How To Make Thing's Die: Serps' Guide to Nin/Nin Stalkers
The best guide I've ever written.
[/ QUOTE ]
The reward for good work is more work!
Care to write something up on Patron pools? Yeah, we hope they'll be revamped, but how do they stand now? Aside from "not very well.'
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't really need a guide for that. Generally, from what I've read lurking on the forums:
Widow and Mu are decent, with fast animating attacks that can be slotted into a DPS chain fairly well.
Mace has redraw and tends to be less effective, web grenade can be nice for PvP, but other than that I never hear the praises of it sung.
As for Mako, I never hear anyone talking about Mako, sometimes I even wonder if the silly [censored] VFX turns most people off the pool completely.

I've heard that Water Spout is a riot in Mayhem missions. -

Same here. -
I think I should write a Broadsword/Super Reflexes guide, there doesn't seem to be a recent one there. I'll get info from more experienced players too though.

Prof, this is a necrothread, from back in '05.

I know that, I just didn't get what he was saying.
Was Faultline in the original release or was it added later? -
Faultline is unpopular?
I never fail to find a team there.
-
I think the revamps were mainly focused on the most dead and notorious zones of all. Boomtown and Perez are ghost towns but at least not too hard to get around, while old Faultline was a living hell to get around, the Rikti Crash Site was near impossible to get to and the Hollows... well, we all know about that.
Personally I'd still like to see a bit more villainside content before they redo another zone. That or they redo low-level Hero content in general, it's seriously showing its age. -
And the Clockwork had already killed a cop- in real life, criminals who've killed a cop rarely get taken alive...
-
I still like the idea of the Praetorian Blue Steel being a Troll.
He may not be a Freedom Phalanxer per se, but that doesn't seem to really be a requirement for having a Praetorian counterpart. -

Back when they were the 5th, this made a little more sense, but the real Nazis were involved in occult research, looking for a weapon to use against the Allies. Seems the COH version found that weapon in the Vampiri and Warwolves.
[/ QUOTE ]
If I recall, there were only a few Germans -- Hitler to some extent, but mostly Himmler -- seeking supernatural/mythological weapons, specifially, the "Spear of Destiny"... the rest of the German army were pretty much committed to conventional weaponry, while racing to built an atom bomb...

It's a common comic book concept too though, just look at Hellboy. -
Sometime September 2006
My PC Powerplay demo CD comes with a free two-week trial for this City of Villains game. I remember seeing the box for this and liking the idea, so why not?
Getting a now-deleted Merc/FF Mastermind gradually to 14 or so with a craptastic build later, all I want is more... but there goes the trial. Damn, that went by fast. The forums rock too.
Some time later, I return a pair of headphones that don't seem to work (recently I learned that it was the headphone ports on the front of the computer that are broken...) and trade them for the City of Heroes box and a game time card.
I can't create villains yet? Eh well, Sabre Justice is made, he fights his way through Outbreak and enters a city cloaked in darkness... Halloween event huh? A few levels, a free costume slot and one dead Eochai later the darkness clears.
Severe altitis, a couple respecs, a hiatus of a few months and a lot of changes later, Sabre Justice is level 45, has a long flowing cape and an awesome high-tech sword, and is showing no signs of stopping again. -
After playing my EM/Inv tonight, I agree that nobody should play anything other than Brutes.
-
I dunno about rock bottom. Blasters are apparently the order of the day in PvP in any case.
You just gotta be canny when soloing. On a team, you're an incredibly boon. Defiance did help a lot solo though. -
[ QUOTE ]
So yeah, it's great that a handful of people think that CoH is the "bestest, most goodest, uber-perfect game in creation", but at the end of the day, you're hurting the game. You're hurting it the same way the Star Wars fanboys hurt the three Prequels: by convincing the people in charge that the majority of the fanbase are "wrong", and that everything is completely peachy-keen.
[/ QUOTE ]
But the thing is, in our case we do the exact opposite. Therefore it must be a good thing. -
It's like family. You complain about them all the time, that doesn't mean you don't love them.
-
We need a new Regen guide taking the new MoG into account. Is that good for Stalkers now?

Hurrah, Castle sounds happy!
Let's try not to change that.
[/ QUOTE ]
He's got minions! Who wouldn't be happy to have minions?

Read the MM Minions thread a few posts down. -
Add Manticore to that list too.
Lighthouse and Ex Libris are design support? -

Strange, because I get hardly any lag in Grandville.
[/ QUOTE ]
What the hell kind of supervillain ultracomputer are you using? -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Well... Less pop yes but also really hard to get some salvage at certain levels. Grandville is basically tech/magic, RWZ is tech and with the new i12 stuff we might finally see a magic zone, that should fix a LOT.
Oh, speaking of salvage, fix the people that don't make sense at low level... The legacy of Chain still drop tech and even the Luddites do too!
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah legacy chain should drop magic but I'm not sure what the luddites should drop. They HATE tech but aren't really magical either... Maybe both?
[/ QUOTE ]
They're more likely to use magic devices than tech, so I say magic. -
Turn Undead! *holds out Space Marine Chaplain figure*
-
Not a bad idea, actually. Closest to side switching we ever really should get.
-
What can be made into a great paint?
Shotgun Billy. -
When was Rick Rolling popular? From what I've heard it seems to have been a meme from a while ago that came back into fashion.
And you get awesome stuff like this. -

Also if pvp on its own is not good enough (read imablances all around) then no amount of LURING is going to save the system. The imbalances themselves need to be fixed
[/ QUOTE ]
The Great PvP Imbalance Fix:
You enter the zone.
Your opponent enters the zone.
Both of your power-trays gray completely out except for two powers: Brawl and Sprint.
You are now equal, guys. Parity achieved. Have at it.

But Controllers get less HP than Tankers!
