  1. : ( Still not beta invite........ getting sad. Im at like 67 months..... think I'll end up getting one? I usually do... just not this time.. yet.

ME WANTS TO PLAY MEH TEH DUAL PISTOLS!
  2. So..... how F'D up do you think the markets are gonna be when all the redside players go blueside just to get all theyre IOs???
  3. Thats easy....... Demon Summoning.

"EWWWW look at me, look how dark I am.... now I dont even have to be creative and make up a TOTALLY original backstory to somehow make every single set in the game somehow revolve around being demon possessed. (yes even robots)."

Seriously all you guys playing the "im a demon possessed guy" toons. YOU ARE SOOOO LAME.
Its easily the most common backstory in the history of this game lol. I once formed a pickup group and NO JOKE 5 out 8 people on the team were either a demon, possessed by a demon, or made a deal with one.

  5. Well I dont have to wrestle tonight so I'm going to have a couple, I was really rushed for time last sunday. Im gonna have the Mini Event tonight, and atleast 2 others, Might do a team battle, and maybe another requested variation.

Hopefully I get a couple more drops tonight so I can give out even more prizes. Glad you guys had fun.
  6. Thanks to everyone who came out for the event. We didnt have a huge turn out but there were enough people to have fun, vets and a few people who were having theyre first arena experience with us.

I hope to see everyone again next Sunday and hopefully we can have an even better event. Make sure you guys pitch me ideas for what other events you will want to have besides the Mini-Events.
  7. I still didnt get my prize for second place in the 2v2 any chance Id be able to snag that at that time as well? I was on my Dom Shiver' and teamed with SinnerSaint.

5v5, 2v2, Battle Royal, All Ice toons, all fire toons, all AT, pretty much any variation requested by people involved.

As a side note Psynder, if you're comfortable running PvP events, I could probably use a helping hand with the Feature Event, unless you'd be wanting to participate yourself. We've been given the rules and such for this months event already, and I'll be scheduling it for either this weekend or the following weekend, depending on when I'll have more time available. I'll have a thread up for it in the next couple days.
Sure just let me know what you need.

Nope, plus my Mini-League events are more about fun and prizes than being a hardcore 1337 PVPer. Everyone has a good time and the nice part about having the Mini format is that its pretty noob friendly so they dont get wailed on and never PVP again. Its a starter event to get them used to the shallow water before sombody holds theyre head under in the deep end. Plus its been the fastest non-exploit way for me and others around to pick up PVP IOs, I get a few every time we have the event.
  12. EVENT: Sunday Night Fights
    HOSTED BY: Psynder
    TIME: 8:00pm Eastern

Come join us on Guardian server every Sunday night and jump in with PVP events that anyone can get they're feet wet with. There will be various PVP events specializing in various themes. Have fun with friends and make some new ones, all while earning PVP IOs and winning prizes. Something for everyone.

While your enjoying the themed events make sure you stick around and participate in Guardians Mini-League Events, where you may bring any toon and have them exmp down to level 5 and fight in Battle Royals and 2v2s.
  13. The thing is this was my beta toon, ive been playing him since closed beta. I have been an AOE glass cannon for over 5 years and to be honest not being able to tackle the big crazy 8+man spawns that all the other decked out toons can got old really fast.

I specced into this build last night with a few minor tweaks that got me 150% RECH and 35% ranged DEF. and then set myself to 8+ spawns at +2 and soloed them with ease. I hover at ground level with HotFeet turned on, and with my constant +40 to +75 % bonus from my sets, assault and defiance. So even hot feet is dealing good damage.

Im pretty happy I did this. He went from being the black sheep toon that helped me get into city, to hanging with my godlike Nightwidow and Dominator.

I had to mess with a few things to get what I wanted, but if I want to play melee ill play a dom or scrapper.
  14. OK so after about 9999999 attempts at making a softcapped range build for my main hero, it became pretty apparent that in order to pull it off I was gonna have to lose ALOT of firepower and more RECH than I was willing to. So I came to the conclusion that I could live with 30% to ranged Def and still keep the nice bonus that comes from having all that RECH, Ive also fallen in love with Hotfeet and the Leadership powers. So heres my lattest attempt.

Any suggestions any observations? Also my mids currently keeps glitching back to before Melt Armor was added so thats why there is a power choice not made and 4 slots left unused cause they will be in Melt Armor.

    Thanks in advance.

  15. Ive been thinking about organizing a RV night on guardian for awhile but I didnt get enough feedback as far as what night people would like to do it yet though. Ill be there.

I actually was gonna make my event on sunday night anyway so lets give it a shot and see how it goes. Ill be on a villain.

  17. I hate being trapped on a server when NOBODY is on doing anything. or when I could be PVPing on a server where it actually take place....

    SIGNED....

id much rather this become a standard feature and not somthing you have to pay for though.
  18. What would we want?

What could we subsitute for Slash and Evis that would still follow roughly the same animation time?

As much as I hate it, Slash will probably have to have two hits? Unless they just want it to be like a two DOT effect on a single strike. I still really like the NPC version.

as for Evis..... man I dont even know.

  20. Back during the whole "slash animation change" debacle when our cool animation was changed to the horrendous double punch, we were promissed that they would work on a unique widow animation and that we would be notified of the progress.

That was a LONG time ago. Now I understand things came up and all but now with all these sets getting alternate animations and such what are the odds that we will get an alternate animation to go along with the eye sore that is Slash?

My widow is my favorite toon and it would be just peachy to not get a little sick to the stomach each time I use my main power lol.

Any chance we could even get the animation used by the NPC widow? Ive always been fond of it.

Obviously its intent is to nearly cap HP, have decent Rech and Acc while getting above 30% ranged defence. If i could softcap I would but it takes too much away from the build and I can just pop a purple so no biggy.

What you guys think? any imput would be helpful.

Remember the idea here is dealing tons of AOE damage at range, while remaining as safe as possible.

get my draft , thx for any helpful reply's ahead of time

I dont think anything in the game is really overpowered at the moment, but if your talking the infamous powerful builds then here are some you can try out.

    Fire/Kinetics Controller

    Illusion/Radiation Controller

Stone/Fire Tank (but you have to be really well built)

Ice/NRG/Ice Blaster (built for defence and +rech)

Dark/Shield Scrapper (if you do it right you can maintain dmg cap during almost every fight)

    ummmmmmmm ummmmmmmm

im drawing a blank but theyre are tons but they are all for different things

Archery/MM blasters are dope but not tanks by any means.... ahhhh

My buds Dark/Dark/Scorp Cor is nuts, it has softcapped ranged defence and all the -dmg, -acc, you can imagine as well as decent dmg and regen.

It all depends, the amazing thing about COX is that with IO sets you can pretty much make anything you want.
  24. Ok so im sitting at lvl 40 with my DB/Regen and decide its time to decide what set bonus I want to go for.

Originally I was going to build for straight up +HP, +Rech, but I got to thinking about adding in Melee Def or S/L Def because of how good it turned out on my blaster.

What do you experienced Scrappers think?

Even build suggestions will be accepted as long as they include Super Speed.

I've seen this when I've taken my soft capped fire/shield scrapper and my soft capped electric/shield brute on that map. With all the dots that Nemesis fire attacks do, good luck trying to get aid self off.

I've actually farmed on that map and know what works and what doesn't. A resistance based brute works better IMO. My soft capped toons can farm at lower levels than 8 solo, but there's a big difference between 5-6 and 7-8, especially without someone providing buffs and heals.

There probably are builds that are extremely expensive that can solo farm that map or equivalent, but why anyone would want to would be a mystery to me. It would simply be slower than if you had a buffer or if you set the map for lower numbers of players.

I just tryed out that 8man spawn Nem mission he was talkign about with my Widow, with one rare lucky streak that a few hits got to me I had to activate Demonic in order to get by, but besides that I soloed that map very quickly.

I dont see what the problem is, soloing you get lots and lots of INSPS just make sure your usuing them and you will be fine.
