Quote:Inside a mission, you SK/exemp to mission owner - outside to team leader with the star. They use an enhanced version of the MA *now*. Just before we got it it wasn't quite as easy for them.Quote:oh ok, so they used excel... thats a different story! but now that there is MA... cant they just modify the way they make arcs to match the MA?
P_P, what did you do to that last 1/2 a person? -
Quote:To me, it catches the feelings of the original (at least, the I think it is) opening. To a person of a certain age (i.e. me), that was friggin' hilarious!

Quote:Well, I know back in the old forums it was a bit of a trick to type the artist/dev N8 VanDyke you had to work the system.EDIT. Never actually saw that happen before. Thats funny. I did a double take and everything.
Here, just don't put a space after "Van", though, it doesn't work to use the tag trick. -
Quote:Is that cannon canon?
(BTW Avatea it's "canon" not "cannon". Unless, of course, you're planning to launch him into space at some point. Moon zone, ho!
)
Oh, and Avatea - why no info on the guy's AT/Powersets?
You know they are going to start up an avatar contest soon if they have not already. -

Sirocco has fallen in love with his reflection, convinced it holds the trapped soul of the former Sirocco.

Not that I expect you to encounter any difficulties but :
If you end up paying with a credit card, make sure to make a note someone of the last four digits of the first card NCSoft charges (so if you use a card to activate your account, then change it before it's actually billed, you want the second card).
If you pay first with time or game card (different, but both can add paid time) keep that card or write it's whole number down.
If you someone loose your account info, they will ask for those numbers from your first billing to confirm your identity. -

When I was in closed beta for issue testing, the servers were generally up unless down for hardware or software changes.
Right now, they are keeping the EU TR available for i15 patches they might need to test. -
Quote:Admittedly I "missed out" but originally to get to some zones (without a port) you had to do long boat rides (as in several minutes) or when going from the planet to the moon or the other way around in EQ, you had to a) talk to an npc to get a token (so you had to have inventory space) and b) wait for the every-fifteen-minute-event that ported everyone with the token to the moon or the planet.Judging from the reminisces I see from former EQ players, here and elsewhere, apparently there really are people who enjoy spending a great deal of time just preparing to play the game. Who spent hours of uneventful traveling and waiting so they could get to whatever would finally make them money and/or experience. Or maybe they didn't actually enjoy it so much as endure it with gritted teeth, and now they're considering themselves leet and moaning about how soft players are these days. Could go either way.
Thankfully, by the time I joined, there was the Plane of Knowledge, linking the whole world one book-on-a-pedestal at a time. -

If you have not been kicked out for a beta or banned from here or in game ever for behavior (accidental-invite-then-kick doesn't count) then you are in good standing.

In the CoH/CoV general thread is a forumite-made Dev digest based off the board's search - they are working on adapting the script from the old boards to this one.

Quote:What "impossible" things? These same things are the things that Cryptic magically made possible with their new game. Its not all that bizzar it would take both companies about the same time to come out with "impossible" features.
Don't confuse "impossible" with "hugely time consuming and would suck up way to much of our manhours for a long time to do".
