Quote:I think I got cussed out once for doing that.Fixed that for ya!
I never charged for badge missions and would always announce them on the global channels.
"Fortune Teller mish! 7s/XX mil apiece!"
So I did something like "Fortune Teller Mish! 7s/Good time had by all for no charge each!". -
Quote:hehe, Moldiver.Or magical curse (Ranma 1/2)
Genetic family anomaly (Futaba-Kun Change!)
Disguise to attract girls while searching for one in particular (Sailor Moon Stars)
Your little sister reprogrammed your pocket universe generator (Moldiver)
Then there's always the tomboy disguise.
Also Dual! (Cause you don't want the enemy to know a guy is piloting the "only-a-girl-can-use-it" mechs.)
Birdy the Mighty. -
Was it Hobo or H8mail? Maybe someone else entirely... anyway, one person used this for his "character" - a item which possessed it's "users". So the different genders and what not make sense.

Quote:Anything which is doable at any level is always in the 45-50 range, as missions only become available in ouro at the top of their level range.Aye confirmed. I just assumed that it would be in the 20-24 range since that's when the cape mission is available for new characters.
Quote:Merge it with Terra Volta - the northern part of IP would be sealed off, and filled with the reactor and other TV buildings, making the zone a split one, like Faultline is split by the dam.
Except, that wouldn't make sense, as the port surrounds TV.
The dam has always been the southern half of Faultline. -
Behindthename.com Was searching for a name for my Dark/Dark defender, and one of the names came up with being from the words "Rajani" and "Isha".
Hope no one trips over that H. Have no clue where I left it X.X -
Quote:Don't forget - if you want to reactivate it for her, and it's been inactive for more than 90 days, the account qualifies for the bonus time for reactivation. That was kind of what I had thought, but wasn't certain.
Again, thank you. I love how helpful people on these boards are. -
Quote:It's not through the roof, IIRC. They're just one of the ones set to ignore stealth values X.XKoA win that IMO. While they are not the most deadly (not to say they are pushovers), the spammed pile of caltrops makes any mission with them in quantity an utter nightmare. Even on an electric armor character with slow resistance it still is unbearable. I just don't both with any arc full of them.
Of course add in the fact that their perception is through the rough so they swarm all over you from half a map away and it really gets to suck.
The Caltrops bit is what gets me with KoA. My level scrapper fifty once almost died to three KoA. Because they manage to pin him in a rectangle bordered with a stone ledge. Nothing big, but just enough that I needed to jump to get out of it, and they were just beyond melee range. It was worse, I think, because he was Dark/Dark, so if I couldn't hit, I couldn't heal (Had no greens at the time, I think.) -
Quote:These three annoy me. As a mention of theDemolitionists, the Foreman boss is just as bad, getting the ability to keep out two burn patches.Demolitionists - Lieutenants that make a Mastermind resummon or retreat a lot.
Centurians - Um... wow... you hit hard for a primitive. Squishies beware, bring a couple purples just in case he gets too close.
Honorable Mention:
There's only one of him, but Kadabra Kill sucks completely.
Centurians, the big thing is the healing and rezzing surgeons.
KK sucks. Also fighting Sefu. -

Quote:Not all temps are re-earnable through Ouro, as Aggie said. The way that I understood is that you can earn powers like this multiple times using ouroboros and the powers duration is cut in half each time you earn it, so how do you earn it again in the first place if its not there at all? I'm lost. Guess I'll try looking for it again at 41.
And the duration isn't cut in half on re-earned powers, necessarily. Some powers have "echos" that awarded after the first time you earn the power instead.
list of temp powers, including which ones are Ouro-obtainable and which of those give "echos"
The Nemesis Staff is not listed as a re-obtainable. -
1 - If you are able to log in, petition from there.
2 - Sign up at the Euro support site and ask there how to get a link to the US that won't redirect you based on IP. -
Quote:Yeah, that's the most not-obvious thing right now. the normal methods for typing in help are broked, so you need to type /hc to get into the Help Channel."You must learn patience, Ed Gruberman."
"Yeah, yeah, patience! How long will that take?!?"
Seriously, let it do it's thing, as long as it takes.
This game is a metric tonne of fun, and has a great community to boot.
As this game evolves, it has gotten more customizable, larger, crazier, and with a huge variety of challenges and activities.
If you have any questions or concerns, there is the help channel.
Type /hc Where can I get a jetpack? for example. -

Quote:This. If this is happening, then something is wrong. It should just be downloading the newest version.
Try this. Stop the download, close the updater and look in the CoH folder. Delete the Coh.checksum file, and then start the updater again. It should then take some time to verify the files it has already downloaded before starting in on the ones it hasn't downloaded.
In normal operation, if the file doesn't it exist (such as with an install), it would download the new/current one.
If you know someone with an install of the game, search for the tags "Test Server" and "Install" and the guide should show up for doing it the quick way.
Also good to do if you want to use the test server -

Quote:I don't see how that would make it faster. GetRight I'm guessing is a download manager... most places I know of like to ban those from connecting because their methods tend to mess up their bandwidth. Thanks for that.
Ok adding the port brought the time down to 9 hours @ 83.1K/sec initially and now it is up to 6 hours @ 124K/sec.
This is ridiculous they should provide a direct link to download these as it would be so much quicker and GetRight does what the updater does anyway so it picks up where it last left off.
They advise in the forum to copy your directory if you are going to restore from one PC to another so that tells me that the files should be generic enough to allow a straight download.
They already have a download site http://download.cityofheroes.com so I cant see why they dont just put a zip file with the update files in there or split it over a number of zip files to make this process easier and quicker.
The patcher does several functions, including pre-downloads for the major content updates.
The patcher, for you right now, isn't downloading a patch, it's downloading the whole game (direct copy of the most current patched client). There system isn't like EQ (or WoW? Don't know, tried it once and didn't buy it) where it download the client, installs it, then requires you to download all the patches in sequence. And the files, IIRC, are already compressed, so zips wouldn't do much if anything. -
