some bodies, I might just in and help out. But beyond that, if the intent is to farm it for Emps, not so much.

Best bit o' advice I can offer is that when you aren't involved in iTrials, work on the solo content in DA. Previously, this obviously wasn't available to us, so in combination, you should be able to advance your character durin' lulls. Even easier since you can put yourself in the queue while in missions.

Yeah, been using DA late at night. 3 speed heather runs and now 1 repeatable mission a night for 1 component (usually common), 2 astrals or an emp, and 20 threads (so another component).

Yeah, I'm on the west coast also, work, have a family, and so forth. It can be hard to get some trial action going in the evening after wifey is in bed due to low population on the server around that time.

I have my son every other week and he plays, but his bed time is 830ish; after dinner, homework, and bath time we usually squeeze in 45 to an hour of play and sometimes we can get on a trial in that window, but often we can't.

The weeks I don't have him, I usually work on other projects or play a lowbie alt to de-stress before bed.

Thus, I tend to get in some iTrial action on the weekends. However, I did mostly solo thru the DA arc with one of my newish 50's, Big Blue Basher a couple of weeks ago. I unlocked Reactive and Judgement doing it (he was already alpha slotted) and managed to get t2's in both, but I just haven't gotten the drops or threads to go any further on non-trial content as of yet.

I'm glad there is some solo-able i-content now, but I do wish they would put in a 4-8 man iTrial so that we could get something going when the server head count is low.

Hey, I just...sort of rejoined the game (I never canceled my subscription, but my video card crapped out two years ago and my participation has been limited since then). But now I have a new PC and life is good. Anyway, I'm just getting my feet wet again and figuring out what's going on, but I love doing Trials and TF's. My main is a stone/stone brute that I'm eventually going to make less villainous to open up options, but I'm still looking forward to trying the DD or BAF soon. Let me know, I'd love to try them if you don't mind me looking vaguely newbish and being pretty underpowered for an Incarnate.

The best way to get on Trials and TF/SFs, Comix, is to be on several global channels. If I see you in game I'll try to get you some invites. You can send me a tell as @gameboy1234. You can also just make your own thread here about getting trials and you'll probably get responses from several channel operators; going directly to them is usually the best way.

The second best way to get Trials is watch broadcast in DA and the Help channel. Third best way is put yourself in the queue and hope an open league starts. Use the LFG menu at the top of your Chat window to add yourself to a queue.

Welcome back, and good luck.

For some reason asking people if they are interested in trials gets little reply on champions, but if you somewhat spam that you are forming a trial rather then asking you get a better response. I am not sure why but its just the way it is, been playing on the server for a while now and asking people if they are interested seems to be too much for a reply, just better to say "I am forming this trial send tell if you want in" makes a difference.

It's been this way since running Maria Jenkins arcs over and over was in vogue. For every ten people asking if anyone is doing anything, nine of them will either respond that "I'll join if someone starts it" or "If there's enough interest I'll join." Even if you end up having to merge two partial groups wanting to do the same task, actually saying "I'm forming a team" will always get a better response than "Is there anything forming?" Proactive people get more action. It is like this on other servers too.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Just bumping to add this:

Last night I was in DA, didn't see anyone doing anything, so I ran off to run some solo missions. As an afterthought I added myself to the LFG with "any trial."

After one mish, and not seeing any chatter in either /hc or the global channels, I got the "Press green to ready for Trial" dialog.

LFG works! Well we knew this, but I think we forget it. If nothing is going on, drop yourself in the LFG and go about your business. Since they added the ability to stay in the queue in instances, it's hugely more useful for finding Trials and other teams. You don't have to use pre-formed teams 100% of the time.

Just out o' curiosity, who was the leader?

You know, I totally forget. I think we switched leaders after one trial, and I forget who was the original one.

EDIT: Thinking back on this, the league was nearly full. I assume they just re-queued after ending another trial with out advertising the fact. Some folks will do that just to get things moving quickly.
