1. powexecname POWERNAMEWITHSPACES
cc (0-3) (0 is your first costume, 1 is the second, 3 is the fourth)

METHOD 1
/bind K "powexecname Nova$$cc 1"
Pressing K will change your costume before the power even starts.

MEHTOD 2
/bind K "powexecname Nova"
/bind L "cc 1"
Pressing K starts the power, and then you time when you want to hit L to change the costume.

METHOD 3
/bind K "powexecname Nova$$bindloadfile c:\binds\ccb.txt"

c:\binds\cca.txt
<font class="small">Code:<hr /><pre>K "powexecname Nova$$bindloadfile c:\binds\ccb.txt"</pre><hr />
c:\binds\ccb.txt
<font class="small">Code:<hr /><pre>K "cc 1$$bindloadfile c:\binds\cca.txt"</pre><hr />
Pressing K executes Nova and sets up K to change your costume. Hit K at the right moment and your costume will change and K will be setup back up to execute Nova.

Good luck.
2. Beware Issue 7 bringing DOOM! to the afk typing message!!!
3. It should be noted that i7 will cause an annoyance regarding this afk typing message.

If someone sends you a /tell while you're typing, the person sending the /tell will get an auto /tell back stating that you're afk.

Whether you use it from now on, your choice.

As much as I enjoyed having "Blah blah blah.." above my head, I will no longer be using it.
4. I somehow wound up with an NPC Statesman following me around the last half of a mission. His foot stomp does around 1500 damage to level 52 minions.

**SPOILER**
I do know how I got Statesman, but it shall remain a mystery to everyone else.
Muahaha.
5. SHORT VERSION: 3Damge, 2Accuracy, 1Range -or- 1Recharge

Allowed enhancements for Fire Imps:
Accuracy
Damage
EndRedux
Range
Recharge

Since you no longer have to keep summoning imps (I5) and ED discourages slotting any more than 3 of the same type enhancement (I6), here is my short analysi.
===========
For pet summoning (and hencmen) powers, there are enhancements that apply to you, and enhancements that apply to your pets.
Accuracy - Your pet, applies to all powers your pet uses (for monkeys, this is their Monkey Brawl)
Damage - Your pet, applies to all powers your pet uses.
EndRedux - Debateable. I believe this enhancement affects the endurance cost of actually summoning the pet. Most guides for MasterMinds goes on about how their Medibots keep running out of Endurance and adding one of these aleiviated the problem.
Range - Also Debateable. I believe it affects you and how far away the targeting reticule appears. It will never apply to fire imps since they have no ranged attacks, only Monkey Brawl. For other pets it may allow them to hit a target further away, but it does not affect their Aggro radius.
Recharge - Once again, debateable, It should affect you, how long will it take before you can attempt to re-summon your pets. I don't believe it will allow imps to use Monkey Brawl more often.

I will be basing my slotting suggestions based on this:
Accuracy - your pet
Damage - your pet
EndRedux - you
Range - you
Recharge - you

Being able to hit is just as important as the amount of damage dealt. In fact, I use this philosophy on most powers. As soon as I get any power I put an Accuracy in the default slot.
Dying monkeys means you have to re-summon them, and in back-to-back heated battles, you will want to be able to summon them at will.
Secondary sets and pool powers will affect your slotting. Kinetics with Siphon Speed can skip or use less Recharge than others, same with Hasten, though continual summoning (if they die) may require EndRedux (Fire Imps costs 26 endurance, 1/4 of you total endurance), though Stamina mitigates this. Running Tactics will reduce the need for Accuracy.

Possible slotting and reasoning behind it.
3Dmg, 2Acc, 1Recharge - Max/Min, Max Damage, effecient Accuracy, reduced Recharge
2Dmg, 1Acc, 2Recharge, 1EndRedux - Rounded - increase damage, accuracy covered, better recharge, less endurance
3Dmg, 1Acc, 1Recharge, 1EndRedux - better Rounded, damage is a must
3Dmg, 1Acc, 2Range - Sniper, summon your imps in the middle of a spawn, hopefully out of aggro range. They'll absorb the alpha, though poorly. Excellent for following Phantom Army when teaming.
3Recharge, 3EndRedux - My imps die a lot, I'm a terrible master. Oh well, summon more.

Also, Ive noticed that if you want scientists, you go into the tunnel with a red flickering light, and if you want to collect the code, you look for the tunnel with the blue flickering light.

[/ QUOTE ]Though all the tunnels are linked, it just takes a while to remember to make a right after the barrell instead of a left. Or go up the ramp next to the green goo instead of going under the conveyer belt. So lost in there sometimes. Yay for vidiots.

My 2 inf on the cost issue. Cedega only costs $99/year if you want to be able to use their upgrading system. Since Cedega 4.0.1 works beautifully with CoH just spend the $30 and get the product...

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmm..... last time I checked Windows XP upgrade cost $89..... so with that $99 you could buy the actual operating system, have NO compatibility issues and still have enough money for 10 Frostee's at Wendy's! Now why would I want to pay for this program?

[/ QUOTE ]

PLEASE NO WINDOWS vs. LINUX BASHING HERE!!!!

OP: Thank you. You've given me incentive to dual boot again. And CoX will probably run better on a... what was it called... a Naked X Session. I will probably push this thread through several pages as I get this to work.

1) Turrets don't regenerate. When you knock a turret down to 5% of its health, it stays there. It doesn't regenerate over time the way "living" bad guys do if you leave them alone.

2) There is a "turret respawn tick". Turrets don't respawn X length of time after they get knocked out: they all respawn at once, every five minutes or so.

Wonderful information! My lvl16 controller will never have to go without her Shivan again.
14. Name: The Vets

Shard: City of Heroes OR City of Villains

Overall Theme(s): Every player has a buffable pet. Every pet in the game that can be buffed/healed/damaged/killed and follows it's owner around is accounted for. Henchmen are not pets.

Backstory: We like pets. We cuddle up with them at night.

Group Make-up: There must be 1 of every buffable pet in every team. For Heroes, this means at least 5 Controllers and 1 Defender. For Villains, this means at least 4 Dominators, 1 Mastermind, and 1 Corruptor. The secondaries must in some way match their primary, and vice versa. (for controllers, empathy can match anything)

Mock Teams:

Ill/Sonic (light and sound)
Fire/TA (simply to light Oil Slick)
Grav/Kin (looks good together)
Grav/FF (forces)
Ice/Storm (water water everywhere)
Earth/Emp (starts with E?)
Dark/Electric (two pets, one unbuffable)
Dark/Dark (just cuz)

Plant/Psionic (starts with P?)
Grav/Energy (wanted all the secondaries)
Fire/Fiery (FIRE!)
Ice/Icy (ICE!)
Plant/Thorn (rose bush)
Necro/Dark (darkity dark)
Robots/Dark (Assault bot)
Dark/Dark (just cuz)

Blasters: None. Even Voltaic Sentinel does not count. nor does Auto Turret.
Controllers: All except Mind. Storm Summoning doesn't count. Any Secondary.
Defenders: Dark Miasma only. Any Secondary.
Scrappers: None.
Tankers: None.

Brutes: None
Corruptors: Dark Miasma only. Any Primary
Dominators: All except mind. Any Secondary.
Masterminds: Dark Miasma only. Any Primary, henchmen out with pet = OK
Stalkers: None

Combat Strategy and Power Combinations: All are required to take Recall Friend and/or Team Teleport. This will allow placement of their pets. Pets are their primary source of damage and must be on or near the front line of battle. Having a mix of support powers on the team helps in every way possible. Empathy spams their auras, Radiation keeps as many toggles going as they can, etc. Masterminds must use their henchmen to tank for the other pets.

Costume, Names, and Other Design Issues: Costumes are liberal, whatever best matches their pet. Illusion should get starburst aura and a costume to match the Phantom Army, even if they don't take it. Fire should try to be as monkey like as possible, yellow fiery aura. Earth will have stone skin and take the Earth Mastery APP. Gravity... that's a tough one. Ice, light blue aura, can even be fire. Dark, Tendrils aura, black or dark grey.

Alternative Suggestions: Can easily get away with some of the other pets. Blasters and Defenders can have Voltaic Sentinel. Blasters can get away with Devices. The melee AT's are out though.

Can it work? Definately. Will it happen? Not likely.
15. Before I discovered the boards (shutup, I'm slow), I found all the information in the first post of this thread on various other websites. So the information is there.

However, what is not there are extensive examples. I do not have the time, however I have the space to store such examples.

However however, for most of your binding needs, get CityBinder. CityBind has Speed on Demand, Mastermind pet commands, and a nice buff section (read: imp speed boosting and entire team buffing). Every hero I roll gets a CityBinder profile, even if it's just my complex bind to rotate between 'thank you' and 'grief' binds. 'grief' meaning '/local Why must this be?!?$$em greif' type thing when someone dies.
16. The command, '/cmdlist', does not list any such commands for making your own thumbtack. It may exist however, as some information in /cmdlist is semi-out of date.

There is however the /loc command. /loc gives you your current Loc W, Loc Up, Loc S. It takes me a bit of trial and error, but I can find the badge/plaque using it.

for easyness sake, make a bind or a macro.

/bind L "loc"
17. Taxibot Yahtzee has got to be the coolest thing I've ever seen. I'm rolling a taxibot.

20. What you're looking for is called Speed on Demand. SoD. It basically sets up your movement keys to activate Sprint (or SS or Fly) when you press it and deactivate it when you let go. It's not perfect, but very handy.

CityBinder Beta Version 0.3

CityBinder has built in SoD to help you easily set it up.

If that's too tricky (it was for me for a few months) then use this.

/bind g "powexectoggleoff sprint"

Replace G with your key of choice. Pressing G will ALWAYS turn off sprint.

instead of saving to my C:\ Is it posssible to save a .txt file into a folder like C:\COHBINDS\CHARACTERNAME\attack_1.txt kinda thing. If so waht would the command be to load that?

it should be something like:

/bindloadfile c:\cohbinds\charactername\attack_1.txt
/bind K "powexecname Brawl$$bindloadfile c:\cohbinds\charactername\attack_1.txt"
