Quote:This reminds me, originally the idea was to have seperate origins for the primary and secondarys.I believe Adeon is trying to just distinguish between natural/tech. It's not to imply that it's impossible to have a magic or science or mutant explanation along with your rifle.
In theory, every set in the game can be any origin you want.
Flower Knight's bio, for example, has her with a magic bow, yet she's a techie (devices blaster) -
Quote:Kings Row is for levels 10-14, and grants the Zero G pack to anyone of at least Security/Threat (This means you have leveled up at a trainer) level 10 (you can be 50 and get it if you have not from the Mayhem/Safeguard before).Hey guys I was away from the game for about 6 months and just started playing again. I was wondering if the temp travel powers that used to be granted from completion of the AP and Kings Row Mayhem Missions are no longer being granted for completion of those missions?
I did the Kings Mayhem last night just before I logged off. Robbed the vault and defeated the hero. Clicked the exit button and got nothing for it.
I hit level 10 from xp from the kill on the boss so I should have still been the correct level range to get the zero g pack correct?
Not really concerned as I'm getting the MA booster tonight so Ill have ninja run to get around with, just curious more than anything.
If you hit level ten, but was not trained up to level ten, in someone else's bank run, then you are not Security/Threat Level 10, and don't qualifty -

Quote:Pirate blouse, too.Backpacks & Jetpacks would not require the skeleton being altered whatsoever. Scabbards probably wouldn't either, depending on where they actually get put.
We actually did have nice clumps of fur for our characters as shoulder and chest details in the CoV beta. No idea why they were removed.
And the original pointy ears just can't be properly recreated.
I understand that the old ones where a separate head, but sill, common! -

It's your fault cause that guy made a video to Avenue Q's "Leave your appartment". -

For me, one of the big distinctions between Natural with Gadgets, and Tech, is - what skill is required?
Take a sniper - some of those rifles have some good tech, but without the training (or inherent skill, but even that will take a lot of training to refine) you can't pick up the rifle and use it good, and well, repeatedly.
But some of the rocket launchers today, for example, are more "point and click" than requiring aiming - the rockets have guidance and steering built in. Compared to, say, WWII, you don't need (as much) skill as long as you point generally in the right direction.
Admittedly, even high tech - user friendly gadgets will benefit a lot from skill, but for a Natural character it is the skill that defines the hero (for me). -

Quote:Then you should of posted this in Suggestions, not Player Questions. In a discussion with several other CoH/CoV players that I've been playing with over the years, we're looking for ways to keep the game fresh and keep interest going. We were having a conversation about the possible downfalls to the Mission Architect system that players could exploit to powerlevel and miss the enjoyment and whole point of the game, and then the discussion turned to what happens to players when they get characters to level 50. We propose that in order to avoid, frankly, the "let-down" when you hit 50, that characters that have achieved level 50 get a certain amount of playtime and then move off to "retirement" or become "figureheads" or "paradigms" of some sort and are automatically retired, inspiring players to create new characters again. Of course, there would be special bonuses when heroes or villains do retire to new characters that are created, and be badges for retiring X amount of heroes/villains or a complete suite of archetypes. This incentive to move on and keep the game fresh would greatly enhance the continued playability of the game in the same way that the frequent emphasis to prevent powerleveling keeps the game world vibrant and dynamic. I'd like to see one of the game developers comment on this suggestion. Thanks!
And no, just because you don't like people power leveling doesn't mean I should lose access to my fifties. -

And then I'm screwed when I want a non-stealthed sprint...

Doubt that would relate to the OP's situation. Freedom is an East Coast server.

Quote:Did you make sure to un-sub and then resub while the offer was available?I still had my account set up for auto-renew for 1 year, got the badges (so I was eligible), didn't think anything of it (busy due to classes, the massive tidal wave of end of Fall semester college homework, personal life, etc.). Honestly didn't pay any attention to the offer - was on auto-renew and I'm really not a badge hunter. Didn't notice until today that I didn't get my 2 free months rewarded. Anybody else have this happen? Sifted through this thread, but didn't see it mentioned.
Yes, sent letter to support today - I'm not too concerned about the badge or the beta access - just the 2 freebie months. -
Quote:Hover gives a defense bonus and doesn't have the "slide". It also doesn't suppress in combat, which really shows if you have any enhancement to your fly speed.Recall Friend, is very useful on teams since it can be used to help slower moving team mates to mission doors
TP Foe can be used for pulling
Hasten (not mentioned) gives you a recharge bonus and if the character is slotted the right way, can be Permanent
Combat jumping gives a defense bonus and resistance to Immobilize -

Quote:Was that because a) your singles line was creepy, b) the guy was being hostile/vulgar, or c) it was GR?I like Mod08's answer best: Threadlock.
So, about a new and separate forum for GR now that we have a dozen active GR threads....? -
Quote:We might have one of those, never go there though it's very nearly 20 miles away. And all the fast food joints charge more there (those 89cent chicken burritos at tacobell are over a buck there..)Those are damn expensive tickets! O_O
*hugs local $2.75 matinee Cinemark*
For our Tinseltown, 4.75 for first matinee, 5.75 after that, then 8.75 for nighttime. -
Quote:Has nothing to do with ninja run - especially since you can't slot ninja run.Like the subject says, what's up with that? Why are the sprints and prestige power slide limited to running and jumping enh's only? I was hoping to slot Blessing of the Zephyr into power slide. Has this been discussed, is it an oversight, or is it perhaps an oversight that won't be reconsidered now to avoid indirect stacking with ninja run?
Power slide is actually the reason - that and the the CoH Pre-Order sprints, of which a 12 month veteran has all four. So if you are a 12-monther, and have the Power Slide, you get a total of SIX powers you can slot Uni. travel IOs in at no cost of power picks. They didn't want that.

And I'd finally have a reason to unlock that Vet Reward (I only use Slide for Ice toons...and dont use any of the vet sprints)
