    ooo CPUs are about to have competing new releases, do they have an approximate releasedate yet? Even as vague as a month (lol)?

    The build I was referring to gave me a pricing change notification when I clicked my link for it this week, referencing the nvidia 460 768mbs, and lowered the total $20. Since there were 2 in the build for SLI that means cyberpowerpc has lowered the cost of their 460 768mb $10 already.

    You are expecting them to drop again soon? About how much lol? That would be awesome for me, CoHs graphics went up with UM and Praetoria, but I don't expect another graphics upgrade from them again soon so my requirements are still the same, I'll keep the currently selected cards instead of jumping on the new ones and enjoy the discount

    Nice! My dream computer (from my thread from earlier this month/september) on cyberpower's total dropped $20 because the cards I had selected were knocked down by this release .

    Then again, $20, the total is still $1563 haha

    As some have said here CoH likes to stockpile data you came across while you play, but one thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is "/unloadgfx". It clears out all the old data from previous zones you've been in this play session etc. My laptop has 2gb of ram and I have a thing that monitors % used, unloadgfx drops it a good 10-15% usually, after awhile CoH will have to be logged out and re-logged to get the rest gone, but this increases my playability when i'm multitasking too much for coh's liking quite well .

    (/unloadgfx will make your graphics go insane for a moment, it kinda erases everything on your screen and recompiles it, it's best to do it in a "quiet" area. If I do it in a crowded place or in the middle of an 8man team's fight sometimes the /unloadgfx will actually promptly crash me lol.)

    I thought this thread was going to be about how lately the thursday maintenance has gone past a half-hour of overtime before the servers were back up.

    A couple responses here already mention that post-i19 the tuesday patches will die down. On the contrary, my bet will be they continue, as they get everything from GR perfect and start fixing everything that gets missed in i19 beta over a few weeks of time corrected as well.

    For months now everytime I quit to desktop and click Exit Now CoH will lockup, and a few minutes later will close and display the cryptic towers crashwindow. Every single time I exit that way. Does this happen for anyone else?

    this happened to me all the time while base editing, sometimes CoH would just plain crash. And no it never really went away, my base is huge and setup perfectly and hasn't been modified in like 8 months .

    Kinda scary to know it was my card failing though. I reallllly need to come into some money to get that dream computer I have all configured.

    I also never let powerchoices decide whether the character has a cape or not. Wings/Craftable boots yes, but not a cape. Several of my toons use Super Speed and have a cape and it looks great, I prefer them to fly usually, but hasten's more useful than hover .

    I saw this booster's announcement earlier and was excited, the one downside was gonna be wanting capes/auras from an origin other than my own, but then there's the fine-print, saying any origin can use any of the new items so that's awesome .

    My question is whether they will have to be unlocked like the DVD edition cape, or ready from lvl1 like the valkyrie and GR aura's etc.

    yeah, it should be working on both sides. I actually did it with this badge specifically, I took my 50 controller redside and worked on mages while hunting cold demons in sharkhead, and got both badges.

    Question, during the test, I got the CoP mission, and went to the transporter and was send to a FBZ like zone, which was kinda neat. But being along and a defender, I decided not to tourist too much. So I clicked back on the cristal and returned to my base. But I could not figure out was how to drop the mission! Fortunately its a timed one, so it ran its course. I did notice that while the mission was active the game would not allow me to make base modifications.
    It probably put you in TF mode like Ouroboros, and since you were solo you likely didn't have the team window open to see. If it's like Ouro, you'd open the team window and hit the huge "Quit TaskForce" button. I still forget that's how to abandon them sometimes myself.

    You mean like not able to create heroes or villains? I'm curious where you heard that lol, AFAIK since it's an expansion of cityofheroes/cityofheroes(which have been 1 product for years now), new players buying the GR edition can play any of the 3.

    But I got Laura Vandervoort's autograph (#350ish on line of an expected 100 served woohoo ) and she is sweet as can be, that made the day worth it lol, then dinner at the hardrock .

    Are the MSI and Asus motherboards that different (a clear better)? I see the MSI has an integrated graphics chip and displayports, but I'm spending a fortune on videocards so those aren't useful to me lol, the PCIs on the Asus sound more useful. My selected case holds 7 expansion ports I think, the asus has 6? 2 of the 4 full-size PCI slots on the asus look different, what are those? If I upgrade to that one you said I'll be able to add the cyberpower wifi card right?

    I'd like the size of a PCI-E for something like wifi, but it's easier to just add what the site offers, and with shipping and a good card (plus installing it) if the asus board works I'll just use that.

    With the 2 Videocards (PCI), USB3.0 Expansion (PCIe), and Wifi card (PCI on cyberpower), that leaves 1 free PCI and PCIe on the Asus right?

    Somewhere along my CoH Boards help travels I was given this Hierarchy of video cards at Toms Hardware, it puts the GTX 260 in the same comparison-tier as the GTX 460, which in my thread they suggested I setup 2 of with SLI and would be able to max Ultramode at your exact resolution of 1920x1080.

    So according to that hierarchy chart and the members here if you are comfortable installing the simple driver to allow CoH to use SLI you should be able to get Max Ultra Mode settings at 1920x1080 like you want with this card you found.

    If I missed something or a speed or quality of something is different making me wrong I'm sure someone who participated in that conversation in my thread will swoop in and correct me lol.
