As for what's new... well, depends on where you left off.

Put simply, the reason I mostly avoid AE is that its selection embodies Sturgeon's Law squared.
-
I19 seems to have implemented a limited rate at which you can invite people to a team - not the same player, as it was prior, but any player. I don't see any reason for it, and it's nothing short of frustrating when trying to invite a bunch of people from tell/broadcast replies.
-
I don't see why it should be a specific origin, especially with weapon and power customization.
Off the top of my hand, you can customize them to be wrist blasters, swirling runes, skull gauntlets, gnarled flesh thingies, or anything else the design team can think of. -
Just a little thing that's been bugging me since GR went out - the initial choice whether to be a loyalist or resistance completely locks the player out of additional dialogue with Scott or Marchand, no matter what your current alignment is. Considering that GR is all about side-switching, there's really no sense in having one single choice {especially that early} dictate whom you can choose to additionally help or sabotage.

Do we really need half a dozen merit vendors per zone, sometimes so close to each other they might as well pass the time by brawling?
Kill them. All of them. Each and every one. Replace them with NPCs that are already frequently visited, accessible and thematically fitting, like, oh, trainers. Add a dialogue option saying something along the lines of "I would like trade in my merits" and voila, the problem of the random costume button victim overpopulation is solved. -
Here's a suggestion - charity bin.
In addition to the Delete button, add "Donate". Donating an item {whether it's salvage, enhancement or anything else} adds it to a dedicated category on the market house {a branch of fixed price, maybe, said price being zero}. To prevent pirating the charity bin and simply listing it on the regular market, donated items are marked as untradeable {in the way that merits are}. That way it's easy for players to get rid of their unwanted items without having to visit the market, and it provides an additional supply of said items. -
Because Sturgeon's Law notwithstanding, there's quite a few quality missions among the dross?
Because the Flashback system is needlessly restrictive and if it remains as is, relocating anything to it would mean condemnation to obscurity?
Because pre-Paragon arcs aren't inherently better than the unconnected missions? {Banefire, Tsoo takeover...}
That said, there is some crud that needs to be cleaned out - FedExes to PvP zones or Hollows/Striga/Croatoa can be replaced with "You have been contacted by..." notifications.
Some of the street missions also give out temp powers that can't be obtained otherwise.
Also, if you're fishing for the arc starter mission, use the Abandon Mission option. Once you accept the first mission in the arc, the book icon will pop up and the arc will start. -
After reading the OP's post, I'm convinced he must be...
{puts on sunglasses}
DeRNGed. -
It was an attempt to collapse them into a recharge singularity which I could jump into and turn my all my powers into inherent-auto-toggles.
The experiment was abandoned when I realized I would instantly run out of endurance.
Quote:Fabricator badge, I'm guessing. 1700 Recharge enhancements leaves 300 other things he can craft for other invention badges, such as getting the Field Crafter accolade.
How could I resist? -
The idea of making a hundred and seventy round trips to the market doesn't appeal to me that much, I'm afraid.

So I've got a Lv20 mastermind fresh out of Praetoria, and into Paragon. So far soloing has been a breeze, but I'm far more partial to teaming. With that in mind, combined with /storm's razor-thin line between stupidly powerful and inadvertent griefing, any advice on how to best leverage ninjas, gale, freezing storm and hurricane would be welcome.

Alright, sounds safe enough then.
Me: Just a quick question - is being designed specifically for farming a valid reason for reporting a MA arc?
Them {after a "we are escalating your question..."}:
Hello,
If you think an Architect mission has been designed specifically for farming, please file feedback as such and we will investigate.
If you have other questions, please let us know! -
I'd chip in on that topic, but to check first - would it be against the rules to copypaste a response from a senior rep regarding policy clarifications?
-
Actually, I slot at least two SOs worth of range in every cone power I take, since doing so greatly increases the power's area coverage and thus the number of enemies affected.
-
I don't see how one could effectively merge those two sets - both ranged and TAoE use range enhancements, while PBAoEs and meelees don't. You could merge meelee and PBAoEs, though.
-
Oh, I agree, there should have been more variety from the outset. This just seems like the quickest solution to an existing problem with no downsides {other than the code needed to implement it} I can see.
-
Hmm, maybe I should have been clearer. Basically, merge the categories - have Targeted AoE sets slottable in single-target ranged powers, and vice versa. Since they all use the same enhancement types {damage, range, endurance, recharge} there's be minimal, if any, balancing, and the pool of available sets for each category would be drastically expanded.

Did you just hit Ignore As Spammer or follow it up with a petition? I think they need a certain number of ignores to actually bring them up to the attention of GMs {otherwise they waste time on accidental ignores} while the latter seems to have much quicker results.
