Consistent scale can be difficult to maintain, and sometimes even if it gets really bad it can be decided that the effort to fix the problem outweighs the problems scale problems cause.

I found my syrup! It was between the cushions on the couch.

Quote:This has already been explained and he still doesn't get it, so I think you're wasting effort. It is *not* because NCSoft said "we only have enough techno-juice to port one game to consoles, and we're not letting City of Heroes use it." The Paragon Studios dev team have their own plans for the future of City of Heroes, and it doesn't involve anything Aion is doing.
Plus, the official fuel for MMO features is purified trilithium. Techno juice? How plebeian. -
Quote:Instead of doing a chargeback, ask for a refund first. State that you are dissatisfied, want the code removed, and want a refund.Between the clipping issues (Warrior shoulder pads, female hairstyle on "youthful heads, etc.) the unfinished weapon animations for Ninja Run, etc. I really feel like I didn't get my money's worth.
I have no problem buying the bosters, and I felt the other ones were ok, but this just seems rushed out and poorly done.
Are refunds available on booster packs? Will NC cancel my account if I chargeback my purchase? (I have a card that will let me charge back nearly anything within a certain time frame) -
This is one of the very few times they've neglected to inform us simultaneously. Kotaku might have published earlier than expected, or something got lost in the shuffle, but either way it's hardly worth mentioning. Wait until an obvious pattern begins before you begin whining about it.

Some no-name director that might have only done shampoo commercials before. It worked for The Cell!

I love hypotheticals because there's no end to them.
What if the man she injured was a terrorist who would have killed four million people but couldn't after experiencing knee damage? -
Well, this is the same one (I assume) who accused me of having the reasoning of a child based on the fictional reasoning expressed, when my entire post was obviously satirical. Can't expect too much.

Quote:Yeah, it was sort of a strange pattern of posting. I thought I was reading 4chan.The general tone of I was raised to not hit women, but I will sure SMACK one if they get uppity, hur hur hur! was too weird not to comment on.
Quote:Here's how I see things - the moment you cross the line into wilfully and purposefully inflicting harm upon other people, you lose any sort of moral high ground to complain about them. "She started it" doesn't cut it in my world. I don't care if the woman in question was the reincarnation of Satan, himself, there is no way I will ever be convinced that doing what you say you did is the better call over simply stepping out of the way. -

Then I could have stomped on her throat and while she struggled to breathe through her crushed larynx I'd slit her wrists and let her exsanguinate! Screw her for having a bad day and being irresponsible because of it and having the nerve to whine! I had to move out of her way!

That entitlement, and "everyone is special" and "political correctness" you rail against is pretty much known as the human condition and has always existed. Only now instead of people being considered selfish or ignorant or full of themselves, you ascribe their faults to some cultural movement that doesn't really exist.
Just as you can find people from ancient greek complaining about how children are butchering the language and ruining the culture and don't respect their elders "like they used to," you can likely find people complaining about the same things you complain about today. -
I get more negative rep for my neutral or goofy posts than I do for negative or contrary opinions. Usually a contrary opinion or argumentative post will get roughly the same amounts of neg and pos. Or lots of grey.

Not much.
First, you said "good post" to a conspiracy theory or a suggested code of silence about the drop rates. Plus, it's Bad_Influence.
Then, you suggest that the developers don't even play their own game as regular players.
You don't know much at all. -
This is a great story thread.

Boss scaling has been happening for years. As of the creation of the notoriety levels, the basic notoriety level has boss scaling to lts at small or solo team sizes. But even before then, during Issue 2, there was a lot of playing with the difficulty of Bosses. Bosses became very much more difficult, which caused quite a bit of outcry, which then lead to the boss scaling we got today. (AV/EB scaling didn't happen until later).
Now, with new difficulty settings, we can have even greater control on when and if bosses appear.
