Going from VIP to Premium :
All "Server slots" are locked.
All Global slots are reset, and able to be placed again (to my understanding)
Any character with a restricted Powerset or Archetype (Time Manipulation, EATs) will be locked unless it has been unlocked for you as a premium account (Either from the Paragon Rewards such as the MM or Controller ATs, or bought from the market like the EATs). One example you gave - Beam Rifle - would not be locked as it is a Purchasable set only, even VIPs have to purchase it, and as such is unlocked for both VIP and Premium play. -
This is intended. Looks like some characters get glitched so they are both Hero and Villain while being a tourist...

I'm wierd with my times, and I can be quiet when on - so sometimes I can go for weeks without teaming when it turns out that way.
First fifty was a scrapper (Dark/Dark, awesome fun, only real hole is KB), then I had a Mastermind, Tank, Blaster, Scrapper, Controller, Defender (D3).
After 20 Controllers start maturing, and non-mind controllers start rocking after 32 (especially ones with secondaries like Sonic or Rad which actively help you vs Force Field or Empathy, both of which are much more team oriented.)
Necro/Dark was a fun MM, although your zombies might feel a little squishy until 25+ (32 they get a self heal) - also having fun with a Necro/Traps, but the lack of an AoE heal was felt prior to 32. -
Technically, it'd be player created media/the art forum.
Here is okay, but best overall fit for this kind of thing would be probably be General discussion.
I'd comment on it, but I'm at work so not going to download it just yet. Thanks for the work though, new launcher seems to just have the one icon. -
There are two possible precedents - either the Capes/Aura unlock - but then strange glows and capes are a HUGE staple of the genre. And unlike the rularuu weapons, nonway to unlock earlier than 20/30 and only one way to unlock in game period.
Then there would be the Vanguard stuff, but that one is defiantly strange due to how vanguard is tied to the game, previously had NO way of unlocking prior to 35, and was a pre-existing pack.
Niether match exactly. -
Quote:An alternative to buying the system is see if at a local computer or bargain store or somewhere online for a cheap copy of going rogue. If it's your first box it should give one token and another for the month of VIP.Yes, I was looking for things that are more "needed," as in everybody needs to have, rather than options.
Another thought, by at least level 30 or 35, buy the Alignment System ($15). Primarily to get Tips and Alignment Merits, which are really handy once you start to IO a character. Consider buying this earlier, as you can make a ton of cash selling good recipes on the market, or you can just slowly accumulate Alignment Merits to have when you are ready for them. -
Quote:Try poking around in the Tech Issues forum, your issue seems familiar (unfortunately I cannot recall if it is a player solvable issue or not)Hi all,
I recently got a new computer and reinstalled City. I used the procedure Aggelakis recommended at the link below to do so.
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/archi.../t-194821.html
I have log chat enabled, and I've checked my "Logs" folder (under my City of Heroes folder) , but I can't find any of the new logs that should have been saved since I reinstalled.
Can anyone give me an idea of where to look?
Thanks in advance for your help! -
Quote:I'm going to curse your name, because at this rate your going ył guilt me into registering to vote then I'll get hit with Jury Duty. And this is exactly what I'm talking about. Take that type of dingbat and picture her arguing against NCSoft. Then realize that there are millions of idiots willing to believe all the garbage that spills from her mouth and blindly vote whatever way the dingbat tells them.
Then put that against the tens of millions of Americans who sit around at home and complain that something should be done, but someone else should do it for them. -
Also, the "hardcore" people most able to help you with Linux stuff is in the "Gameplay and Technical Issues" forum. At least one person that, as I recall, has been workinghard at getting Linux/CoH to work is Se Jaist - havent seen a post recently in here but he has always been more of a G&T issue forumite.

T4 is 2/3rds I think
For looking at incarnate stuff/using it in game, a fairly useful toil is to bind the incarnate window to "I" - it's easier than going through the powers window as well.
/bind I "toggle Incarnate" -
Power effects - no clue. Definitely more a question for Tunnel Eat (All Things Art - FX thread in General Discussion)

Quote:NCSoft may ultimately be a Korean company, but it has a sizable American prescense and does business here. It has a hood number of employees here and a sizable number of American customers. And you don't have to be foreign to be targeted by media idiots. (Some tea party floozy was saying the TP was not like Occupy Wall Street because they started and are "respectable/calm/whatnot". Says the party comparing a genocidal dictator to Obama. )Typical American whining. Easier to pass the buck onto someone else and complain rather than accept responsibility and take action.
Newsflash W_L. The laws you are referring to are American laws. Put into place by American legislation. NCSoft is a KOREAN company. It is not their responsibility to fight to change American laws. And I guarun-damn-tee ya that if NCSoft were stupid enough to try it you'd see a ton of negative press about how a foreign company was trying to screw over US copyright/trademark holders, which would be more financially disasterous than the occasional lawsuit.
American citizens are responsible. So if you think the laws should be changed get off YOUR butt and do something about it.
Wing_Leader - NCSoft gas taken reasonable steps to protect itself. But it doesn't "back down" it fought back quite well when marvel sued. -

My understanding (and the wiki's) is it is every 1200 purchased points, including bonus points.
So 8 tokens sounds right (9 if first points purchase) -
Quote:If I remember correctly, pre-Freedom arcs remained accessible if their creator's sub lapsed. I'd presume the same is true now. (Of course, it could break.)Tier 2 unlocks AE missions with no rewards. Tier 4 unlocks AE missions with rewards. Tier 6 unlocks all of AE, including creating arcs.
But no idea what happens to the arcs if you drop from VIP and are below tier 6.
I would also guess you retain tickets but not sure if you'd be able to spend them. -
Three reasons.
Slightly/mostly discontinued is the developers wanted some pieces to remain unique - see Statesman's mask and unique pattern for example.
Older pieces for NPCs were not builtthe same as character parts, and are not compatible with player rigs/animations (Old CoT robes)
The main reason now/going forward is excessive clipping with other parts of the players costume. See the threads about the Circle of Thorns costume pieces recently released. -

Look in the test forum - same thing as the quick install for the training room just your not renaming anything to cohtest. If inrecall correctly, you basically just start a new install, stop, copy the pigg folder over and the choose repair.

Just because a power has a downside does not make it useless. See: Hasten, Granite Armor, Rage, a number of Tier 9s, and although I don't see it some would say Vengeance. Now I will agree it isn't necessarily good for all characters past the low levels, but I wouldn't call it useless.

Quote:pretty sure IOs and Hamidons work the same. It's just with set restrictions we don't get the broken combos of the Hami-OsIt's neither like Hamis or IOs. Hamis are totally bugnuts (because of the way the game works), and IOs can make a power accept enhancements that it shouldn't (e.g. Vengeance and tohit/recharge or defense/recharge IOs, the recharge portions will work).
Alphas work exactly like slotting enhancements in a power. If a power does not take X enhancement, then X alpha will not work in it. If a power does take Y enhancement, then Y alpha will work in it. -
Quote:Not that strange - the rewards systems is a contiueation of the veteran rewards system, which did the same.Tokens are being awarded at the end of a billing month, which seems strange, but that is currently how they are doing it. If your account renews on the 15th of every month, you will get a Token on the 14th of every month. In other words, say you pay for your 25th month of subscription on October 15th, you will receive your 25th reward Token on November 14th.

Quote:Never mind the stalker just might be naturally sneaky.Yeah, that kind of bugs me about people who think Stalker powers should be limited.
They disagreed with /Shield stalkers because it apparently doesn't make sense.
Well it doesn't make sense that being invulnerable can make you invisible either!
In Berserk, the huge sword made sense (character had his sword grow as he did) and they even made fun of it (when fighting whats-his-name, WHN was standing on Guts' sword at times) -
-
Specifically, it acts like a group of enhancements. So unlike multi-aspec IOs or Hami-Os, if you cannot directly slot a power for something - say recharge - it will not benefit from Spiritual even if it has a recharge time and accepts/is buffed by other aspects of the Alpha.
