  7. Well, lets look at the sets.

    Footstomp is SS's ONLY area attack. There is no other way to damage multiple targets than with Footstomp, and it gets it late in the career.

    Electric Melee on the other hand at level eight has a cone with a BI of 3.68 (Roughly equal to Footstomp), and a weird AoE-thing with Thunderstrike with 2.66 AoE. Not to mention at 32 it gets a rather powerful PbAoE attack as well...

    Hrmn, I dunno. Seems decent to me I guess.

    See, thats the thing. If its a straight damage multiplyer, then it will just be 13 Damage. If its actually -Res, it'd be 40.

    Alright then, question two. Is this correct?

    If you do 100 damage, against an opponent with 90% resistance to your damage, you'd do 10 Damage.

    If you used a power giving -30% Res, that'd only effect the 10 Damage, turning it into 13?

    Long long ago, in a post far away, one of the devs mentioned the way -Resistance worked. Now, What I've heard that post mentioned was that -Res wasnt actual -Res but a damage multiplier. Is this correct, or is this one of the fallacies just randomly flying around?

    As my brute I've never been mezzed by an energy melee warden boss. The lingering radiation does hurt as it kills my recharge and regen rate. The warden boss that came closest to killing me was a grav/kin warden. For that one I had to use earths embrace and about 10 respites. I don't call that so much overpowered as I do challenging.

    All of this is on the 'Ruthless' setting, I believe which is the equivelent to 'Unyielding'. When I was DOs in Bloody Bay, I was on vicious.

    Granted I do have some advantages, such as I tp in and total focus the boss. But then he wanders away flying while I'm rooted, so that's not too much of an advantage.

    I can also take on longbow on vicious with my corruptor without to much of a hassle.

    My personal opinion is leave them as they are, I enjoy the extra xp.

    Uh huh. You do realise we're not even talking about low level longbow? They're easy during the low levels. They're much harder when you hit 40.

Usually with very few or no deaths from my henchmen. And, I can't even remember the last time the managed to actually defeat me. And yes, they are 40+.

    I'd also like to note that Soloing longbow is a [censored] cakewalk. On teams they're much harder, due to having multiple spec ops, more bosses, and the Nullifiers. My MM has longbow as a cakewalk when solo. Big deal. Soloing is easy.

My mercs get out of the burn patches and I simply debuff, fear, hold, or otherwise kill them quickly. I took hover to help deal with the grenades they lob, but otherwise I wouldn't call them overpowered.

  21. This is rediculous. Level 40 Longbow are flat out overpowered, and I'm calling the devs out on this one. Malta? Pshaw! These guys eat them for [censored] breakfast.

    Lets look at the individual units.

    Longbow Flamethrower

    The bane of Masterminds everywhere.
    -Have an AoE power that creates a burn patch for everything it hits. Villain, HENCHMEN, ForceField Generator, whatever. They can effectively stack infinite burn patches.
    -Gain another AoE ignite power at level 40, a Grenade that creates a burn patch.
    -Already have a cone AoE attack.

    Longbow Spec-Ops
    -Have stealth.
    -Gain an AoE Endurance Drain at level 40.
    -Can come in multiples in each spawn, unlike sappers which are regulated to one per spawn, maximum.

    Longbow Nullifiers

    -Have plenty of regular damage to go around.
    -At level 40 gain an AoE hold that can punch its way through a Brutes protection. Thats a bit rediculous.



    So, devs, any reason that these guys are so absurdly powerful, and Arachnos is so very weak?

    Longbow Officers, Wardens, whatever

    -These guys Buff, Debuff tremendously, and have rediculous amounts of firepower.

    Having Blaster level Melee attacks
    Having Blaster level Ranged attacks with toggle dropping and status effects

    Archery has the highest Accuracy in the game. All powers have an accuracy of 1.16. Ranged shot, the sniper attack, has an accuracy of 1.39.

    So that like getting 1 free ACC DO in all Archery powers. Against a target with no defense, thats a 87% chance ToHit.

    In comparison, most powers in the game have an accuracy of 1. Most sniper attacks have an accuracy of 1.2. Assault Rifle has an ACC of 1.05 (1.25 for thier sniper attack).
