After playing around with her build, I realize that, since Invuln will require I take the Fitness pool, I'd have to drop some other powers with her that I really don't want to give up (for flavor/concept purposes). I've decided on MA/Regen, but with enough boosts from set bonuses and Tough that she'll have 23.6% S/L Defense -thank you Kinetic Combat!- (as well as a not insignificant amount of melee defense) and 23.5-23.7% S/L/Toxic Resist, which makes me quite happy.

And why? I have a character whose concept works with either one and I've always been very undecided about which set to choose. She is currently /Regen in her low 20s but I've never played either set past about that point so I don't have much to go on (my husband has played a Regen Scrapper and an Invuln tank both to 50 but doesn't feel too strongly one way or the other). Either version will eventually take the Weapon Master APP and I plan on taking Tough if I stick with the /Regen version.

Thanks, folks. I will see if I can fit both powers into her build. I haven't played for awhile but I intend on speccing out of Acrobatics once I get my hands on a Knockback Protection IO, so that may free up some space for me.

I do use Burn on my Fire/Stone tanker, and I plan on taking Fire Blast and Fireball from the Pyre APP. That said, the majority of my damage is still from my Stone Melee attacks. Would I be better served with Fiery Embrace or Build Up? I'd rather not take both powers.

The only goals I had were to get my controller and tanker (both were level 41 or 42) to 44, so they each got a new power. I got them there, but I don't know what to give them, especially since I lost all my builds when my desktop died a few months ago.

Psychic Blast and the Dominator Psychic Assault set have a LOT of overlapping powers. There's Subdue, Mental Blast, Psychic Scream, and Psionic Lance, and Psychic Shockwave is pretty redundant with Psychic Wail. How can is basically be Dom Psi moved over?

I mean, figure one of two of them will be removed for buffs like Build Up and possible something like Power Boost. Maybe remove one of the blasts from the primary (my guess is Subdue, then move a few other powers to an earlier tier) for Aim?

However, that still leaves a few spaces that need to be filled in; are you going to be putting some more controlling powers in those slots? Have these not been decided upon yet? I'm really confused as to how they can be basically the same set.

Awesome stuff! While I may be doing an interview for an upcoming issue, I wish I'd been tapped about this sooner, only because of the big article on the university. I run an RP SG on Virtue with one of my 50s that's geared specifically to heroes that are also students at PCU, called The Campus Alliance of Preternatural and Exemplary Students, or CAPES. Ah well!

My fiance' and I run an SG on Virtue made up entirely of PCU Students/heroes called the Campus Alliance of Preternatural and Exemplary Students, aka The CAPES. The link is in my signature. Feel free to post one of the public forums and see who's interested.

It seems tempting, but my only probably is that the Rikti invasion was almost 5 years ago, and, therefore, most students that were attending PCU AT that time would have graduated by now, unless they were in the first year or two of undergrad at the time of the invasion and are now working on a doctorate. That is one long a** sentence.

My character, Psycharisma, was still in high school at the time, but she was probably taking some classes there at the time. However, she wasn't a registered hero until her sophomore or junior year. But maybe I can finagle something.

Well, one idea is to embrace the bee or wasp concept, in which case, bzzz!

If you don't like that, I've found the Tribal pattern can look good for something electricity-like, without using the standard lighting pattern all over. And with that in mind, here's my other idea.
