Fire/Fire Assault - The flare is a great taunt weapon. I could regularly pull enemies one at time with this power. I love the hot feet, hot breath, and flashfire too. She's level 16 and she flew there.
Ice/Ice Assault - The Icy swords are nice. She's level 13 now.
Earth/Earth Assault -My new favorite dom and definitely is fun! I stole the show from a tanker and brute during my runs on Union this weekend. I was so impressed with the build I went and built another one on Freedom and named her Lady Attitude 2.0(Level13) to replace my crappy controller. This controller is sentiment to me because she was my first character in CoH but Doms are just better than controllers. LA 2.0 can solo now. With the quicksand, stone spears, boulders and tremors she is a DOM TANKER but without the high hitpoints. Lethal, Lethal, Lethal! Both leveled the fastest out of all my new doms. She is only Level 15 too!
Electric Control/Energy Assault - I have not been a big fan of Electric Control. I tried to level my old 28 Electric Controller but she was so pathetic. Snaptic Overload and Radiation Emisson are a joke, and I don't like pets unless they have guns. I was a fly on the wall with her during mishes so guess what I did with her this weekend?

Psionic/Psionic Assault - Blasts are powerful and the confuse is nice. I confused one guy into clearing the whole room for me on 1 mish. I hold judgement on this one. She's level 13 now.
Plant/Plant Assault - This one I'm not so sure about. This sounded the coolest out of all the powers and I like the thorns, toxins and stuff but it won't work on the Prae clockworks. She's only 14 though, so I'll hold judgement on her too.I do love her skewer power though.
I did create some masterminds(2) too but I mostly drank Enriche when I played them. Not nearly as exciting as Dominators. At Level 25, I had 5 minions. 3 soldiers and 2 special ops. Isn't that crazy to have 5 plus myself doing assaults at 25? I did a group event all by myself against the PPD. I can't wait for level 50 for the MMs. I had one player complaining I was drinking too much while playing and didn't know how to be more aggressive with my minions. I asked her if these were mine or her minions? She was probably jealous because I was triple/quad leveling(the underground) in the mishes with no effort on my part. I do wish I could edit the comments my soldiers speak when they get routed. I do like "Rock and Roll!" but I would like more autonomous/insertable/selectable comments from my boys :-) -
I'm playing on the EU servers tonight. I'm amazed how many can't find the Ski Chalet. I had to lead two to it tonight.
Why did I do it?
1. The Ski Chalet closes the the 31st. Every new player should see this if they play this weekend.
2. Watching new people to game are simply amazing.
A. I had one guy, I invited to team on a father time game but he was so irritated that I chatted with him that he told me to leave him alone.
B. The two I lead to the Ski Chalet just couldn't find it, even with using the wiki from Praetoria. It was a lot of steps from Nova.
I lost an hour of time babysitting them but it was interesting. -

Players should level at least their first character the "hard" way so they have some idea how the game works.
Oh, and that player on the STF? He ragequit the team halfway through the first mission because he died. Turns out that was the first time anything had actually fought back.
That's a strong word. This game challenges your thinking, I read pdfs before I played and still had questions. But it is interesting to see how intuitive the game is....Doofus' have much value in this area.
Do you ever have those days when everything goes right in CoH? You hit the right keys, your present with no distractions, no mapservering, and your team is same. Some days I play, I wonder if I'm the same person....maybe he was having one of those days. Sometimes, you have to know when to quit. If you not on when you play, it can hurt your drops. Personally, I find most people just do trial and error with CoH. MMOs are hard to document. I have docs about the original CoH and I looked for the Faultline trial when I first started :-) -
Darn!! I need to get my characters into their 30s. I want to play them from there.
I did 2 to level 10 and the first one was cool and fun(villain mastermind), the second one was an energy/electric control dom. The Mastermind flew to level 10(I teamed with another mastermind :-)) but the Dom(Praetorian Loyalist) I got to 8 but had to push hard to get to 10.
What's interesting about this is how timeless the original content is. I leveled with each mission exactly on the Villain side. On the Praetorian, it was hit or miss. Some of the missions in the underground were long. -
I played yesterday and today to get a feel for the channels. I signed up for some but I'll need to modify them according to your comments. Different play style here. Most of the players are very polite. We gather at the door and enter as team. But it wasn't all good. I had some new players(I'm maturing new ones too) but some just dropped everything when the system events came on...it was kind of hilarious. But all in all it was fun. How big are the group events here? I guess here the volume is balanced so they can be fun here. In NA, unless it was a rare event, it wasn't a drop everything and usually lag accompanied the event...so I avoided them on the NA servers.
Thanks for the comments. I hope to see you maybe over the weekend. I got two characters(Mastermind and Energy Dom) to level 10 today so they should be higher by the weekend.

If your in the VR before the Double XP start on Thursday, will I have to logout and log back in at the appropriate time to get the double XP or will the double XP activate automatically?

Just a few days away now from XP WEEKEND. I bought the Ramen noodles, setup the food delivery times and made sure my coffee machine is working properly :-)
I'm really excited about this, I was on last night and noticed that the broadcast isn't used very much on Union.
How do you request teaming?
I leveled one of my characters to 10 last night but it so odd not seeing any posts. Are mondays slow on Union? -
10 is the minimum level for CoP, FYI

Leader SG X - 8 members, good to go
Leader SG Y w/coalition - 8 members good to go if of the same SG
Leader SG Z w/coalition - 8 members good to go because on the team with a leader that has a coalition with Leader SG X. All team members inherit leaders status temporarily(sidekicked/exemplared and SGX access) -
Any villians on Freedom want to test this with me before production? It's will take 1 hour to if we meet in Cap Au near the SG base portal.

To solve the other 2 teams of 8, I can create a coalition with 2 other SGs and and then they can recruit 8 and come into my base too right?

2) Participating members do not need to be in your SG to join your group on the raid. However, you can only access the raid from your base. Your team leaders need to be from your own SG so those not in it can access the raid teleporter.

I want to play this but I have a single SG. Last week, I started it up by myself and did recon for about 30 minutes. What is required to play this now? I hear so many things.
Assumptions:
1. SG leader with Raid teleporter and mission computer
2. Participating members do not need to be in the same SG. They can enter the instance from their own SG Raid Telelporter once they are added to the team.
3. A maximum of 8 can enter any instance.
4. Any levels can enter the CoP. -

I'm glad to hear about the CoP. The 29th is double XP weekend. I'll be active on Union but growing new characters. Any weekends after that I'll game to run CoP with you.

I stacked holds on him to prevent the splits, then I rained him with fire, and then I jumped the rail and beat him down(charged brawls, thunderstike, havoc punch). I prevented him from moving completely.

Does anyone know if the GvsE Combined UK/EU edition has the item pack with it? I've seen some copies online for low, low prices and I would love to add these to my EU account. NA stuff is easy to come by but EU stuff is hard.
